I currently have SportsTap. I like it so far but I do which their wasn't a limit of 7 teams to follow. Is their any other good Sports Apps with news and scores? Does ESPN or CBS Sports have an android app out yet?
I'm also looking for a good workout app. Something that can be like a personal trainer to me in setting up workout routines and tracks my progress.
Whats the best app for NFL scores? something simple and easy to use

Find a sport app that I'm looking for? I've been through many different ones and none are what I'm looking for.
I'm looking for an app widget that gives the scores of all the games not just my favorite teams.
Has anyone had trouble getting in game alerts from Sports Tap and LIve scores? Sports Tap was working but then became unreliable so i added live scores to the list. I have never gotten an update from live scores, and since sports tap hasn't worked either. Any ideas?
View 15 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for two particular apps. The most important one is a podcast app where I can subscribe to an RSS feed and have it automatically download the last 10 or so podcasts that get released each day (or at least have this as a configurable option). I listen to a sports radio station every morning and I have been downloading the podcasts with iTunes for the time being and putting them on to my iPod but there has to be an app for Android that can download podcasts, right? I've got BeyondPod right now and it seems a bit clunky. I've heard good things about PodCatcher but since its a paid app, I haven't taken the dive yet. Would prefer a free one obviously but if paid is the only way to go, I'll drop the $5-$10 or whatever it is for PodCatcher. Any recommendations? Also, where are the apps for viewing sports scores. Does ESPN not have an app? They've got an iPhone app. They better jump on the Android bandwagon because we ain't going anywhere. Does anyone recommend an app for quick views of sports scores and even better, stream sports highlights. Basically, an all around sports app would be sweet!

I also saw a new one advertised tonight during the Lakers game called SportsNow, I checked their website and it is only for iphone. I do have Live scores installed and it is pretty good but I want more choices.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am looking to add a (local, not online) high scores table to my Android app and I wanted to get some insight on the best way to approach the problem.
I have a list of users (right now being saved out to a file and read back in as an array of User objects), and the high scores need to reference this data to populate the table with the user's name and photo, etc.
For the display, I think a TableLayout would probably be my best option. I can make columns for picture, name, score, etc.
For the information itself, I'm thinking maybe a SQLite table would be the best way to organize my data? If so, then it may be worthwhile to move my user data to a SQLite table as well so I can ensure the data is cross-referenced properly.
I went with the SQLite database (using two tables) and it works great! Wasn't too hard to learn and get working either. For the layout, it turns out a ListView with a custom adapter was the best way to accomplish what I wanted (more flexible than a TableLayout).
I'm creating the specification for a game I'm about to start creating on android, my main concern is how should I keep scores and settings on android? I assume they would be two different things.
The game has players that will have their settings and scores stored and then a settings menu (for the person setting up the game, not necessarily the player).
How would I go about storing these things? What type of data storage means should I be looking into?
I am still trying to understand now android layouts work. I am developing an application for displaying soccers results for a brazilian championship. I will have a list view for displaying the last game scores, like the image in the url below (extracted from an iphone aplication). http://grem.io/images/score.jpg

View 4 Replies View RelatedIf I don't use ATK, my phone runs very fast and smooth with a ton of crap listed in the back ground. It even scrolls fine. However, it benchmarks lower than when I use ATK to kill everything. My quadrant scores really get low when ATK shows a ton of programs. Kill them and the phone is slow, but benches higher. I stopped using ATK for the most part, but occassionally do for what ever reasons. High bench marks makes me feel good, but so does a smooth phone!
