Nov 4, 2010Last time I updated my phone, some apps were added to my phone. tried the application manager but there's no uninstall for these apps. so how do I get removed?

Nov 13, 2010Is there any way to remove preinstalled apps? I have several that came with the phone.e.g.the sims demo, uno trial, and so on. The thing is i can't remove them from the phone.Apps that i've installed myself are no problem at all to remove but these that came with the phone just won't be deleted.If i can't delete them can i just hide the icons somehow? thay just take up space in the phone.

Oct 30, 2010I have a mini pro...i had issues earlier as i didnt have an active data connection on my mini pro..but nw as i have it...not one inbuilt app is working! Facebook,gmail,gtalk,android market,youtube etc. dont work at all..Each of them gives an error that you dont have an active connection! All of the above does open via the normal browser on mini pro..but not through these builtin apps!

The screen is already full of scratches (even with careful use), some are smaller, some are larger.Do you guys happen to have any suggestions on what products would be best (and in any case, not make things any worse) to polish the screen? Some products which can be found from Amazon or eBay would be great.I'm thinking of buying an invisibleSHIELD for the phone, but I'd like to have a scratch-free screen underneath it.Thanks Sony Ericsson for misguiding the customers with specifications promising a scratch resistant screen, while it obviously is just some soft plastic.

Sep 16, 2010My question is: how do we get that little SD card out of the mini-pro? Is there an eject button or some trick to getting it popped out? I can't find anything in the the manuals or by Googling. There's info about inserting the SD card, but not about removing them. I looked at pics and checked out the phone with the cover off, but can't figure it out. It must be easy and right under my nose, but I'm missing it. I know there's a card in there because settings recognizes it.

Nov 30, 2010I rooted my phone a few days ago to remove all the useless apps that the phone comes with. I basically got ride of a code reader, some stupid games, and a bunch of "trial version" applications. I just noticed now that I can't download apps from the Android Market anymore, and this is probably what caused it. Everything else on my phone still works perfectly. When I try to download an app from the Android Market, I select the app to be downloaded, press "Install", then press "OK" when it gives me the list of what the app has access to. Once I press "OK" a popup appears that says "Your Item Will be Downloaded". That's it. Nothing appears in the notification bar, and the download doesn't go at all. So I guess my question is. what would I have deleted to cause this problem? I unrooted my phone again since. Maybe a google app or something? And if so, I need the APK for it! Yeah, yeah I was an idiot, I know. Don't mention it. Here's what I've tried so far after searching this issue: - Cleared the cache and updates for all Google-related apps

I've tried the "Force Off" function under Apps Settings, but still the Battery-use screen shows the radio as running. Nov 18, 2010I created a gmail account when I got this phone purely because it asked me to (usually I use hotmail), then started a new job, where my boss said she uses gmail to communicate. Everytime I checked my gmail on the phone it woudn't tell me MY email address, (because, I shoulda known it) but I couldn't remember what it was, so I made a new gmail account, and started using it at work. I didn't want to have two accounts so when I found out what the original account was (in the phone). I went online on my computer and deleted the account, intending to replace it with the newer one. However since deleting the old email account, I can no longer update any apps, or buy any new apps. It continously asks for the old gmail's password, but won't accept it when I've entered it.

Nov 13, 2010Checking out media players, I downloaded Zimly and Mixzing (thanks suze!) to compare. Both installed instantly but only Zimly appeared as an icon on the home screen. When I go to Settings>Applications>Manage applications they are both listed as installed, however I need to have Mixzing drop its icon for me to be able to use it from reviews etc I actually think that's the one I'll be keeping anyway, a clear case of sod's Law that of the two that one would be the one with a problem! I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice, same result.

Nov 19, 2010Got a brand new phone yesterday. Upgraded it to Android 2.1 before using it. In general, phone is functioning properly, however none of the applications (i.e. YouTube, Gmail, Maps) will work over the 3G connection, but the Web Browser does function ok. The apps will work over WiFi (which isn't much use if you're trying to use maps or gmail on the go). I have tried restarting phone (battery out restart). It is not a signal strength issue, I am getting HSPA with full bars and it still times out with "no connection detected" (or variations thereof, depending on the actual application). I can work around this using the web browser based clients for these apps, but as they aren't streamlined they are a PITA to use.

Nov 15, 2010I received my new x10 mini phone a few days ago and am really impressed by it.
But...
After the phone has been off, the camera works fine the first time I start it.
And if I close the camera application and start it again straight away it also works fine.
But if I wait for maybe half an hour or more and then open the camera application, the phone reboots itself.
This is very repeatable and it looks like there's something wrong in the software or so.

Oct 24, 2010Have owned an xperia mini pro for about 2 weeks now. It has a problem that every few days or so the screen locks up and becomes unresponsive and the only way to reset it is to do a battery pull. My question basically is should I take it back to the shop, or is it likely to need to have android reinstalled or something?
It did this on the very first startup after unboxing, it froze up when choosing the language setting, so obviously it is unrelated to any other apps i have installed. At the time I didnt think it was too much of a problem but then as I say, it started doing it every few days.
