I have several games I have developed for flash and use as google gadgets. I want to package them for the addroid market. Is this possible? Can you package flash games for use on android phones. I can play them if i like directly to the swfs on my server. Can you point out any tutorials on how to do this in the sdk? Im a complete newbie in this realm.

I'm a beginner android developer and thinking about making a decently big game. I know that Flash air is only available to android 2.2 and future releases, but should I still make the game using Flash? Using Java would imo be so much more difficult and time consuming, but I suppose all android versions would be able to run it. Also, how efficient can android 2.2 run Flash Air? Can a game made in Flash Air run almost as fast as the game made with Java?

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo most flash games require some sort of keyboard for it and for those phones such as the SGS or the Evo cannot play flash games. Would it be possible to have a customizable keyboard where you can set buttons to what ever is needed for the game play, most flash games are 2-4 buttons, 6 tops.
My question is could someone do this/is it even possible? Since I'm not expert at application dev and don't have time I figured I'd ask

Sonic 3 looks lovely, runs at 60fps and never stutters. It even seems to look higher rez than most Android apps.Android platformer games are nowhere near as good looking or smooth.So what the hell is going on? The hardware on top end Android phones (Desire, galaxy etc) is clearly capable.

Question: why does the android platform not have games that are as good??
I remember seeing one games, I think it was called scooter - the whole damn screen moved as u mived the iphone left and right I only played for a minute - but it looked damn awesome why dont we have as good games! the persons phone: heck, it was only an iphone 3g - so u cant say it was better hardware or anything angry birds - I like - apart from that, I haven't seen any games I would even rate (ok, so angry birds is just worms game reinvented - but the subtle use of great graphics make it brilliant)
Important: I have an x10 mini pro which is STILL running android 1.6 - is this the reason why? are there better games on 2.1 and 2.2? or is it to do with the fact that there are better developers for the iphone?
Are there any multiplayer interactive games where someone with an Android phone can play with someone who has an iPhone? I'm looking for something like Words With Friends where two people who have iPhones can play scrabble together.

I'm looking for something like it (Scrabble), but also anything else that's fun and you can play with your friends (poker, shooting, conquering, puzzles, etc). Preferably something where they can make a move, I receive a notification, and respond back at my convenience and vice versa, not where we both have to "be online at the same time". Oh, and free.
