So I've recently transferred from iPhone to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and one of the first things that I noticed was the fact that whenever I press the button on my headphones to either change tracks or just pause the song, the time taken for it to do so is at least 5 seconds, once it took 20 seconds just to pause! I've been using spotify to listen to my music by the way.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am using a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 SPH-L900 that currently has software 4.1.2. I've recently been trying to finally update to 4.3 and it seems my phone is stuck on an old update. It's 28.5MB and it'll show there's an update, I'll download it, it'll say it was successful. I'll then tell it to restart & install, what happens next is it looks like it just does a simply restart. It shuts off, shows the Samsung startup screen, and then I'm back to my homepage. Because of this, I can't update the phone any further. I tried going a Hard Reset (holding vol up, home, then power) and delete data/formating drive and that didn't fix it. I also tried going to the All Applications -> Google Services Framework -> Clear Cache -> Stop Service and what this does it brings up the same page for the 28.5MB download and it does the same thing it's always done.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a Samsung Galaxy s4 mini and have realized that my contacts seem to appear on the screen very slow. It sometimes takes upto 2 minutes to appear. Some thing you all should know is that I have 2000+ contacts (mainly clients).
At first I was using google contacts and i assumed this was causing it to lag due to using data to refresh... but I transferred all the contacts to the device itself... so it shouldn't lag anymore!
When people even call... there name doesnt appear, and only the phone number shows, even though I have the number installed in my contacts. This is also the case with text messages. When I want to compose a new text, and search for a contact... it doesnt do anything for about a minute or two.
I have opened the developer mode, and changed the animations to off, but this hasnt solved the problem.
I have had my Note 2 since last spring, I noticed in September that when using my original charge cord (plugged to wall) it would only charge when held in certain angles and very slow, I couldn't use while charging as it would drain it. I tried using my boyfriends nexus charger and that seemed to work. It was still slow but at least I didn't have to be constantly moved to certain angles (still discharged if used while on charger though).
If I plug my phone in at night (let's say at 14% battery life) by morning, over 8 hrs later, it's only at 60 % and then drains completely in 4-5 hours, while I'm at work and not even using it, if I'm using it it goes down 2% a minute.
This is getting so frustrating, I have no clue what's wrong. I've done a factory reset and nothing changed. If I use a universal docking station my phone actually charges very quick, at a normal speed. I'm not sure if it's the battery, usb port, or charger!
I have upgraded my Galaxy Grand Duos I-9082 from Jelly bean 4.1.2 to 4.2.2 and the phone hangs randomly. on 4.1.2 it was working truly commendable.
View 24 Replies View Relatedso i have factory reseted my phone twice and used wakelock and i cant find a solution. looked through forums and found possible answers but all failed. i press the lock button on the right side then after about two seconds it turns right back on. when it sleeps again it turns right back on .. i have not found a solution to it. i have the 4.3 jellybean on it. the only solution that sometimes works is a lock screen app that i downloaded from the play store. but it really sucks when i get a message the screen turns on right then after it goes off then turns right back on .. so if i miss any notification it drains my battery because my phone wont stay off.

My Screen write takes own screen shot when I press it and doesn't allow me to write and it's not like the other Note 3. Instead of Pen Window it shows S Calender . When I click on the Scrap book it opens my recent apps window. Why my one is different?

I have used my Galaxy Note 2 together with an All-Share dongle showing screen mirroring with projector. This has been working perfectly for months but when I got N2 updated to Android 4.3 the screen mirroring gets connected but immediately disconnects.

I tried Viber and Tango, Both doesn't open multi window or support any. I know it can't be open two of them on the same window but it should be open with other apps on the same window on Galaxy Note 3. Some other apps like Chaton, Youtube can be open two windows on the same screen ( it has two split windows so you can watch two different youtube on the one window. For example, you can open two differnt snow boarders on one window and compare them. It is awesome.). Multi window mode works with other apps fine.
I have a problem every time I want to install an app. I can download it no problem but when I try to install it the message Error 110 appears all the time. I've done a reset but to no avail. Galaxy Tab 3

I just did the update for the Note 3 and it changed my Samsung keyboard to a black background with white letter when prior to this update it was a light grey color background with black letters. Also is there a way to change it back?

But lately now I have a serious problem. I have Verizon Fios at home and whenever I try to connect my Wireless tablet to it It lags, it slows down, many times the connection comes up for a couple of seconds, then connection drops. I told Verizon about and they are going to send me a new router. it is a software connection issue with the Samsung Tablet? On my computer, I am getting 7 mbps download speed and 6 mbps when I am supposed to be getting 50 Mbps on my comupter.

After activating the phone, it displayed the correct date and time for my time zone, so I didn't mess around with settings to reset the time, as I would with any other device.
However, I've noticed that the time changes to exactly an hour ahead, before changing itself back several minutes later.
I went to settings > date and time, but 24 hour time and selecting a date format are the only options listed.
I prefer to leave mobile data off when I am at home and can use the wi-fi. Is it necessary to have mobile data turned on, so the phone can receive the time from a cell tower, or is there a way I can set an internal clock?
I just researched about some features and found out that the s3 has a double tap on top to scroll a list all the way back to the top. my s4 doesn't have this feature? or does it?because I cant seem to find it? I know the s4 has 3 sensors on top, the rgb light, the proximity, and the air gesture on, how come the galaxy note 3 only has 2? and does the s3 have similar sensors or completely different ones?

how to get the Samsung keyboard to be the same on both phones. All settings are the same. the new phone's keyboard doesn't have the small punctuation symbols on the letter keys (like the old phone does). I know this may seem like a bit of a ridiculous thing to have an issue with, but I'm kind of... particular... with the way my phone looks and is set up. That, and I find it to be annoying to have to go to the Symbols section of the keyboard to use any form of punctuation.
I own a Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100, when i bought it (2nd hand) it was running on 4.1.2 version, now I updated it to 4.3 with Cyanogenmode, but I don't like that it doesn't have the original look... need clean 4.3 ROM and a good guide to install it? I don't want any other signatures....
