So live wallpapers have been on the droid for a little while now, how often do you guys have them running on your phone? I personally always am using it, but I actually didn't use them today and I noticed a big performance increase.. wow. But I love the look of them so I guess they're staying!

Can anyone comment on how the live wallpapers work on the D2. I have the D1 and I don't use them because it makes the home screen laggy. Just wondering if the "faster" D2 has that same issue.

View 49 Replies View RelatedMy 2.1 update got pushed through this morning and I immediately set a Live Wallpaper on my desktop. I have found that the wallpeprs don't "stick" when I turn the screen off and then turn it back on, it defaults back to the wallpaper I had set prior to changing it to the Live Wallpaper, or the screen just has a black background. At first I thought it maybe Live Wallpaper was conflicting with my Locale app, so I disabled it, but it's still doing it after.

Of course this requires root, and as such, please keep all discussion on how to get it running in the following thread: http://androidforums.com/all-things-root-droid/46759-release-live-wallpapers-2-0-1-a.html However, I'm posting this in the common area so that more people can see it. Also, I want to point out that these do run very smoothly, even at stock clock speeds. So, I don't know why Motorola wouldn't include this in our OTA update. It's certainly not for hardware reasons. Anyways.

So I downloaded a couple different colors of the Nexus style Live wallpapers, and I want to install them with the Cyanogen 5.0.5 i am running. Is there a certain way to do this or is it as simple as putting the files on the sd card and extracting the .zip?
