View 3 RepliesSince the 2.2 update if I leave Wifi enabled and leave the connection area, 3G does not turn back on and I'm left with no data connection at all. Only way I can fix it is to restart the phone.

How i can use ADB_ENABLED and USB_MASS_STORAGE_ENABLED in my App?
I recently rooted my phone and successfully flashed the CM6 ROM. I tried going back to sense (froyo 2.2) for 4G, and I believe my backup was corrupted or I did not back up correctly. What is the best way (if possible) to revert my phone back to the way it was? I would eventually like to get to the point where I could go back and forth when I wanted using ROM manager.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIve searched but I cant find it...I was using Sense UI and Slide Screen as my home replacements but i clicked on that thing that makes slide screen my main one and i cant switch from slidescreen to sense now.
how do i go back to sense without removing slidescreen
I forgot what i clicked on but it asked me "complete action using" then it gave me three choices to choose from which were
Default home
HTC sence
Forgot the third
This is referring to the homescreen and the default home is what the defualt android home screen looks like and HTC sence is what i need. I clicked on the Defualt home and now my home screen looks different. How do i get that option to pop up again so I can choose HTC sence?
This is an issue I've been having. I can be in any of a number of apps, and when I hit 'home' or back out of it, 20% of the time I get the white HTC evo screen and then it will redraw as if i had rebooted.I'm currently backing up in anticipating of doing a factory reset to see if that helps, but would love to avoid the hassle if I can figure out whats causing this beforehand.

View 2 Replies View RelatedBasically, I'd like to install the Slide Screen launcher on my Desire, but I don't know if I can switch back to Sense easily. Is there a way to do this, via a simple means, or by downloading a specific launcher switching app?
I'm not comfortable enough with Android yet to Root my phone, but if that is the only way, then so be it. (Although I doubt it is, what with the lovely customisation options we have at our disposal).
When i use Home Switcher to switch homes (htc Sense and Launcher Pro) when i go to the app and click use sense as default when i press the home key it still goes back to launcher pro..so when i use sense i need to try to not press home which is annoying! Also i have hand cent sms and i get a double notification. for some reason when i go to messages>menu>settings n go to unchecked received notifications i still for some reason get notifications from the stock. I even went to make sure its unchecked and it is!

Can i root the htc desire and, after that, get back to android 2.2 fully operational with sense interface?
I recently upgraded my htc desire s to the official 3.5 sense version and them to the endymion rom and both have something quite annoying in all browsers I have tried (dolphin, stock and boat browsers).
What happens is pressing back sends me to the top of a web page, meaning I have to press back twice to get to the previous page. It's not a huge deal, just a minor annoyance.
I downloaded Launcher Pro a few days ago and am loving it. As most of you know that after downloading it, pressing the home button gives you the option of which home screen launcher that you want to..well.. launch..either HTC Sense or Launcher Pro. Well this morning I picked Launcher Pro, but accidently clicked the "don't ask me this again" box before that, so now I'm stuck on Launcher Pro and can't get back to my, or any, HTC Sense launcher. I've gone all through my settings and can't figure it out. I'd like to either get back to my old HTC Sense home screen, get to the DEFAULT HTC Sense homescreen, or get back to being able to have the option to pick which one I want to launch.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is my first android device and i'm loving it... but one thing that irks me is the use, or lack thereof, of the back button.
As I am navigating menus and options in the Settings, I cannot simply go back one menu using the back key. For example, if I go to Settings->Battery Manager->Battery Profile Options and want to go back to the Settings screen, I cannot.
Pushing the back button does nothing and I can only go back to the Settings menu by going Home, then re-entering.
Another quirk regarding the back button is when reading emails. Using a regular email account such as Hotmail, I cannot simply read an email and go back to the inbox using the button.
It makes navigating the phone very tedious.
Incredibly annoying "car mode enabled" icon keeps flashing up in the top left hand corner of.my screen. It sometimes causes apps to restart. I want rid of this - forever! I have froyo running on my HTC.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSeveral posts have "confirmed" that the Incredible has WiFi N. Maybe it is capable of WiFi N, but N is certainly not enabled. See attached picture of Airport Utility at my house, which is a WiFi N router. You can see that one device is connected at 802.11a/n with a rate of 270 mpbs. You can see that another device is connected at 802.11b/g with a rate of 54 mpbs. That device is my HTC Incredible. I've tried it with two different WiFi N networks, and the incredible never connects at anything other than WiFi G, and it never has a rate higher than 54 mbps. Does anybody still care to argue that the Incredible has WiFi N enabled? Has anybody else experienced anything different?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've noticed this over the last couple of days. I have unlimited data, so have my email on autosync. I also get a lot of emails - so if I wake up (as today) to no new ones, I know something is wrong. I have the autosync thing enabled, but even when I got to the settings and ask it to sync now, it wont - it wont even try - there's no circling sync symbol, even for a moment - even unchecking then rechecking the things for syncing wont work. I have to turn it off then on before it'll do it again. What's going on - when out and about it sometimes takes me a while to notice it's not working, and turning off and on.

How can I set the attr true or false in my programm?
I installed Pete's BB v0.5 (ERE53) yesterday. Using the stock non-overclocked kernel, I am stunned at how much faster 2.1 is over 2.01.Anyway, I am curious about the JIT compiler and edited build.prop to enable it. I understand from reading either here or somewhere else that you don't have to push the three files (libnativehelper.so, etc.) as they already exist in BB. I did indeed find the three files. So how do I test to see if JIT is actually enabled and working? I ran Linpack a bunch of times before and after enabling. The highest I've see after enabling JIT is 4.667 mflops. It seems to consistently return 4.6xx mflops with occasional drops to 4.5xx or 4.4xx. Before enabling, it seemed to return mostly 4.5xx with an occasional 4.6xx. With such a small difference, I'm not convinced that JIT is actually enabled & working.

Maybe I just fail at research, but anyway.. My app requires a network connection. If it is disabled I'd like to notify users that it is required and then possibly open the network settings box so they can enable it.
