Motorola Droid :: How Can I Hook Up To Laptops Webcam?
May 30, 2010our puppy is now getting old enough to start getting in trouble when away and he's now left for longer periods of time. We have both the in-laptop webcam and an external webcam to hook up to the laptop. I'm wondering if there's a way i could turn the webcam on when we leave in a spot where we could watch most of the space he's in and view it from my droid while away. any idea how i could do something like that?

Oct 1, 2009If I have an EditText component on my screen that I have specified inputType="decimal" for (i.e. a numeric/decimal field), what is the best way to convert it to an decimal value in the application code?
Google recommends avoiding floats, and avoiding creating objects unnecessarily (and I assume any auto-unboxing code is bad too), so I take these as my constraints. I realize a small application probably doesn't need to worry too much, but I haven't been able to find a 'best-practice' solution to this.
The most common solution appears to be this:

Sep 7, 2010I know it is possible to develop a full flex application using AIR for android but what I need is to embed a flex component into an already existing classic Java android application.
I found some flash players in java but they all either require a JFrame or include of specific windows dlls.
Is it even possible ? I found no info on the net about this

When i got my deck installed last year, they already ran a usb cable to the back of it but the connecting piece is way too big for the evo.
