View 4 RepliesKind of annoying having the little arrow to say there's an event on practically every single day on the HTC Calendar widget. This wasn't the case before the other day so I'm assuming it's a 2.2 thing, not sure though.
As far as I can tell there's no way to hide them either, and it was done automatically. Just because I have a person on my FB doesn't mean I care so much when their birthday is. It dilutes my calendar and means I can't tell when my actual important things are happening
And don't say "use another calendar app", I'm otherwise happy with this, it's simple and does what I need of it
I have the contacts birthday's and events enable in my google calendar, I'm able to see them on the desktop, but they are not showing up in the phone's app. It is checked for sync and visible in the calendars config. Also other special sports calendar that I have are not showing.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt seems neither the Facebook synced birthdays along with the birthday dates manually input into contacts profiles don't show on the calendar. Any quick way of getting around having to do this manually?
View 19 Replies View RelatedI am new to the Android system and have just started to play with my Evo, and I am loving just about everything about it, save one glaring issue. When I synced by contacts with my facebook account, the birthdays of all 500+ facebook friends were synced to my calendar. I use my calendar a lot to keep up with school deadlines and exam dates, and it is now cluttered beyond use. I love being able to sync my contacts with facebook, but do not want the birthdays to appear on my calendar, is there any way to remove all of the birthdays from the calendar at once and/or keep facebook from syncing with my calendar?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've searched the forum and I'm unable to find this information. How can I disable all the birthdays from my facebook being integrated on my Calendar screen?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought my HTC Legend a few days ago. Today I've pressed "sync all" and now my calendar is FULL of my Facebook friends' birthdays - it's annoying as hell since I'm using the calendar to keep precious dates and appointments in it... how can I remove them?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to sync the Birthdays already saved to my contacts to my Calendar.
I don't use Gmail other than for the Marketplace and I don't have Facebook sync'd.
Ideally I'd have reminders on the day of the Birthday.
So I have all my contacts synced with their Facebook profile. I've ticked to use their profile pic and birthday in their contact info. When I go to any contacts details it has the little blue Facebook F next to their photo and also next to their birthday, so I know that it's all synced.
The one problem I do have is when I go in to my calendar none of the birthdays are listed.
I've gone in to the Calendar menu and checked that I have Contact Birthday and Events calendar ticked and listed.
My Google calendar is showing fine and syncing between the phone and the web.
Is this just some bug where Facebook birthdays don't show up in the Calendar? I know there are other ways around this but it'd be nice if the contact info was used better. I was kind of excited about being able to view my contacts events with the calendar, I could of easily seen what I could and could not attend.
Also an extra note, the Contact Birthday and Event Calendar does have some birthdays in it. It has mine and it also has a friend whose Facebook profile I have not linked.
I kind of like how 2.2 includes Facebook events in my calendar, but what I don't like is that everyone's birthday is showing up twice.
View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know how to sync my contacts birthdays (those that don't have a Facebook) with my calendar?? My calendar displays all my Facebook friends bdays but not my contacts without a facebook. I have to manually enter their bday in calendar even though I added it to the contact info...is there a setting to automatically add these contacts bdays?
View 7 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know how you can get the birthdays in the contacts onto the calendar without actually typing them all in again? Is this even possible? Seems like a logical thing to be able to do.
View 3 Replies View Relatedi have all my contacts and calendar in my google account. I added a birthday to one of my contacts (on the web version of my contacts google.com/contacts) and it shows up as expected in the web version of the calendar google.com/calendar (see screenshot).
However, when i view my calendar on the nexus 4 (stock calendar app), the new entry fails to show up, even though all calendars are fully synced etc (see screenshot).
I have checked the contact details on both google.com/contacts and on the phone and the added birthday shows up correctly, it's just doesn't seem to want to appear on the phone version of the calendar. I have checked that all calendars are synced on the phone (see screenshot)
I have tried clearing the app data and cache for the calendar app - no change.
Without having to add notifications to each one. I figured out how to add a calendar for all my contacts birthdays so that they automatically show up in my calendar (some of them even twice for some reason) but I see no option to add notifications to these. Someone on the forum helped me add the contacts birthday calendar and mentioned he had a 3-day advance notification in case he forgot to get them a gift.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI do not have sync birthdays checked under my accounts. The Facebook birthday events have been added to "my calendar" events. I have even done a hard reset.
Seems like a syncing issue. I want to be able to use LPP agenda widget, but I can not customize which calendars to view. This has not happened on my Droid X or Incredible.
