Add this value to the y axis when you draw.
ie.
canvas.drawText(text, cx, cy+ty, mTextBrush);
Where cx and xy are your center points

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm getting beat down with GTALK_ASYNC_CONN wakelocks while on my work's AP.... the specific WL is :gtalk_async_conn com.google.android.gsf.gtalkservice.androidendpoint.... something everyone has been complaining about recently, and I never saw it until recently (now that I got up to 4.1.2 a short time ago.
Is there a way to determine exactly who is generating that WL? It's not related to GTALK, as the WL name incorrectly leads us to believe, but it must be google, and I only see it fire when the Wi-Fi is connected and in use. It's non-existent when I'm on Mobile. It comes and goes, sometimes chugging wake time like its cheap beer, othertimes it's dormant, and I haven't been able to figure out who is using it based on the context of when it occurs.
There HAS to be a log or something somewhere that says process X is responsible.
Can I find out from my Android app, what is the browser's user agent string?

Are there any tools that go through the file taken from the xcode project and build the xml needed to use the strings in android? Sorting by date doesn't work because they're strings (unless I'm doing it wrong.I've googled this issue for ~5 days, and it looks like there should be a way to capture the date from the date picker, convert it to a Long, store it in sqlite as a Long, select and sort on the Long date value, then convert the Long back to a "mm/dd/yyyy" string for display. I've tried various combinations of parse statements, Date, FormatDate, etc. with no luck at all.On activity start, get today's date and display it in button which calls the datepicker.Capture new date from datepicker (if one is entered), save it as a long to sqlite.On opening an activity showing a listview of records, select from sqlite with orderby on date (Long), convert Long to "mm/dd/yyyy" string for display in ListView.

I have preferences.xml which has the layout for my preferences file, and I would like to reference a single item from the string array to use as the title.
In the Android developer reference, I see how I can reference a single string with XML, but now how I can reference a string from an array resource in XML.
Can anybody give me some clue that how to convert binary string into a string(english). I have tried and googled so much but couldn't find an answer.

But what does that mean exactly? The diameter or the radius? The Circular Error Probable (CEP), the 95-percentile or something else? I hope they are of the same type in GPS and GSM positioning. Does somebody know where these information are given into the system? As far as i know, are the GSM coordinates returned by a hidden Google API over a Web Service. So no chance to see an exact calculation. But where is the Accuracy of GPS calculated. I thought the GPS receiver only returns a dimensionless DOP value. And with Android 1.5 its not posible to read the NMEA sentences directly.

What I would like the dependent preference to be enabled when the other is not checked and disabled when it is checked. Maybe the issue isn't with android:dependency maybe there is an xml attribute that I can add to make the default for that preference disabled and then android:dependency will toggle it the opposite way like I want. I tried setting android:enabled="false" in the preference and it disables it like I want but even with it being dependent on the other preference it didn't enable it like I had hoped.

With my job I have to fill out a very detailed field report requiring exact times I spoke with someone, did something, etc. and I used to use my text messages as a way to keep record of this.
