I upload to Facebook using email and Facebook sends me a reply that they don't support that format. I am recording in MEGP4 & using YouTube works when YouTube actually uploads to Facebook! Am I supposed to be recording in that H.263 format?

im having problems uploading videos to facebook from my evo. tried some different methods such as getting a special email address from facebook for my account so i can email videos to my profile...it works fine for photos but will not post videos from my evo ( 3gp format issue?) i hate qik and have read about people using that to upload videos to facebook. tried it and with me its either a hit or a miss meaning sometimes it uploads and other times it doesnt ( and most of my videos are not huge usually 14 seconds and always under 30 seconds)
dont get me started on that i have to dial down the quality of the video from 720p to something that looks like a pixelated mess to upload videos to facebook in a timely manner..i dont like to wait hours or days for a video to finish uploading and yes i do it over wifi and no its not a slow connection i guess im wondering if theres a way that doesnt involve transferring files to my pc converting them to another format and uploading from there...or is there an app that works atleast 90% of the time to upload videos from my evo without having to first upload them to a secondary site and then link to facebook? i just have a hard time accepting the fact that it was painless uploading videos to facebook from a dumbphone and that its such a huge pain on my evo
I made a vid tonight, I want to upload it to face book. How do I do that? When I go to upload it, it doesn't show up. All that shows up is photos. I have emailed it to myself on my pc but it's in .3gp.

Please authorize the 'fBook' application on this Facebook page (with the word "page" hyperlinked) and then retry the photo upload. OK, no problem. So I click the link and it takes me to the Facebook login page where my email and/or password doesn't work. When I try to do it from my desktop computer and click on settings, then Activate Facebook Mobile, TMobile isn't listed as a carrier. So what do I do? View 1 Replies View RelatedLet me start by saying I love Android and have had it before, and I never jumped on the iphone band wagon, but now I feel like I may have to for only 2 reasons. I can not find an easier solution for my music. I usually download from limewire and everything falls under itunes, well after getting the capitvate yesterday It took me over an hour to figure out that I had to go through doubletwist and all this mass storage and mount stuff well after all of that I did get a few songs on my phone, but do I have to go through this EVERY time? or is there an easier way?
Also one more thing, yesterday when I got the phone I set up my facebook and now its gone. I did have status updated right on the front of my phone if I just swiped it over and now its just "daily briefing" and I cant for the life of me find my facebook unless I go to www.facebook.com what is going on? Or am I just too dumb for this phone, cause I'm not a real tech person, I just need a fast brower, music, and camera. Please help before I am forced to jump on the iphone band wagon which I really don't want to do.

I get all the way into upload and the upload page says uploads disabled. Anyone know why this would be?I registered my phone number on my previous phone (same number/provider now) with facebook and have an upload email address. On my previous phone I successfully uploaded videos using this method.So I tried it on the droid. First problem I had was with the messaging app. I can't figure out how to search my contacts from the To:. If I start typing the contacts come up but it only lists phone numbers.I found that the Contacts has an menu option for Display Options. That's where the Only contacts with phones check box is.still doesn't show up in the messaging app. I even killed it hoping some kind of refresh was needed.nope.no emails. Why doesn't the message app have a contacts menu option. So I go to contacts which now has facebook email in it. I find facebook. I hit edit. I press and hold on the email text box.copy all.then restart messaging and paste the email into the to.that was quite a bit of work.at least now I have a message thread to reuse..cause that was a PITA.I then hit upload and select my video...all my videos of which the longest is 20 seconds (I've always been able to mms up-to-30 seconds on Verizon) error out saying they are two big. btw.my samsung flip phone with windoze 2 would go into a "formatting for messaging" sequence before sending it.So I take a 2 second video attach it and send it off.facebook texts back "Sorry an error occurred processing your video. Please try again in a little while."huge props to anyone who can come up with a way to upload video either 3G or wifi to facebook. If I take a photo using the option in the facebook app, the photo will be a thumbnail size when it gets sent to facebook. However, when I take the photo through the camera app and then do share to facebook, it will be full size. Is this just me or is there a way around this?

I just hate having to log on to the full facebook site when I'm on the go just to rotate a stupid picture. It's annoying.
I've tried rotating the picture prior to uploading, but it doesn't fix the issue. And the pictures show up right-side-up in the gallery, but once they upload it's wrong.
I know already know how to upload a picture to facebook but what the Droid doesn't seem to allow is adding a caption to go along with the picture. How can I do that? My question is that recently since I have upgraded I've been having issues with loading my pictures to Facebook.It seems it wants to "hang" in loading status at 0% or sometimes will only go to like 18% and stay there.I have to power off & on to stop it and retry.And *if* the picture does load it takes FOREVER to.Before it would just fly right through uploading.Sometimes it literally takes HOURS before it will load.I have tried uninstalling & reinstalling the Facebook app too.

Check back in about 10 minutes and it had droped another 10% and the 3G at the top was staying lit as well as both arrows. I turned off the phone and turn it back on. Still same thing. Download ATK and killed everything. I gave up when it made it from 35% to 10% in about an hour. After plugging in and leaving it for an hour it has been fine.

When I connect those tablets, Windows just adds them as external drives.I guess the AVD Manager is only used to create emulators, not connect an Android device to Windows through USB. Do I need to run another SDK application? Install a specific USB driver?
I have netcounter installed on my phone so that I can watch my data transfer. I enjoy seeing how much I transfer and on average I transfer 150 to 200 megs. The last two days, I have done very little on my phone. To my surprise I open upt netcounter to see that i did over 205 megs yesterday and so far today I am at 175 megs. When I look to see where the data is coming from..it shows it is almost all Upload data. The graph shows that it started yesterday. My worry is that there is some kinda virus on here or something. I can not imagine what would be non stop uploading. How can I find out what is currently using my data.

I was able to debug and run on my device it using eclipse, it works well as long as the USB cable is connected (of course, once I disconnect it it stops working). I tried adb install as well, that works for a few sample applications I used but not for the softkeyboard (maybe because it is an input method service?). When I try to change the input method it shows me my application name in the list but does not render it on the screen.

So I uninstalled handcent completely from my phone (HTC Desire, Froyo) and attempted a new upload. Still won't accept it and 'force closes' on me.
When I upload a video from the video gallery, it only lets me upload using wifi. Is there a different app or setting that will allow me to upload using the Sprint Network?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI wanted to give my app is too long for the small icon. However looking at the market, I notice that other people have got around this by giving a longer name to the app that appears on the market list, and a shorter name to the app itself once it is installed.
For example, the is a calculator app called "RealCalc Scientific Calculator" but when you install it it just appears as "Calculator".
How do I go about this? Does the market ask you for an app name when you upload, where you can put anything you like?
Also, what about the actual .apk filename - is that important, and have any bearing on the name that appears when someone downloads the app?
I completed my apk, and about to publish my apk up to the market.
when I load my apk, this stuff just pops up :"Market requires the minSdkVersion to be set in AndroidManifest.xml. The server could not process your apk. Try again."
I'm pretty sure I did set minSDKversion "2" right now I'm stuck...
What would be some reasons i cannot download pics i receive through text? I get a transient failure, but i have viewed them before. Same with uploading to Facebook. i get an error, but once again, i have uploaded them before, the first week i had the phone.
