I noticed that after I installed the Foursquare app that my sensor usage in Spare Parts has gone through the roof. I had 8 hours of use on it yesterday! Has anyone experienced this? Is there an alternative foursquare app that can be used?

I've been using swype for awhile and now it wont let me use it anymore so i got better keyboard and i dont find it better at all.... are there any other good alternative keyboards?

But I wonder can we do the same thing with Foursquare application? Just like send the latitude and longitude and bring Foursquare app with place around the position we send to.
Who has Foursquare on their Android is it really as hyped up as everyone on blackberry puts it out to be.

I hear that Places has a lot of potential to surpass Foursquare but like that guy said, it looks pretty boring. I don't want to do Foursquare and then have to start over if/when Places takes off and adds all those points, badges, and rewards.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI got a new Wildfire about a week ago and I've been loving it, I used it in London and at home here in Norfolk with no problems until yesterday. All of a sudden my weather location changed to Sheffield.When I went into Google Maps it locked my location to be a park on the outskirts of Sheffield then after a few minutes it would find my real location. I turned off Wifi and using Wireless Networks to locate and it stopped doing that in Google Maps but wouldn't change the weather location and sometimes when I'm using Foursquare it will come up with a random list of places near Sheffield.This morning I wake up, turn on my phone and it decides it's in Aberdeen where apparently it's sunny. That's on the other side of the country and I just can't shake it off my weather gadget.

Just wondeirng if there is a way to keep the Droid X browser from loading mobile (WAP) sites? I don't care to be directed to mobile sites. I know with the HTC Droid Incredible, as well as many other Android smartphones (other than Motorola it seems) there is an option to disable mobile sites and get the actual web site like it would be displayed on a desktop computer.

What is the view element which gives effect like a HTML's TextArea? I want to create a form to send Email and for the body field I want to create a textarea type of UI element in the form.

I'm using Launcher Pro and suspect that's the problem. But what I need is to be able to one-touch dial a dozen or so contacts. (What a concept!) View 1 Replies View RelatedA few weeks back I started using the full version of droid live (has another name now but I forget it at the moment) to stream various music and talk radio stations (both national and international) The program worked great, as I was able to easly connect and stream music/talk with virtually no drops. There is one local sports talk radio that I listen to the most. All of a sudden, in the last week or so, live has had serious problems connecting to that one specific station. Once connected however, the program actually works fine with no drops. it just takes repeated attempts to get it to connect. I know it is not a signal issue, as I get great 3G in my home and business. Sent an email to the developer a few days ago and have not heard anything back yet. So do any of you know of any decent programs that might rival droid live?

When I initiate a gTalk conversation with an invisible status, the conversation usually remains short - like an SMS conversation.
