Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: Phone Restarts Itself For No Apparent Reason

Lately, I have been bugged with the above mentioned issue. Occasionally, my phone will restart itself for no apparent reason. It occurs in quite a random manner. The only thing that i did lately to the phone is to upgrade the firmware to R2BA020. At first I thought the installation was not done correctly so I repaired it using PC Companion but still the matter persists. Have anyone faced similar issue or know how to solve it as its becoming rather irritating.

After I had problem with earplugs like others (which still isn't solved, it's just less annoying with some headset widget I found on this forum) now my phone restarts by itself. I mean, it's like it was turned off and I turn it on. It play Samsung song and I need to enter the pin. I don't think it's battery stuff, cause the it would just shut down, or maybe I'm wrong. Have official firmware, I didn't change anything, it's like from the store.

Why is the CPU set so low on the X10a? I ran Quadrant Standard and get a 471 reading. Anyone else run this benchmarking app? I have SetCPU but it doesn't seem to list the X10a as a device.

The x10 overheats when in usage and restarts. After long periods of usage the battery temperature can easily reach way above 45*CIn the manual is says that temperatures above 45*C are not good. This is clearly another major design flaw within the x10.

Since last 4-5 days, I am seeing that whenever I connect my phone to my laptop (using usb), the phone restart and during this time I will have access to memory card for few seconds (30 sec), after that the card gets unmounted (from PC) and I will see a warning symbol (yellow triangle) on phone's notification bar. So i am unable to copy data to and fro from my phone. All this trouble started since I upgraded to 2.1 Note: I have checked the memory card by putting it to another phone and it works fine.

I wonder if someone has the same problem on X10. If you press sub menu button, then press Add, then Shortucts, then Applications and you will see Camera icon for shortcut. When I make the shortuct, it appears of course on the display. When I press the CAMERA ICON, the phone just restarts it self?
And how to solve this? I did the Android update, but it said the update is not necessary. I also reseted the phone but still same problem appears. Second problem: I connected to WiFi, immediately and everything was ok. The next day I tried and I Could never connect again to any WiFi connection?

i have a brand-new x10 mini that appears to be stuck in a loop. it boots up fine until i get the "data traffic enabled" message in the notification bar and then the phone freezes. sometimes the time continues to update normally but the phone is completely unresponsive, sometimes the phone restarts itself. if i press the power button and the centre button, the phone reboots but gets stuck in the same cycle. i have installed the companion software and the phone is detected but cannot connect i have also tried another 02 sim (the phone is locked to o2) without success.

IM A DIE HARD FAN OF SONY PRODUCTS & USING SONY MOBILES FOR PAST 6 YEARS. My 1st mobile was 610T then 910i then 990i & then X1. Nw i got new X10 on 26th april2010 bt nw facing problems with it since 30/06/10. Its not starting up. It turns off & restarts by itself,had given it to the sonyericsson service centre on 30th June'10 at Jaipur (Raj). But till nw they hv not been able to resolve the issue. SO IM BACK TO MY X1 NW.

Just recently, my captivate battery has been draining very fast. I've been going from 100% to 0 in about 8-12 hours. The main battery consumer is Android System. There are no processes that are keeping the phone on according to BatterBatteryStats. I loose about 7-8 percent every hour while it is in idle/deep sleep. If I enable the extreme setting on Juice Defender, it bumps up the battery life to about 45+ hours. But if I use juice defender, sending and receiving mms is very difficult. I tried it on another spare battery and it gave me the same results. This problem started earlier this week and was present when I first flashed a ICS rom back in June and hasn't gone away yet. I did not change any settings or flash anything new to my phone. One day it suddenly went from 100% to 40% in 5 hours and after I rebooted it dropped to 5% in a matter of minutes. I recalibrated the battery but that did not do anything.

I rooted my droid, and am currently running smoked glass 6. Twice I have noticed my phone heating up (120 F was the most before I pulled the battery) for no apparent reason. I open up auto-killer, kill extra processes, and no difference. No application can be causing this, yet my phone will heat up for no reason. It is not all the time, but I fear it could become a regular thing.

I was thinking about it, and i think it is, although the Satio has 12 Mp of camera and other phones are quite good enough, The Xperia seems to have the most balanced equipement between software and hardware, in terms of software it is very unique, that is one reason why i chose the phone, no other phone in the market look this good, i mean the menu and stuff.
And it is also the first choice when you look at SE site and search for a phone Sony Ericsson Products - Mobile phones. So what do you think, it is?, and if it is, how long do you think it is gonna last ?

I got an Xperia X8 on 22nd October. The phone is very good to use. Its touch response is perfect. The speed is good. But the phone restarted the first day when I played the demo video. I have the sony ericsson xperia 10 and last night I must have fallen asleep on it as not the application bar, which usually sits at the bottom, is now on the side of the phone and I cannot seem to change it! I have a problem with my Xperia X10.Just now after I tried to switch it on it just doesn't work.Even when I connect it using the USB to my Laptop it is not reacting.I also tried connecting to the mains, but then the green light blinks for a splitsecond and vibrates quickly but nothing happens after that.I hope someone has a solution to this, because this seems to be the worst possible time for my phone to go mental

I am seriously thinking of buying the X10, but I need to know for sure whether it will work as a modem for my laptop. It does everything else I need, but it has to do this for me to go ahead and purchase it. Will it work as a modem with Android 1.6 and 2.1? It would be great if it could also work as a wireless hot spot, but it has to be able to do a USB tether.
