Ive searched but I cant find it...I was using Sense UI and Slide Screen as my home replacements but i clicked on that thing that makes slide screen my main one and i cant switch from slidescreen to sense now.
how do i go back to sense without removing slidescreen

I've found this great home replacement app called launcherpro that is wayyy faster and smoother than the sense home. I currently have this set as my default home, so I just pull up taskiller to kill off sense and free up some memory. Even though I kill sense off with taskiller I see that sense has started back up every once and awhile and was wondering both why it starts back up and whether there is a way to stop it from doing so? Also, will killing sense like this lead to any problems down the road?

This is referring to the homescreen and the default home is what the defualt android home screen looks like and HTC sence is what i need. I clicked on the Defualt home and now my home screen looks different. How do i get that option to pop up again so I can choose HTC sence?
This is an issue I've been having. I can be in any of a number of apps, and when I hit 'home' or back out of it, 20% of the time I get the white HTC evo screen and then it will redraw as if i had rebooted.I'm currently backing up in anticipating of doing a factory reset to see if that helps, but would love to avoid the hassle if I can figure out whats causing this beforehand.
View 19 Replies View RelatedWhen i use Home Switcher to switch homes (htc Sense and Launcher Pro) when i go to the app and click use sense as default when i press the home key it still goes back to launcher pro..so when i use sense i need to try to not press home which is annoying! Also i have hand cent sms and i get a double notification. for some reason when i go to messages>menu>settings n go to unchecked received notifications i still for some reason get notifications from the stock. I even went to make sure its unchecked and it is!

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I'm running android 2.1 on my Sprint Hero, but I want to disable the Sense UI so I can run the Android OS default home (just to check it out). Most of the things I've read online say to do the following...
1)settings
2)applications
3)manage applications
4)HTC Sense
5) Clear default
The only problem is, there is no default to clear. I can't even click on it and force close does not work.
When using a home replacment like Helix, Home++, etc. does the android home still run in the background and reduce performance? I had a lot of stuff on my stock home but just switched to Helix so how do i stop/disable stock home if it is running?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been working on a replacement for the stock Car Home app for a bit, and I am completely stumped on how to override the Home button so that my app will be brought back to the foreground whenever the phone is docked. This is the way that Car Home works, so there must be a way. It seems that BroadcastReceivers won't work, because the intent that is broadcast whenever the Home button is pressed will still cause the default homescreen app to launch; I cannot prevent it. I can override the Home button from within my app, but that does me no good since this needs to work when the user is outside my app. Car Home also does not do anything weird like set itself as the default homescreen app while it's running (I checked the logcat to make sure).
I've been really beating my head against the wall on this. Does anyone have any ideas, or can you at least point me in the right direction?
Just downloaded this from the android market...new app is great...great interface...Has reflective type menu on the bottom that you can slde across to view different shortcuts, cannot customize menu yet but im sure it will be available in next update.
View 49 Replies View RelatedIs there a good replacement for the HTC Sense UI lockscreen? I have found a few other good ones, but they close when I hit the Home Button. I find this annoying, and I still want to use the standard Sense UI. I'd use something like the regular Homescreen, but then I'll make myself use Live Wallpapers. I also need it to have music controls, since I frequently use music on my Eris. Sorry if that sounded demanding.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had a look around this site but can't seem to find anyone else having the same problem as me.I downloaded an application that changed the unlock screen to the same as the iPhone.For some reason this changed my home-screen was well as my unlock screen.My HTC Hero had the same home screen as this:

But now it has changed back to the G1 (T-Mobile G1) and looks like this:

The long bar across the bottom with call etc has disappeared and changed to one square box. I have uninstalled the application but there is nothing to change it back. Can anyone help?
Okay I hope this is a simple question to ask - just got my HTC hero phone today and earlier I accidentally deleted my Favorites Log so its not displayed on home screen. I can still add/remove contacts to and from my favorites but I don't know how to get favorites log back on home screen. Any ideas?

I've recently started using the camera and noticed that it will abruptly close on me - no force close message or anything - just back to the Home screen. A reboot seems to fix it for a few snaps, then the same again.

So if I browse my settings, and go 4 screens in. I want the back button to bring me to screen 3 (like it used to), and not to the home screen.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWell have had my hero for around 3 days now. I have recently noticed a creaking sound coming from the home and back buttons. It rarely makes a sound from the menu or search button. But the home and back make this sound if I push the button or if I lightly press down (halfway pushing the buttons).
Is this normal? Do you get this on your hero?
I have an HTC Hero, rooted, latest Cyanogen with LauncherPro Plus. But I don't know if it's a rooted issue so I posted here. Sometimes scrolling slows to a crawl, sometimes it takes a minute to go back to the home screen, LauncherPro crashes a lot, the lock screen takes a few seconds to unlock. Other times all of that zips through. It's maddening About 24 megs of free storage on phone. What could it be? And the phone reboots a lot on its own also.

View 15 Replies View Related(before question shout out to how great home ++ is) ok so i've tried ish some home replacements before(and by tried i mean installed didnt like look or quite get it and uninstall(when i first got phone)). i started to youtube home++ became very intrested and installed it and love it so far! great alternative i think everyone should try it out! ok now to question this is my first time posting so hello all! now that i have home++ installed i notice that my original "home screen" is always running in the background,so is there a way to "deactivate"(for lack of better terminology). doesnt it take up cpu/gpu resources and then new home screen does also in turn draining battery or slowing phone down? if no way to deactivate should i goto original and turn off stuff like live wallpapers and also remove any widgets that update regularly so i dont have it running twice?
