View 1 RepliesSo, I was sitting here, and adding music to my library with google play music.. Now... I think the big GMan might have overlooked something. I had around 200 songs uploaded from my computer to Play. Now, I got the trial of All Access, and ive been adding a bit of music with the search and add feature.. So then i thought.. Maybe this is a free way to get audio files. I went to the "Music Manager" application on my computer, and i hit "download my library" and its now downloading all 291 songs, allowing transfer to any device (Like an iPod) 91 of which, keep in mind, I had added via the search feature from the Play Music app on my phone. So, is this a glitch overlooked by Google? Or is it intended to be this way?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIve copied a few albums in individual folders to the mp3 folder of my g2 touch, when i go to the music app it shows all the songs, id like it to show them in folders for each album so I can select an album.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a trick to get it to fully close when you are done listening to songs?
I downloaded the Advanced App Killer to close that when I'm done listening to songs. I like having the widget, but maybe there's another app out there (with a widget) that can be used in place of the preloaded one, that will actually STOP, instead of just pause?
Pandora does it too, but I think there is a setting that shuts it off after a certain amount of time being paused...
Coming from a Iphone to the X the music player is a little lacking. Often I will go into a certain artist and want to play all the songs by that artist, or thumb through all their songs to find a certain one. On the stock music player on the X this seems hard to do (maybe I'm missing something).
if I pull up the music by artist and select a certain artist then it shows me all their albums (The iphone has the option at this point to select all albums and see all the songs of that artist in alphabetical order). The X doesn't give a option to select all albums at this point. If I go to artists and long press on a certain artist I can select play and it will start playing all that artists songs, then I can hit pause and go into the list from that point to see all the songs but they seem to be in a random order making it hard to find a specific song.
I've tried a couple other players and haven't been able to find one that functions like the Iphone, makes it hard to quickly find one song.
I need a alarm clock app that will play music,, something a bit more motivational than beeping or chirping..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got a free HTC Magic at the Google I/O conference and am liking it so far. I'm trying to set it up as a day-to-day replacement for my iPod, and right now I'm using BeyondPod for podcasts and have tried several different music players. My plan was to keep the two separate - Podcast software for podcasts and a music player for music. There's just one problem that is driving me nuts: I can't figure out how to keep "non-music" MP3s (namely, podcasts) out of the music library. The music players all seem to scan for every audio file on my SD card, and can't be forced to use just the Music folder. So I end up with a music library littered with podcasts.
I'd put them in separate playlists, but the files are constantly changing, and it wouldn't be worth trying to keep up with them. Am I missing something? I've googled the heck out of this and can't seem to find anyone else who's bothered by this. Is there any way to have a music player only play files from a certain folder?
Is there a way to shuffle the order of the songs in the music app. I don't want to play the standard list on "shuffle". I like to do this so that I can pick the order of songs but I don't want them in alphabetical order while I do it because its the same artist back to back all the time.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHave a problem music player on this phone. It only loads 100 songs. I have 180.
View 3 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know how to purposely change your app names? Is it even possible? i.e, " better alarm clock " to just alarm..
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe playlist names can be found by a query on MediaStore.Audio.Playlists.EXTERNAL_CONTENT_URI
and then look at the MediaStore.Audio.PlaylistsColumns.NAME column. There is a data column too, MediaStore.Audio.PlaylistsColumns._DATA, but it is returning null. The list of songs (MediaStore.Audio.Media.EXTERNAL_CONTENT_URI/id) do not seem to show any playlist affiliation.
I have tried many programs and aps to sync music to my incredible. I have used doubletwist, mediamonkey, sailing media sync, itunes agent, itunes export, isyncr, and songbird. From my experience, mediamonkey works the best and gets the job done better than the rest. My problem though is that when I sync playlists to the sd card, the program transfers all of the songs, but the last 20 or so songs won't play on the phone. It's almost as if the transfer didn't finish. Is anybody else having this problem or know of a fix?

View 5 Replies View RelatedIn the music app that came pre-installed, I keep using the trim song feature to create a ringtone, I hit apply, it confirms it's set, but then doesn't set the new ringtone -- I still have the default ringtone. I searched around for the trimmed version of the songs, and they're nowhere to be found either. I've tried it multiple times. I can only seem to set the entire song as a ringtone. Any idea what gives? Or where on the internal storage or SD card it supposedly saves these trimmed versions so I can find them myself?
