Android :: Android Browser Able To Handle Code?

If I have this code in the iPhone Safari or Android Browser...will it be slow?

The page will have 400 of these! A list of people and their thumbnails, all different. I will use JQuery LazyLoad, so that not all images are downloaded immediately. (The images are only downloaded when the user scrolls to that portion of the site). Will the browser be able to handle it? By the way, I don't know if LazyLoad will work or not: Due to webkit bug #6656 Lazy Loading wont give you any improvements in Safari. It will load all images you wanted it or not.

I'm trying to handle the content not supported by the browser but for some reason I can't get my app to catch this intent... What do I need? Here is what the browser spits on the logcat:

The built-in barcode scanner application on Android (based, I think, on zxing) reads QR Codes and launches that data into an application based on the leading text. For example, "BEGIN:VCAL" might launch a calendar application; "http:" might launch a browser.How can I "register" my application so the OS (or the Barcode application) will call it for a specific type (i.e. leading characters) of QR Code text?

I use WebView to display some pages in my dictionary software. I met some problems with WebView.
1) could not handle the color values When I use the HTML code: <font color="#00FF00"></font> the WebView could not handle this type of tags. But <font color="red"></font> can work well.
This bug exist both in SDK1.0 & SDK1.1
2) Chinese Char: I use UTF-8 as the charset, and if there exist some Chinese chars, then this HTML code could not be displayed in WebView: <html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"></head> <body> <p><font color="red">[-------- 美国 统词典[双解] --------]</font></p> </body> </html>
This bug exists in SDK1.1.

I read here ( http://androidlittle.blogspot.com/2009/08/intent-filter-for-share-link.html ) what intent-filter is required to handle the "share link" intent that the android web browser sends.Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? My main (launcher) activity works fine, so I assume there is no issue with installation on the emulator.

How to open an URL from code in the built-in web browser rather than within my application? I tried this:

I have a swf file on the sdcard and I wrote a html file flash.html with the swf file embeded. The only way to open it now is:
1) open the browser
2) type in file:///sdcard/flash.html The swf runs fine.
But if use the code list below:
Uri uri = Uri.parse("file:///sdcard/flash.html");
Intent intent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW, uri);
startActivity(intent); It shows the error: The application has stopped unexpectly.
I also tried the following code using:
WebView: WebView browser = (WebView) findViewById(R.id.list_web);
browser.loadUrl("file:///sdcard/flash.html");
The Webview showed up, but the area should start the swf is empty. So is there a way to open the html through code? I also think if there is a way to open the android browser using ACTION_VIEW by a simple html then reset the URL to be "file:///sdcard/ flash.html" through code?

I have saved a cookie in android. Now I want to pass it into my browser intent. Look at my current code:
Intent browser = new Intent("android.intent.action.VIEW",
Uri.parse("http://mypage.php/memberpagethatrequireacookie.php"));
//putExtra cannot take these arguments -> browser.putExtra("org.apache.http.cookie.Cookie", cookie);

I want it to store temporarily in my browser so my member page loads successfully.
My cookie are successfully created from the HTTP request and I assign it to a List<Cookie> cookie;
Tell me if I should provide some more code.

I could display the box around the URL link, but if my URL link spans over more than one line, then my code shows the one rectangle on 1 line. But, in android-browser, in the same case, whole URL (still if it spans over multiple lines) gets surrounded by single large rectangle. I am not getting how this is achieved in android ?
Can anyone please give me some pointer on this ? I could not able to find out exact code for this in android-webkit code.

I am trying to build the Browser source code downloaded from the http://android.git.kernel.org/ site with android-sdk-windows-1.0_r1. I am getting a lot of compilation errors and it seems that many classes are missing in 1.0 which are being used by the Browser.
I am stuck into this and not able to figure a way out. Let me know if I am missing anything. Waiting desperately 4 a reply.

I wrote a application that load images from facebook and i show in lmageview, using this below code. InputStream object = myDataFromServer; Bitmap bmpImage= BitmapFactory. decode Stream (object);imageView. setImage Bitmap(bmpImage);it works fine for me. I'm using a mediaPlayer to play sounds in my application. I want the user to be able to adjust the volume by using the hardware buttons on the device. I tried putting this in my oncreate (setVolumeControlStream (AudioManager.STREAM_MUSIC);) but it didn't seem to work. Is there something else I have to do to allow the user to be able to adjust the volume?

I am writing an activity, that loads data from a server and displays it as a list using ArrayAdapter. For that I'm showing a progress dialog i.e loading, while it loads all data from the server. Then i dismiss the dialog in a handler. My problem is that when ever i change the orientation, the progress dialog is again shown, which is not needed, because all the data is displayed already?

However, I was disappointed with its e-mail capabilities (or lack thereof) and quickly got rid of it.Due to the nature of my work, I use several different e-mail accounts and I need to be able to access them using imap so that when I move or delete an e-mail locally, it gets updated on the server.
