Feb 3, 2010I have a questions guys, for work i'm allowed to make voice calls but i am not able to use any data transmissions (internet, texts, etc.). I have a lot of stuff on autosync and i know i can turn that off using the power control widget but it seems that doesnt stop ALL data from transferring. Is there an app or a way i can turn off All DATA while still keeping voice calling as an option?

Jan 17, 2010My Gmail account works great, and I have my aol and yahoo acounts set up no problem (well the yahoo was a little problem but got it to work so thats all that matters). I have 2 other email accounts that no matter what I do I can not get them to work. One is my works email which is handled by a company called network solutions. I can get the incoming server setup fine but I can not get the outgoing to work. The other is my school email which is some sort of msn email account variation (username@email.itt-tech.edu which i log into through msn.com). I cant get anything to work for this accuont.

I am not a developer. I am trying to learn Java, Eclipse, Android SDK, Linux, and AnyCut. I am obviously lost regarding where to start in order to design and develop apps for Android.
I hope this post will become a tutorial with tips and tricks for designing shortcuts using AnyCut's "Make Your Own" option. The "Activity" option will allow most shortcuts but I want a better understanding of what to add to the Action, Data, and Type fields to design shortcuts that successfully navigate android OS.
Please add examples of Make Your Own shortcuts you have created.
Android :: BetterCut - AnyCut And Phone Contacts
Apr 28, 2010Not sure if this is a Desire problem, an HTC Sense problem or a Better/AnyCut problem but has anyone been able to make a direct icon to call or text a phone contact with either App?
I don't sync contacts or calendar to Google but use HTC Sync to sync with my desktop Outlook. It all works well, but of course it means I have no Google contacts on my handset, only phone contacts. Seems that Better/AnyCut can't see these.

Jul 30, 2010I have a Sprint Hero and I'm trying to add a shortcut to call the person I call the most. I found AnyCut, but it's not working. I open the app, hit "Direct Call" and then it simply says "No Matches Found."
How do I select a contact? Am I doing something wrong?
Are there any other free apps that I can use to create a shortcut (that I can rename and create a custom icon)?

My andi his device has same settings adn same firmware version and kernel version. I copied his device setting with QPST and write to mine but there is no result. all setting in ##3282# same but no internet. Voice calls is ok. cannot refer to tech support because to long distance. How to setup my SCH-R760 to connect internet?

Oct 15, 2010Droid X newbie but not new to Android. I've had a Droid for a year (almost) and my work phone just got upgraded form a bb to an X. I'm having trouble with the stock email program being able to send email fro my personal account. I use pair networks for my email hosting. I am able to set up the account to work fine on K9 mail, but not the stock email program. My corporate exchange email doesn't like K9 mail for some reason, so I don't want to use that for personal email if I have to. I notice on K9 mail, there's an option to check to not login for outgoing mail, but on the stock email program, it always asks for user name and pw in the outgoing settings. I have tried leaving them blank, but to no avail.