I was wondering if there is a way to sync birthdays in the "people" app from HTC to the calendar. The "people" app does an awesome job of pulling birthdays from my contacts' facebook page but I could not find a way to add the birthdays to my calendar.
View 5 Replies View Relatedi am using HTC desire(Android) and i am pretty much happy with the performance. The issue i wanna discuss here is that my phone does not sync the birthdays from my phone contact details to the calender, as it was availabe in my previous phone HTC Touch diamond, i used to feed the birthday details along with the contact and it syncs those birthdays with the calender when i used to sync it manually with the help of computer. But no such option is availabe in Android. please don't reply with the 'synching birthday contact and events' from google calender. I've seen loads of forums on that , but that ain't related to my problem. i want synchronization of my phone contact's birthday details to the phone calender.
View 9 Replies View Relatedhow do i make the calendar show birthdays from all my contacts in People? it seems to only show Facebook birthdays. but some people in FB didn't enter their birthday in their profile. so i entered it manually into People but it doesn't show their birthday in HTC calendar widget.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI would like to do this without having to manually enter all the dates. Is there any way to sync the contact birthdays and anniversaries to my google calendar without manually updating? Im running launcher pro using the calendar widget so it would be nice to see the dates on the calendar.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI added the birthday to a contact the other day but it didn't appear in my calendar on the phone, even though I have the Google 'Contacts' birthdays and events' enabled and it has worked fine in the past.
To cut a long story short when I add a birthday a new entry is created in the Google calendar but it doesn't appear on the phone even after multiple syncs. The only way to get it to appear (or to get the test ones I tried, to disappear) was to remove the calendar from the phone and then add it again (Calendars>Menu>Remove----Menu>Add).
Just wondering if it's possible to have events created automatically, in Google calendar, for birthdays taken from from my contacts. I have synced all my Facebook contacts' birthdays with my Google contacts using Uber Facebook sync (or some other totally rad hipster name) - although they are not visible anywhere (is this even possible?).
Any easily maintainable way to receive birthday reminders? I don't want to manually create events annually.
I am Using Sony Xperia Mini on Android 4.2.2. The Problem is Google Calendar Doesnt Show the Birthday Events Which i have added in Contact Details. It shows only if add manualy any event. I have ticked all the options under Account Sync. Still the Problem Persists. And Strangely This same problem Occured even in GB,IC,JB even CM too.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHaving all my facebook contacts who have their mobile nos on their profile coming up in my contacts and all the ones with their birthdays coming up in my calendar. Any idea how I can stop this because it's annoying having all this info I don't want amongst the stuff I do.
View 5 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know a way to get all the birthdays that are listed under people to show on the calendar......i know if i sync to FB i can get all the birthdays from there but only want the people on my contacts birthdays?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI use my phone to with two calendar accounts, one google-account for private and one outlook exchange account for company. I want both to sync so that I can watch the calendar (that works). I want my private account to notify me of calendar events (that works). But I do NOT want my company account to notify me of calendar events, because there are so many meetings, that its like SPAM (and I am already reminded by my laptop at work).
So: Can I turn off the notifications for a specific account?
To clarify:
- no I do not want to change the notifications on the appointments, because I do want to be reminded at work
- no I do not want to disable the synchronisation for the company account, because I do want to be able to look at my calendar.
It is easily possible to disable the mail notification for the company account only, but it seems not to be possible for calendar notifications?
I'm a new Droid Eris user and have been using Google Calendar for some time.I have a single calendar set up which is syncing with the Eris.I can successfully add/edit/delete entries from both applications and have them show up just fine on the other side.I have a couple of recurring entries that I've since deleted in Google Calendar but are still showing up on my Eris. The unique thing about both of these entries is that they were meeting requests sent to my Gmail address and accepted from there. They have since been cancelled from the original sender and are now removed from my Google Calendar. My calendar entries are labeled as dark blue, and these two show as light blue.I cannot select them on the Eris to edit or delete them.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the EVO and I added the Facebook application. It added every single Facebook friend's birthday. I don't want these on my phone calender and when I go to Menu, there is no Delete option for these birthdays! I can only edit/delete birthday's I added myself on the phone!
View 8 Replies View RelatedAny way you can disable/delete off of my facebook friends' birthdays from showing up on my calendar?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI imported all my contacts from Outlook 2007, and this included birthday info and (wedding) anniversay info for various friends and family.
However, I can't seem to find a way to link this info (which is in the contact info) to the built in calendar on the Desire, which is quite annoying as I would like to be able to browse through my calendar and easily spot upcoming birthdays etc.
Ive linked my contacts with their facebook profile.....is there any way to sync the facebook birthdays to my calender on my HERO?
