I did a search on the forum and a search on google and failed. I want to send two pictures to a friend of mine via texting. I can only select one picture through handcent. Is there an app out there that can help? I thought I read about one, but I can't seem to find it again. Or am I just failing at finding the right commands to do it?

So before i got the droid eris i could send picures from the computer to my verizon phone with vzw pics but now that i have the droid eris i cant do that. so does anyone know how to send pictures from the computer to the droid eris?

When I take a pic that I want to share, I'll tap "Share".
There, I will access the field to enter an email address that I want to send the photo to. If I have multiple people to send it to, do I have to type in each individual address, or is there a way to access my contact list somewhere so I can simply go through and select/click recipients?
I've been sending SMS messages just fine, however recently I tried sending a text message to two contacts, and one of them never received anything. However when trying to send a message to that same person only, it worked fine.

When I first got my phone, which was Monday, It would send pictures messages fine. Now for some reason, when I send them, my friends say they can't see it. The error message they get when receiving it says, "One or more of the messaging components have been deleted by MMS adaption. Either the message was too large or the components were unsuitable for your handset." This has never happened before.

Right now I would rather pay to downgrade to another phone like a BB or even pay full retail value for a completely different Droid because I am afraid if they send me another Eris it is just going to break again.
If I call VZW and talk to them, will they send me another Eris that will most likely to break or will they send me a D1 or an Incredible?

I've been using Handcent and I have trouble receiving and sending picture messages. When I get a picture is views it as a movie? how can I change it so it is just a picture, as for sending pictures, It's not working at all! Any fixes?

View 15 Replies View RelatedStill, same issue since i had the DInc from day 1, picture looks great, full 8mp, great looking, fills entire screen. I send an email, says converting to MMS, and it brings my great picture to a thumbnail size pic to other people who have DInc, BB storm, Iphones, and N1s. I see the UI resizing the picture but it's resizing it to something like 70kb, instead of resizing it to the max of 1200kb. When you resize it that low (70kb), you're losing almost 90% of the image size, my brother, who has a storm2, has to download the picture, then zoom it will give him a better picture, but if he doesnt do that, he gets only half a page.
I tried to change size to 5mp, to try to get it to somewhere around 1100kb, which will bypass the phone from resizing it and that seems to work, but it's hit or miss due to the texture of the picture, some will go WAY over 1100kb even if i use the 5mp option. Have we figured out how to send full screen, hi res shots to end users that have capable phones? its 2010 and almost everyone has a smart phone in some way shape of form, i hate that they are not receiving the full benefits of our camera when sending?
I am trying to send pictures to another phone, the MMS seems to be sending from my hpne, (no error messages or anything) but the other phone isnt receiving them. I can receive MMS from the other phone to mine but not vice versa...
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using Go SMS as my default message app on my Droid 2. When I send a picture to more than one contact, everyone I sent it to gets any response any one does to the message. This is obviously not cool.
I can't find an option to turn that off, I'd never even heard of such a feature before. Not sure if that is an Android thing or just my app. I want to continue using this app but I'm not going to send a picture to umpteen different people 1 at a time.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIt seems like whenever I try to send pictures to others via MMS, it won't let me because the pictures are too large. I know I can have my Hero take pictures it smaller resolutions, but I wouldn't want low-res pictures unless I would want to send them via MMS.
The thing is, a lot of times I dont know ahead of time that a picture I am about to take with the Hero will be used to send in an MMS. So its hard to make the decision to take in a low res beforehand. I could just switch the Hero to take all pics in low res, but then what about all the pics I don't need to send via MMS? They will all be low resolution.

I have been doing some reading about power conservation on the Eris, to extend battery time. Several people have mentioned dumping the standard SMS app and going with 3rd party. I decided to download ChompSMS and Handcent to try out. So far, I think I like Handcent the most, but everytime I get a message, all three apps fire off a notification.I have uninstalled ChompSMS, but I still get both the Eris app and Handcent notifications. What is the best was to disable the Eris app? I tried killing everything with ATM, but it just comes back whenever a message comes in.

I'm currently using handcent and it would not send any picture texts. The sending green bubble keeps spinning no matter how long I leave it. Then the text becomes "undelivered."
I also tried sending picture mms with the native message app and it got sent but the people I was trying to send it to said they didn't receive anything.
Does anyone notice that when you send a picture via email or facebook it freezes your phone?! I notice that every time I send a picture via email or Facebook it freezes the phone for about 30 seconds or so and won't let me do anything.

I have done this with WiFi turned off. Sending text is no problem but pictures is. Is there a bug in the handcent app? Just wondering because its getting frustrating. I have pictures from last night that never reached my wife and still says pending on the status.

I have owned this phone for roughly a year, and starting a couple weeks ago I have been unable to receive the MMS messages or send my pictures, I use Handcent. What happens when I get the message- It says Subject:no subject 1 KB and has a download button, after I press it all that happens is it says "Downloading" for hours on end and never actually does. When I send pictures the send spiral just spins endlessly and it doesn't send. My mobile data is on, my WiFi is off and I'm not sure what else I need to do.

So I require that server should send Post's one by one so as to add each of them to a list of Posts after parsing and then finally notifying the list adapter of changes in the data set after all Post's have been added.But the problem coming when intially loading the application, the page has to be populated with 10 latest Post's from the server. So I thought of a rather dirty way of sending 10 httpget requests to the server one after the other to the server. The code looks like this.I was thinking of executing it 10 times in a loop to get the 10 Post's I require. But in Django as far I know (correct me if I am wrong) there's no way to keep an index of the last sent Post to the client and so no way to send the 'next' Post on the next HttpGet request. So I am out of ideas.I feel there's a better way to do this efficiently.

I downloaded the Handcent App and even it does the same thing as the stock app. It appears there's an option to split the message up as described when sent to a group. But it still creates the new thread whenever sending to individual names.
Just had to reboot my phone because my text messages were not sending and giving me some cryptic error that didnt tell me anything worthwhile.Wondering if anyone has seen this on their Eris? I've read about text message issues on the Hero, but so far not anything about the Eris yet. Hopefully it was just a 1-time fluke up until then it's been working perfectly for 3 days now, and its working perfectly fine again now.
