HTC Incredible :: Verizon App Store But Dont Want To Change My Rom
Nov 7, 2010I have the frankenrom b6. Been happy with it ever since I got it and havent felt to need to change from the ROM. I know there is an update coming out tomorrow with some Verizon bloatware. I don't really care about the other stuff but the Vcast app store because I want to see if they offer any decent apps that aren't on the Android Market place. Is there a way to get it without changing ROM, unrooting or changing radio?

Android : Way To Change Signature For Camera.setPreviewDisplay In 1.5?
Apr 15, 2009Camera.setPreviewDisplay() now throws an IOException. Is there a reason this had to be a checked exception (looking at the source code I can't an see an immediate one)? Or is it just an oversight that will be fixed before releasing the final SDK? The consequence is that one cannot have code that will compile for both 1.1 and 1.5 without doing something ugly like adding a blanket try/catch.

Sep 7, 2010I LOVE the K9 email app...but I would like to use the "different signatures for different accounts" feature. When I go into the "Message Composition Options" screen, I can edit the sig as much as I like, but there is no "Save Changes" button or option menu key just gives me the "No, you can't use this" haptic buzz. The Home key takes me back to my home screen.The back key takes me back to the general Account Settings screen - and discards my changes.

Currently there is a lot of code duplication, making maintenance a nightmare: do the changes in one of the branches, and then merge the other two.So we create a library project, named app-core, that factors out most of the duplicated code. So far so good.When I launch this into an emulator where the application was already loaded (before the refactoring), I get this exception:Re-installation failed due to different application signatures.A different signature? But I just added a line in the .classpath to link to the app-core Java project!

Jun 15, 2010No matter what I do, how slow or fast I hit enter for the adb push payload-update.zip /sdcard/update/zip my phone gives me the signature verification falied installation aborted message.I don't understand how some of you are saying that you can hit it "too fast" - it gives me this message in well under a second after I hit the power button to apply the sdcard.update.zip.Any ideas? I don't want to reboot my phone out of fear that I can't get back into recovery mode!

Jul 16, 2010So i just got off the phone with a customer service rep from Verizon and was telling them about my issues because i'm on my 3rd replacement phone, and the 3rd one that just got sent out today is even worser then the ones i had to have replace, i told the rep that i wanted a new model phone, and all they could tell me was that well we'll have to just replace it with the same model, and if you're wanting to get a new model phone you would have to pay for it.How are some of you members getting the Moto Droid without any charges?? Do you guys just get nice reps? Because the rep i got was just a D*ck he wouldn't listen to what i was trying to say and kept cutting me off.

Apr 28, 2010I ordered my Incredible today, online and received my shipment notice within an hour. I noticed on the shipment notification that FedEx requires a signature upon delivery. I'm not too familiar with FedEx so i was wondering if anyone has had experience with this. I will not be home so i was wondering if i can leave a note for the FedEx person to leave the package on my doorstep or if they'll leave a note saying they were there and will try again the next day. (Like UPS) Another day won't kill me, but i'd like to charge it and play with it tomorrow when i WILL be home.

Aug 28, 2010We'll this is a deal breaker for me, after being pretty happy with the RUU update and the speed improvement it brought to the stock music player.When using the turn by turn navigation, every time the voice comes in the player puts itself on pause.After the instruction is over it remains paused instead of resuming.Then I have to manually hit play again to resume playback.This is a big deal while driving since I don't want to be fidgeting with my phone every couple seconds.This was not an issue with 2.1 , since as soon as the turn by turn instruction was gone the music would automatically resume.

I'm shocked that I can't find any information at all about this on XDA or here.Does this happen to anyone else who uses Virtuous Rom 3.1? I tried to contact RMK via XDA PM but he hasn't responded yet, sent last night. I would really like a fix for this, Google maps navigation is fantastic.

Nov 10, 2009For some strange reason I can't seem to set-up my personal e-mail account on this Droid phone. I click on "e-mail", I type in my e-mail address and my password, and then I click "next". And then I get a message that says my username and/or password does not match. But I am positive it does, as I have gone online to test it. I have tried retyping my username and passwrod over and over again without any success. I can't get passed that screen.
I have Verizon FiOS at my house, so my e-mail is set-up through Verizon/Yahoo.
