Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: Phone Gets Slow Day By Day

I have a X10 mini pro. My phone seems to function very slow day by day. If I click on an app, I wud have to wait to few seconds to get it started. I tried clearing my browser history, timescape updates, kill tasks(after killing, it uses 70% of my memory which includes timescape, sync, backup, etc which use to run even after i kill the task. I shud be because I have switched my sync, backup on)... but still i get the same issue.
Does the phone memory affect the performance? I have only 48MB left. Is there any way that I can move or install my apps to my SD card(8GB)?
I also wanted to know whether my phones runs the latest software TILL DATE.

I recently swapped my own X10 for a HTC Desire for a multiutude of reasons I won't go into, but my GF kept her X10 in anticipation of the 2.1 Update. She has updated the phone now, although it did take two hours and kept failing.
Anyway, she is happyish with the phone, but I still feel guilty, as it is so terribly slow, and I recommended the phone to her in the first place.
Anyway onto my question. If anyone has a HTC Desire and an X10, they may have more insight, but basically, the X10, after the update, is really slow.
I have sat my Desire side by side with her X10, and tried to do simple tasks, like go into settings, or load media scape, or add widgets, etc, and the X10 is sometimes seconds behind the Desire. I am hoping this is due to a bad install of the update but am not sure.
Everything seems to lag, pressing settings, going into the app drawer, loading the messaging app, and it doesnt always take the same amount of time to load things either. Sometimes going into settings comes up instantly, other times it takes 5 or 6 seconds. Things just seem to hang for no reason. Even scrolling the app drawer and settings screens up and down seem laggy.
We both have launcher pro installed now too, as I find it to be an amazing launcher, but the X10 with launcher pro is again miles behind speed wise, to the point of, to me anyway, almost unnacceptable lag.
Anyway, I just wondered if anyone, hopefully with both phones too, could advise me. I dont want to advise her to do the update again if it isn't going to help. I am privately hoping it is not the limitations of the X10 that makes Android 2.1 so slow, but just a bad install, but i'm not holding my breath.

i've found that my x10 really disappointed me even after updated.. still alot of bugs! and so slow~==... that really irritates me alot... SE pls do something to improve the phone as i can see the specification of this phone is really good just that the software sucks. and this phone is not cheap at all. cost me almost like the price of an iphone

Well, the subject says it all. My Xperia X10 was running absolutely fine, then I did the update recently. At first I experience no lag or slow apps at all, but increasingly it is running slowly. Typing out text messages etc I can tell that it has slowed down dramatically.
I have tried to update it again, but it says it is up to date. I haven't been using it in a different way, just calling, texting & surfing and the occasional photo/video.

Pages are taking up to a minute to load. I normally switch to another page until it's loaded but if i want to quickly do something it's a different matter. It's been pretty slow from the start but i was just downloading apps. Now i'm using the web more it's become more obvious. Half the time i just give up! Is this due to Android 1.6 or is web browsing generally slow? Is there a faster browser than the default one or any settings that would improve the browsing experience?

I was thinking about it, and i think it is, although the Satio has 12 Mp of camera and other phones are quite good enough, The Xperia seems to have the most balanced equipement between software and hardware, in terms of software it is very unique, that is one reason why i chose the phone, no other phone in the market look this good, i mean the menu and stuff.
And it is also the first choice when you look at SE site and search for a phone Sony Ericsson Products - Mobile phones. So what do you think, it is?, and if it is, how long do you think it is gonna last ?

I got an Xperia X8 on 22nd October. The phone is very good to use. Its touch response is perfect. The speed is good. But the phone restarted the first day when I played the demo video. Within 5 days the phone has restarted for about 4 times when I was playing other videos. How to get rid of this problem?

I have the sony ericsson xperia 10 and last night I must have fallen asleep on it as not the application bar, which usually sits at the bottom, is now on the side of the phone and I cannot seem to change it! Also all my application icons have no words under them! How do I change the application bar as this is really bugging me?

I have a problem with my Xperia X10.Just now after I tried to switch it on it just doesn't work.Even when I connect it using the USB to my Laptop it is not reacting.I also tried connecting to the mains, but then the green light blinks for a splitsecond and vibrates quickly but nothing happens after that.I hope someone has a solution to this, because this seems to be the worst possible time for my phone to go mental

At work, I have my phone out on my desk in front of me. I can say that every day I see my phone reboot by itself. Sometimes it does this several times. Anyone else experience this, or have an explanation?

I am seriously thinking of buying the X10, but I need to know for sure whether it will work as a modem for my laptop. It does everything else I need, but it has to do this for me to go ahead and purchase it. Will it work as a modem with Android 1.6 and 2.1? It would be great if it could also work as a wireless hot spot, but it has to be able to do a USB tether.

I have just done a factory reset and have only set up my market and downloaded net monitor.For some reason the phone is always downloading when it is connected to wifi. I am talking about 12mb per night. I thought it was one of my apps so I did a factory reset, after the reset the phone is still downloading at a rate of about 150 kb every 5 min. what is this should I be worried?I've also noticed If I am connected to 3g instead of wifi it downloads much less, maybe 50kb per night.

I was sitting at my work desk and my phone restarted itself out of nowhere. No updating was done, I was at 55% battery and it wasn't even touched. I was at my desk for about 30 minutes straight, it's laying face up and I saw the phone restart.

I Use Sony Ericsson X10 is block because of too many pattern attempt which is the security to unlock the screen, the phone is asking for a Google account which i don't have because i did not register with Google.
