I have just got my goggle voice invite and decided to use just my same cell number and not get a new goggle voice number. I have downloaded the GV app and everything seems to work fine but there is a voice mail icon in the notification tray at the top and when I click on it, it just sends me to the "the goggle voice....." What do I need to do to get the notification gone from the tray.

Is anyone else goggle voice displaying in the app as Name: Name - message? it's not that big of a deal it just kind of bugs me that the name is displayed twice.

I recently updated my x 10 mini pro to éclair. The problem i faced was wen i synced my phone with my goggle account and imported contacts from a vcf file that i had backed up earlier, all my contacts have same phone number multiple times. I have disabled syncing goggle contacts, disabled showing goggle contacts and just the phone contacts to show... but of i edit a contact and select the option of split contacts.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have made what I think is the mistake of setting up all of my contacts in my Incredible as "phone" contacts. I now understand that these should have been set up as Google contacts so that they will be backed up on my Google account. I do not see a way to edit these contacts to change them from phone to Google. Am I going to have to delete and re-enter all of these contacts as Google contacts to get this done?

Is there a way to know if the notifiication screen is actually being shown, so I can adjust how often I wouldn't be so concerned if not for the fact that the HTC Incredible will reboot after it receives several hundred or so updates. Based on a controlled experiment with a beta tester, the service could continue for 24 hours if it did not update progress, but dies after several hundred updates. So I am desperate to reduce the notifications, if that's what works, and one of the ways I could do that is by not updating as much or at all if that screen isn't being shown.

When I slide the notification bar down to reveal the nofications and click on an item, the notification screen doesn't hide back to the top of my phone -- it just stays open. I either have to hide it manually or I have to hit the back button, which sometimes exits the app I was trying to open. 2.1 never did this for me, it always hid when choosing an item. Anyone have a solution to this? I've done a factory reset after 2.2 btw. I've also searched support to see if there was a similar problem, no similar threads.

Use case: Yahoo Weather app, the persistent notification in the pulldown is beautiful. I want it to always be there. However, the little temperature notification icon is pretty ugly, and I want to hide/disable it.
Using JB's "disable notifications" won't work since it will disable the entire notification, not just the icon.
I've factory reset my phone 3 times today for data problems and push email issues. Since the last time, I have a voicemail icon in my notification bar, clicking on it tells me to call my GV number to hear 3 messages. I cleared the messages in the GV app,but the notification wont go away. It has no Clear button to dismiss. I've rebooted the phone, tried calling the number, but have not yet tried throwing it against the wall. That's next. I know there isn't a LED at top of the Samsung Moment, but I think the Hero has one, but on the Moment the home, menu back buttons will light up and it would be way cool to have the androids light up on incoming calls and messages. I have a Blackberry Curve and BerryBuzz is a very nice app. and I am missing this feature on the Moment. You can also assign different tones and alerts for each individual app which makes it nice to not have to use same tone or alert for all incoming messages.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have recenltly got a HTC (I have a HTC Magic running 2.2 on Cyanogenmod-6.0.0.DS.) and I was wondering if anybody know's of an App that will allow me to change the notifications of applications individually, with working shift work, I have bought and installed an app that allows me to do black and white lists for the calls, but I need the facility to switch the phone into silent mode for the SMS/MMS but still notify for Emails through Gmail, would be good to either have a widget to similar to just open, switch, close.I know I've got the option to go into the system app and change and Gmail and change, but then having to change back, etc. I could just run the call manager, switch profile, run the notification manager, switch profile. There are notification changers out there, but they arn't as customizable as I would like.
