View 2 Replies View RelatedI am overriding the functionalities of current android alarm clock. As of now, if we have set two alarm of ,say, 10:10 and 10:15, now if the first alarm pops up at 10:10, and we click on snooze button(snooze time: 10 mins), then it says that the snooze will not be set since there is already an alarm in between(the 10:15th one). Here i want to both the alarm(i.e, snoozed one and 10:15th one) to be set. Any ideas???

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen i plug my BB into the charger, it recognizes that its charging and automatically switches into "bedside mode" (changes my sound profile, displays the clock, and dims the screen way down). When I unplug my BB, it recognizes that its unplugged, switches out of bedside mode and switches back to my previous sound profile. Does android do this or is there an app that does something like it? I know it sounds lazy, but I'm just used to plugging it in, and the BB doing everything else. BTW, I really hate my BB and excited about the new Incredible.

Everything seems to work fine except on starting emulator takes forever then Message :
Application Alarm Clock (in process com.android.alarmclock) is not responding.
Tried setting clock for a time but still no go??
Figure the long emulator startup time is do to the alarm clock error.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for one where I can set many different alarms (including multiple alarms per day). I would also like quite a bit of customization (things like tone length, volume, snooze, etc). I don't mind paying, but I want to make sure I have the best before I fork over for it.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI've read through the other suggested alarm threads but didn't find a solution. In my case the screen turns on but the alarm screen does not display nor does any alarm sound or vibration happen. I do not have a task manager installed and i verified via the QuickSettings app that the alarm volume is turned up. It has been many days since I had power cycled my phone.I tried setting a new alarm a few minutes from the current time and it did not activate at all same thing: no alarm screen, no sound or vibration.I power cycled my phone and setup a new alarm. This time it worked perfectly. Is Android killing the phone app at some point to free up memory? Do I need to activate the clock app before I go to bed to make sure its running? But what if it gets killed overnight--odds aren't likely as I won't be using it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIm the developer of a fairly new app the Math Alarm Clock. A month ago I looked for alarm clock which was a challenge to turn off and didnt find any on the market so I developed this. Basically you tell it how hard you want the math (4 levels of difficulty) from (5*8) to [(17*19)- 16*12)]. It is smart enough to never give you stupid easy questions such as (73-73) or (1*10). Then choose how many in a row you must answer correctly from 1 to 6 to turn off the alarm. Specify a few math-free snoozes if you like to snooze a few times before entering math. Or turn the math off completely and use it as a regular alarm.
The other unique feature is the music alarm. Of the other alarm clocks I found one required you to change music into a ringtone and the other only allowed you to pick one song. This alarm clock allows you to choose an individual song or choose a random song from a specific artist or a random song from a specific album.
And for any Canadian Rogers Dream or Magic users you may have noticed other alarm clocks will completely crash your phone and require a factory reset. This has been fixed in the Math Alarm Clock and it should work with no problem on HTC based phones.
Lastly as the comments point out, I respond to feedback very fast and for the most part have requested features implemented within 24 hours.
The last few comments:
"This developer rocks! I requested a feature and it was added within hours. This is the best alarm clock for the G1 hands down!" 5/5
"Great app, developer is quick to update. Highly recommend!" 5/5
"Awesome app!" 5/5
"Amazing! The only alarm that actually wakes me up" 5/5
Anyone know of a way to set up an alarm clock that will be enabled only when my MT slide is plugged in? I often get up before my alarm, and it would be nice if the alarm was disabled when I unplug and re-enabled when I plug back in before bed.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm migrating over from the iPhone and one think I like about the iPhones Clock app is that it has a tab for world clocks while it also manages the alarms. I'm looking for an app (not widget) that gets the job done similarly on Android but I haven't really found one. It seems that clock apps are either clock/alarm or world clock only, not combining the functionality.

Is there a way for an App to invoke the default Alarm Clock application and receive a intent at a given time for specific functions to be activated.I understand the the AlarmManager can be used for this sort of purpose but I'm trying to leverage the complete alarmclock GUI framework that allows users to set the time of an alarm, activate/deactivate them, etc (as implemented in the default alarmclock application package and the setalarm.java file for example).
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an application that runs fine. However, if i set the alarm clock's alarm, it happens this:
1. The alarm is triggered 2. My application gets dimmed and the clock appears on top of it 3. When i close the alarm, my application CLOSES TOO
When the alarm is dismissed, my app receive the events onClose and onDestroy.
I already saw other apps that survive after the alarm is triggered.
When I wakeup in the morning, I like to check my calendar to see what the day has in store for me. Of course, I'm often too tired to check and sometimes will go half the day before I see what's on it.Is there an alarm clock app that, after hitting the dismiss button, will open up a program of your choosing?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use the alarm daily, while the phone is carried in my pocket. Before the update, everything was fine. Alarm goes off, I take the phone out of my pocket, dismiss the alarm and go on my way. After the update, I can't get the phone out of my pocket without the alarm going to snooze. Yesterday I was walking while the alarm went off, and it snoozed in two steps, I didn't even reach for it in my pocket. Today, with the phone in my hand I did the gesture for dismissing the alarm (drag down at bottom of screen), and it went to snooze. In order to dismiss the alarm, the phone has to be sitting out, and I have to touch the screen VERY carefully; anything else triggers the snooze.
This is REALLY annoying. I love my phone, but this glitch makes me want to hit it with a hammer. The way it's working, I almost can't dismiss the alarm at all. My current routine has the alarm going off every ten minutes for an hour until I can sit down and leave it out of my pocket for a while. I don't want to ditch the factory alarm app, because it used to work just fine and I like it (aside from that major bug). I fear switching to an aftermarket app may be the only solution.
I am using the factory Alarm Clock on my Inc. It works okay but if my phone is off, the alarm will not wake up the phone and sound alarm or at least the alarm going off would work for me.
On my BB Curve even if the phone was off the alarm would go off at the set time and the phone would turn on. Kinda nice, only downfall is only had 1 alarm where as Inc has a few.
With the marginal battery life on this thing I sometimes turn it off to charge when going to sleep at nite and do a few bumps in the morning. Problem is the alarm doesnt go off if the phone is off.
IF the factory phone alarm does not do this does anyone know of one that does? Perhaps in Market?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a widget that should launch the AlarmClock when its clicked. After searching for a result it seems to me that every phone can have its own AlarmClock-application, and that what I am trying to do isnt really possible? I have been using this for HTC Hero: i.setClassName("com.htc.android.worldclock", "com.htc. android. worldclock.WorldClockTabControl"); resolved = packageManager.resolveActivity(i, PackageManager .MATCH_DEFAULT_ONLY); And this if not HTC Hero: i.setClassName("com.android.alarmclock", "com.android .alarmclock.AlarmClock"); resolved = packageManager.resolveActivity(i, PackageManager. MATCH _DEFAULT _ONLY); This way I can check if the AlarmClock application is there. But now it seems that the Nexus One has yet another application. Does anyone know the component name and class for the Nexus AlarmClock? I can see that this will be a growing list of checks, so is there a better way?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI recently bought my first Android: an HTC Hero. I really like it, but there's something that doesn't quite work as expected: When I put my phone in "silent mode", and I set an alarm (Clock application) to wake me up in the morning, the alarm doesn't sound in the morning. Other cell phone alarms do trigger when the phone is in silent mode. I don't think this is such an exceptional scenario: I want my phone to be quiet all night: no calls, no SMS's, no email notifications. But I do want it to wake me up in the morning. Any ideas on how to accomplish this?
