The Spotify app was launched today, but when I try to download it I always get the message 'download unsuccessful'. Has anyone been able to download it? Perhaps it's just because the system is overwhelmed with it being the launch day...

When I take phone out of airplane mode Spotify still doesn't come back on. I want to be able to use Spotify at night, but with phone in this mode. I used to be able to do this in iPhone, am I doing something wrong? Would it have something to do with SD card?

I had an old HTC Desire in a drawer at home and thought I'd try let it serve as a Spotify Connect device attached to my Hifi. With the new Spotify Connect feature you can remotely connect to and control another device on your network to play music - perfect for me - without needing to buy a pricey new receiver with the feature built in!
It works remarkably well, much better than DLNA from my HTC One, with one caveat: after a period of inactivity it no longer shows up in the list of Connect devices in Spotify and I need to physically switch the screen on and select the Spotify app from the task list.
It's running CM 7.1 and turned Wifi power saving off in Wifi advanced settings. What else I could do to force it out of any power saving mode, seeing as it's connected to mains at all times?
How can I get the Spotify app to run in tablet mode on my HTC One? I'm trying to use Xposed App Settings to do it, but the app still recognizes my device as a phone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to use Spotify on my phone, but a stupid app restriction allows me only to listen randomly chosen songs from an artist or a playlist. This doesn't happen on the tablet version hopefully, so I want to use the tablet version on my S4. I used the Xposed module "App Settings" in order to change the app's dpi to 240 and even to 160, but it doesn't change to tablet mode (although the app became nearly impossible to read because of the dpi). I assume that Spotify doesn't change its form by dpi then, what this app knows it's on a tablet?
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy issue is that after flashing a new rom (after wiping data/factory reset) Spotify will automatically delete my offline playlist. Using Titanium or any other backup solution WILL not work with spotify. After restoring it will restore default settings of the app and log you out.
I have tried copying the Spotify folder from my phone to my computer, than pasting after flashing the rom, but this does not work. Any way to NOT have to re-download spotify playlist after flashing roms?
I can't install the Spotify app, even though I can install other apps. Is it possible that this is a Galaxy-specific problem? Have any Galaxy owners successfully downloaded this app?

I am able to sync my phone to my bluetooth for phone use; however, I cannot figure out how to get Spotify Mobile to play via bluetooth. For those that have a 2008 or prior year BMW with bluetooth, is it possible to get Spotify (and other streaming music) to play over bluetooth? Or is this not an option? I know current model cars allow you to do this, but I'm beginning to suspect that this option was not available in 2008, at least for BMWs.

Now i woundering if ther is any apps that make it possible for me to use my galaxy s or laptop as a remotecontrol to change track etc, etc. have looked at Remote Web Desktop but i cant control spotify through that. And DroidMote Server does not work on the tablet for some reason.

I want to be able to download and install my app from my website, but when i do this at the moment i get the error:-
Download unsuccessful - Cannot Download. The content is not supported on the phone.
After looking into this it became apparent that the PHP Magic, that handles the downloads from the website, recognises the file as a .zip file rather then a .apk file and sends the it a .zip, that the phone does not recognise.
Does anyone know a way to get PHP Magic to recognise the file as an apk so that file extension does not get changed and the phone can recognise it?
Tonight I was setting another album to offline in Spotify when it reported I ccouldn't save any more music. Bit puzzled seeing as i've got a 16gb SD card in there. Turns out Spotify is only using the internal SD card :S totally burnt out my 8gb already! I see no option in Spotify to select where to place the offline store, anyone else in the ssame 8gb boat?

I have downloaded lots of apps, but now there seems to be a problem. When I click to download, nothing happens, and then an orange triangle appears with the words "download was unsuccessful, please try again." I have tried all of the suggestions out there, removing and replacing the battery and SIM card, turning Wifi off and back on, logging out of Google Talk (although I seem to be automatically logged back in w/out doing anything), using 2G, 3G and Wifi.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed an app yesterday, (appbrain web downloader) but couldn't get appbrain app to download, so I uninstalled the appbrain web app. Today I tried to update a couple apps, and niether would update- either I got a message that said download paused, with no way to re start, our it would just show it as downloading, but not making any progress. I tried to install another app off the market, just to see, and out wouldn't install either....

Clearing market updater
Rebooting phone
Removing battery and re starting phone
going to titanium backup and wiping market data

I thought it was a problem with my server but all of my computers can download from it, and I just went and got my mom's Droid ERIS to test. It could successfully download mp3 files from the server. This is ridiculous, why wouldn't my Droid be able to download these files but the ERIS can? Is this a case of Droid DOESN'T?