View 3 Replies View RelatedHave been using the HTC and Android music players on the Desire, both pretty decent and do the job. However when listening to a mixed album where the songs - despite being separate files - mix into each other, there's a small gap/delay as it stops playing one song and starts the other. The Android player's gap is shorter than the HTC version (which is a shame as I like the HTC's widget), but there's still a gap. Is there anything I can do to either widget so that there's no small delay? Or alternatively is there a music player out there that will play the songs with no gap?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI hope this hasn't been answered anywhere else (I did search! I promise). Is anyone experiencing very slow load times when clicking to show Artists or Songs in the default music player? I have about 1800 songs, and when I click on either Artist, Album, or Song, it takes like 10 seconds to think about it and then finally pulls them up. They are stored on my 16GB SDHC card (Class 4). Any ideas or is it something I'll have to live with?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI like to put it on random and I have like 1600 songs. It plays a lot of songs more than once, does it not remember what it has played and what it has not? Very annoying to hear the same song again when I have so many. Another thing is when I have it on shuffle if it is playing for example a Eminem song, All it wants to play is Eminem songs for the next ten tracks or so until I keep skipping.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am new to the Droid OS - just got my Incredible last week. I've been playing around with it and got some of my songs on the micro SD card. I would like to select a bunch of them and move them to a playlist. Other than manually selecting them one at a time, is there a faster way to group select them and move them to a playlist?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to upload just 1 or 2 songs to the Google Music app? Also I am debating to whether or not to just delete everything on my Google Play list and then just reupload my whole iTunes Library so it mimicks that?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI have the Samsung Moment, and I've run into this problem with both the default Music app as well as MixZing. Haven't tried any others yet, though.
So, everything but about 3 (out of a few hundred, haha) songs is tagged properly and shows up under artist as one expects, sorts into the correct albums and all - but within albums the songs go alphabetically, rather than by track number.
Does anyone know how to make my songs actually show up in the correct album order instead of just alphabetical order? Kind of messes things up if you're trying to listen to a musical.
Does anyone else notice that when you shuffle songs on the droid music player...the same artists alternate. it really isn't a good shuffle. The player will play one artist, then another, then the 1st, then the 2nd.
View 3 Replies View RelatedNot sure who's using "3" by rockon, but I've just downloaded it lastnight to test it out and for some reason a few of my songs which were downloaded by limewire don't show up in the list of songs. does it have to do with the way they're saved in the music folder? because the songs that have their own folder in my music folder come up great but ones that i've ripped off cds or downloaded as one offs on limewire don't seem to show up in the list of songs available? If you do'nt get what i mean heres a visual.. all the songs with thier own folders can be found on the "3" app but the ones below that don't have a folder don't show up. Is there something i need to do with them? rename them in teh properties or something?

I know my BBerry would advance songs by holding the "up" volume toggle for a few seconds but that doesnt seem to work. There has got to be a way that doesnt involve me unlocking my phone each time i dislike the song!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI uploaded 100 songs to my SD card from my PC. When I opened the music player app in the phone, it shows all 100 songs. So I opened up the songs list, picked a song and it played just fine. After the song I hit the forward button to play the next song (next song of the 100 that I had on there) and it played the same song again. So upon looking at the music player it now showed "1/1" at the top, instead of "1/100". It's like it's locked on that 1 song. If I go into the menu I can see all my songs, and I can choose/play them individually, but I can't have all 100 songs chosen, so that they'll just play one after the other. How do I make the music player show all 100 songs again? I just want to open up the music player, hit play, and sit back & enjoy the next 100 songs playing one after the other. I don't want to have to select each one individually to play. (Hopefully this wasn't too confusing).
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've bought a Milestone and after the first contact with him, copied some musics to a folder on SD card. The problem is: some songs does not appear on the player. Some musics do, some musics does not. I tried several players (Meridian, RockOn, TuneWiki) to see if this was an issue with the default player, but all of them showed the same problemI also thought that this could be a problem with the ID tags of the MP3 files that didn't show, so i checked every one with a MP3 tag editor and fixed some, but to no avail: the files still doesn't show on the list.Just one more detail: if I go to a file manager and "execute" the MP3 file, the music plays just correctly.Dows anyone has experienced some behavior like this, or I'm doing something wrong? Is there a way to add all files on a folder to a playlist without going one by one on a file manager?
