I've been using the same SD card since day one. I just installed Dolphin Browser's "Bookmarks to SD" add-on and minutes later the phone starting telling me my SD card was corrupt and needed to be reformatted. I have restarted the phone twice and pulled the card out/put it back in. No luck, still getting same message. Am I screwed? Is there any way around this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I first got my Desire I used the stock internet browser. I added a bookmark for netcarshow.com. After a while I started using Dolphin HD which I found to be far better, and started adding several bookmarks to Dolphin. Fast forward a month or so and I'm still using Dolphin HD and have been using LauncherPro for the past couple of weeks.
The problem is when I add the LauncherPro Bookmarks widget to a homescreen. It only shows the bookmark for netcarshow.com; my saved bookmarks in Dolphin are nowhere to be seen. They all show when using the browser, but not in the LauncherPro widget. I've looked through every setting for Android, Dolphin and LauncherPro but can't find a way to import/export the bookmarks. Also used Astro to look for bookmarks folders (to copy/paste) and viewed the SD card using USB on my PC, but unable to find any stored bookmark data. The LauncherPro widget is excellent but I can't figure out how to get it to display the Dolphin bookmarks, any ideas?
recently I've started using Dolphin on my android phone, and I'm wondering if there's a way to move all my bookmarks from my desktop browser (Opera 10.60) to Dolphin since I have a lot of bookmarks and having to manually add all of them would be a huge pain.

I have a full page (4x4) to fill, and would like something that shows either a scrolling list or a collection of thumbnails of the sites. The stock Android widget only shows 6 thumbnails (non scrolling) and the HTC Bookmarks widget will only show 6 bookmarks, 5 of which are links to Orange webpages that STILL show after I deleted them! I have a fairly short list of about 10 bookmarks, stored by Dolphin, and I want quick access to them from my homescreen without placing individual icons.

I downloaded the latest update to Dolphin but I have some questions.
1) What is the quickest way to get to the bookmarks?
2) How do you edit/delete bookmarks?
So everyone LOVES dolphin hd...the verdict is out for me...it runs very slow and sluggish..doesn't always feel clicks, doesn't always open bookmarks, and doesn't always recognize text fields. Now by always i mean 95% of the time.
My phone itself is running slow lately period. Launcherpro is maggy, widget locker acts up, swype doesn't always give me the red search dot, and other fun problems.
I am rooted with 2.2. No themes.
Is there anyway to have the Dolphin browser bookmarks on the stock bookmark widget? I'd like to add and customize it but don't wanna jump between stock browser and Dolphin. Searched some other threads and could not find an answer that applied

View 9 Replies View RelatedJust thought I'd share that I downloaded Dolphin HD and it really is quite different from the stock browser. Seems faster, has nice features for eBay and Amazon, and just like how it handles. Maybe because it's different.
Question for Dolphin vets: I use the bookmarks widget as one of my homescreens, and when I click a bookmark, it does it via Dolphin. Fine. But when I click on the little globe at the top, it defaults to the stock browser. How do change this to be Dolphin? I've looked under Settings > manage apps, but nothing really asked me about which browser to make default.
Is the a way to export my Dolphin bookmarks out to the Global Bookmarks so they will appear in the stock browser?

I know how I could do this manually but would like to find an automated way so that I can always keep them in sync, does anyone know of one? I was wondering if there's a location on the filesystem where dolphin stores all the bookmarks, I did look but couldn't find one. It would just be nice to be able to click a bookmark and have the browser open at that page rather than open the browser, go to bookmarks and then find and open the particular bookmark.

Is there a way that I can still use the default 'Bookmarks' as I Luv that widget rather then having to keep going into 'Home' in 'Dolphin' to find my bookmarks. I see that we can import bookmarks from default browser to Dolphin but not the other way. Is there any way to keep my dolphin HD bookmarks synchronized with the bookmarks I use in chrome? I always found it very helpful, since I use chrome (and chromium) in at least three different computers and I never have to worry about my bookmarks because when I change them in one of the browser's instance, the other ones just change, having all the same ones. How to do the same on an android system?

View 2 Replies View RelatedHas anyone experienced an corrupted SD card with their Droid? I was listening to a podcast through Listen while navigating home and the battery was getting low. But, I was nearly home so I figured it would make it. Well, it didn't. When I plugged it in it powered up and I got an error about a corrupt SD card needing a format. I removed and re-seated the card (after shutting down the phone, natch) but that didn't help. I popped it into a PC to try to do a scandisk, but the PC couldn't read it either.
I did indeed format the card. All is well so far, but it's disconcerting that this would happen after only a few days.
A few days ago my Desire flashed up a warning that in future I should unmount my SD card correctly to avoid losing date. I hadn't touched it or even connected the phone to the PC.
Two days later and I wake up to find my phone has gone flat overnight and turned off, when I turned it back on it warned me that my SD card is blank and displays a permanent SD card symbol with question mark at the top of the screen.
Apart from my photos/music/video clips etc, what else should be on the card? I've noticed voice navigation doesn't work any more, the turn-by-turn just chimes at me to tell me a junction is coming up, also I've lost all my bookmark screenshots. I'm guessing there is a load of software on there such as HTC Sync?
I was hoping to use one of the free data recovery programs to see if I can recover my stuff...but tried a Sandisk demo one and it said it couldn't find any files to recover.
Only other possibility is I have 'wavesecure' installed, but once I realised you had to pay for it I left it alone. Only the backup facility is available on the demo mode, will it have done this automatically meaning I could pay for the app and be able to restore the data, or do you have to instigate the backup manually?
1. I have a problem with my files. It became corrupted (but not all of them) when copied from internal SD to external SD. There isn't any problem with my old 2GB SD card.
I'm using ES File Explorer to copy them to the external SD Card. Yes, the phone supports up to 32GB microSD card.

I have been using sp recovery, with kangerade 5.0.9 and chevy 1.2. I have run backups with sprecovry, but the next time I go into sp recovery and attempt backup it says sd card corrupt, giving me the error #31. I haven't connected to my computer since the last time I formatted and the only thing other than a charger I have connected is the droid dock. I can't figure out what could cause this issue.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSometimes I wish I was Dr Frankenstein and could take the parts I like from all 5 major browsers and put them together into one SUPER-browser.
1. Stock Browser (full-featured but slow)
2. Dolphin HD (medium quick but weird bookmarking scheme)
3. Opera Mini (fast and great bookmarks, but no pinch-to-zoom)
4. Skyfire (all round probably best one, but slower than xscope)
5. xScope (very fast and light but lousy bookmarking and no copy text)
Anyway, I was giving Dolphin HD a shot because I like the way you can drag your bookmarks out from the left side. I actually like to have my bookmarks alphabetized (I know, NUTS, right?), but apparently Dolphin sees no need for this as they don't have any option to sort your bookmarks by any metric other than to drag each one by hand - a rough task if you have 200 bookmarks.
Dolphin does have this "Bookmarks to SD" add-on that will allow you to export your stock browser (universal) bookmarks to an html file, then import them back into Dolphin. Unfortunately, it somehow reverses the order of my A-Z alphabetized universal bookmarks so that they are Z-A in Dolphin.
I read on one of these threads that the Dolphin B browser was very good but I'm not sure, after using it, if it's any better than the browser that came on my phone from the factory. Any insight?
