I have an Android Eclipse project and an associated Android Test Eclipse project checked into a subversion repository. Given a checked out working copy, how do I bring the Android Test project into an Eclipse workspace? It's easy to add the Android project to the workspace (just File->New Project->Android Project->From Existing Source and point it at the directory in the svn working copy). But, the 'New Android Test Project' does not have an option to create from existing source.

Project doesn't use any external jars and rather simple. If I uncheck build automatically and build it - it builds and runs just fine. I'm on MacOSX 10.5.6 and JDK 1.6.0_07. And latest android SDK ( android-sdk-mac_x86-1.1_r1.zip 79046151 bytes becf0f1763d61eedce15d2a903d6c1dd )
I have an interesting problem. I pull down an android project from cvs, which works fine. Once Eclipse builds the project, my .java files are removed. XML files, pngs, everything else is fine. I seem to be left with just the package tree, but no source files. Any thoughts?

View 5 Replies View RelatedSomethings I'll have an? .xml file selected when I compile a project, only to have a? .out.xml generated. Deleting the file doesn't clear the error, and Eclipse won't compile the project. It just reports that your project contains errors. The solution is to go to Project/Clean. This will clear the error in the project and allow it to compile.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a module that builds an app called MyApp.I have another that builds some testcases for that app, called MyAppTests. They both build their own APKs, and they both work fine from within my IDE. I'd like to build them using ant so that I can take advantage of continuous integration.Building the app module works fine. I'm having difficulty getting the Test module to compile and run.I used android create test-project -p MyAppTests -m ../MyApp -n MyAppTests to create the necessary build files to build and run my test project. This seems to work great (once I remove an unnecessary test case that it constructed for me and revert my AndroidManifest.xml to the one I was using before it got replaced by android create), but I have two problems.Any idea what's causing the "Class ref in pre-verified class resolved to unexpected implementation" error?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm just getting started developing for Android and I'm running into a weird problem.
First off, I'm running Eclipse for Java devs v3.5.2 with the Android 2.1 SDK installed.
Basically, whenever I do just about anything the "gen" (R.java, etc.) folder will just disappear from the project. I'm seen some people online say that it was still on the drive, just gone from the project listing in Eclipse, but in my case it is literally and completely gone.
The only fix I've found is that if I refresh, then try to build, it gives an error and "gen" shows up in the project view (though it's not on the disk), then delete it from within the project, then Rebuild All and it will say that it cannot find it and is recreating it.
Problem is, I have to do this every single time I want to build.
There's got to be a fix for this.

View 3 Replies View RelatedA few weeks ago, I followed a tutorial to get Eclipse and the Android Development Kit up and running. I successfully built the test application and ran it on a virtual device.
Tonight I finally went back to do the next step in the tutorial, but when I went to start a new project there wasn't an option to start a new Android project. Even searching for it didn't produce anything. Window -> Preferences doesn't have an Android preferences dialog, either. The developer tools are still installed, though, according to Help -> Install New Software.
I'm using Eclipse Galileo 3.5.2 on Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat. I just recently upgraded. I remember I had to install some additional packages to get Eclipse to run the Android stuff last time. I haven't uninstalled those, so I don't know what's causing the problem.
What's causing this problem, and what can I do to fix it?

I am using Windows and Eclipse. Through a few mis-clicks, I removed the Android library from my project. I am able to add the android.jar file from the specific version I want but that is does not allow me to run.

I am just starting to get setup for android development. I have installed pulsar and the proper sdks I think. I want to develop for the droid x.
I can't find any information on how to create a new project using the installed sdks. Shouldn't there be a project type for android? Nothing like this is showing up.
Are there any tutorials for getting started using pulsar for android dev?
I'm trying to use the JJIL libraries with my Android project:

I'm pretty new to android, and just finished setup my environment and reading some tutorials. Then I got sdk samples from the web. Okay, what I wanna ask you is that is there a way to start a sample as a project in the Eclipse? I mean like clicking a project file in c# or a solution file.code...
Or, do I need to make a new android project and import (or add files? maybe) them?

I have created a Library Project which I import into another project. In that Library Project at some point I retrieve it's android:versionName To do that you need to supply the package name. The problem arises when that code is executed when the Library Project is included within another project, then it seems that that code throws an exception : 10-04 10:15:36.987: WARN/System.err(1407): getSoftwareVersion(), Caught Exception : android.content.pm.PackageManager$NameNotFoundException: mobilaria.android.LandenPlayerCodeBase.baseplayer Thats the package name of the package of the Project Library... it seems it cannot find it even though the same code that is executing that call is part of the Library itself... Does anyone have experienced something like this or has an idea on how to solve this? /edit : I posted this on stackoverflow as well and someone responded with : "As far as I know android library project manifest is ignored at the moment, manifest is not merged into end application when you reference a library. Hence you cant extract any data from the library's manifest." So my question now is : hhmmm ok, that would explain it I guess... But is there any official statement or anyone who knows this for sure ? For example someone who has already worked with a Library Project extensively before ?
