View 2 RepliesWhen I installed DamageControl v2.08.1 on my cdma Hero the calendar and date are 24 hours off! Time is correct but it's the next day. When I did a back up of this install it even used the wrong date on the backup. I have a bunch of small issues that I think with patience I may be able to work around but this clock/date thing has me puzzled. Also has anyone figured out how to put a custom city in for the weather widget and not one of the ones listed but for example a small town (any town) some where in the USA? I could do this on my 1.5 but this weather widget acts like the clock and you can only use their listed cities.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am looking for a widget (it could be a Clock and/or Weather or Calendar widget) which also display the time/day of the next scheduled alarm. I tried many of the most popular Widgets apps on the market but I couldn't find any.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have clock/weather widget on my main screen but although I have auto sync enabled in settings it never updates and i have for instance the moon in the middle of the day unless I change it manually. I changet the sttings to update hourly but no luck.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMine has been working fine until just now. For some reason it has stopped displaying the date, weather etc for my location I've tried re-syncing it, but it says "no weather data" available. Is this a bug? Will it return on its own?
View 7 Replies View RelatedJust upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy Portal/Spica to a DHD and really happy with the move. Its a beast of a phone!
One question though, the "standard" HTC clock widget, that includes the weather on it won't auto update. If I click it, then menu, then settings the only selectable options are "Update when opened" and "Temperature scale".
The options for "Update automatically" and "Update schedule" are greyed out. I've tried adjusting the sync settings in the main settings section but nothing makes a difference.
How can I get this to work? Frequently I will look at my phone and it will tell me my location but not the weather. And whilst it isn't vital, I jkust think the screen looks nicer with a sun or cloud or moon or whatever on it.
I've removed the standard weather/clock widget from my home screen but want to get it back. How do I do this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedRecently, the weather part of the clock widget has not been displaying the right city. the city is very close to where i live though. it is currently showing "east san gabriel valley" but i actually live in "diamond bar". these are both little cities (very close to each ohter) in southern california. is this caused by the cell tower that the phone is connected to? if i enable wifi, the city does show diamond bar.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI heard HTC made 3rd party makers like Weather Widget remove their similar designed flip clock widgets but is there any way to still get it somewhere on my Droid? I want the exact same look as the ones you see on HTC.
View 21 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know whether or not the moon on the default HTC clock/weather widget shows the current moon phase or not? It seems to match up just now but that might just be coincidence. Would be a really cool extra if it didn't already.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there a, possibly, a fullscreen clock widget that shows the clock and active alarms? Thanks.

I have an upgrade available atm and I can't decide if I should wait or not. I currently have a Droid 1 rooted/OC'd. My options are either the Fascinate or wait till Jan-Feb. I have zero interest in the X, and can't see "upgrading" to the D2 or the Incredible.
It is probably meaningless to ask the Fascinate community because, like the D1 community, you're probably all biased..but how are you liking your Fascinates? Would you upgrade to it today if you had the choice? What's the highest achievable clock speed to date (stable)? How is audio quality, I've heard of speaker crackling when at max volume?
I can create a static widget without thinking, I can even create a widget like the analogue clock widget that will update itself, however, I can not for the life of me figure out how to create a widget that reacts to when a user clicks on it. Here is the best code sample that the developer documentation gives to what a widget activity should contain (the only other hint being the API demos, which only creates a static widget):
public class ExampleAppWidgetProvider extends AppWidgetProvider {
public void onUpdate(Context context, AppWidgetManager appWidgetManager, int[] appWidgetIds) {
final int N = appWidgetIds.length;
// Perform this loop procedure for each App Widget that belongs to this provider
for (int i=0; i<N; i++) {
int appWidgetId = appWidgetIds[i];
// Create an Intent to launch ExampleActivity
Intent intent = new Intent(context, ExampleActivity.class);
PendingIntent pendingIntent = PendingIntent.getActivity(context, 0, intent, 0);
// Get the layout for the App Widget and attach an on-click listener to the button
RemoteViews views = new RemoteViews(context.getPackageName(), R.layout.appwidget_provider_layout);
views.setOnClickPendingIntent(R.id.button, pendingIntent);................
I want to remove the existing calendar application icon and replace it with a date/time widget over it. The widget now when pressed does nothing but only shows current date and day of week. Can this be done? I have tried other programs but they only seem to allow me change the name of the icon. I tried using any cut and also Launcher.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm after a calendar widget that shows day+date in header for today (like standard one) but that shows more than one event - tried Gemini but that doesn't give me the day of week in header..
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have loaded the small calendar (HTC) widget on my home screen. Every morning when i turn on my phone the date on the widget is yesterday's date. When I set the time to 11:59PM the date changes when the clock changes to 12:00AM when the phone is active but the date does not change when the phone is inactive?
View 2 Replies View RelatedHow come when I load up the calendar widget to display on my phone it just shows a small square with no dat or anything? It just says no upcoming events? Does it show the date or is there a widget that does the date etc?

View 2 Replies View RelatedCan anyone recommend a good widget that displays the time and date, but not the weather? I've been using Beautiful Widgets, but the weather, in my opinion, isn't very accurate. I have Weatherbug Elite, and I'd like to have something like Beautiful Widgets to display the time.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy calendar widget will not update to the current date. Right now it is showing that today is yesterday (which is when i placed the widget on my desktop). When I open the widget, the calendar shows the correct date, but on my desktop it doesn't.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI think this has been posted before but I haven't found an answer yet. I'm using the one-day calender widget. When I have an all day event, it shows the wrong date. For instance, I have a all day event on the 18th; today is the 16th and it's showing the event as being tomorrow.
Anyone else have this problem and find a fix yet?
I'm affraid I'll show up at the wrong place a day early or a day late...
Is there a way to get the lock screen time and date widget (or one that looks like that) on the home screen? I like the clarity and simplicity. The standard home screen widget is so ugly.

View 19 Replies View Relatedi have a new motorola droid. I,m looking for the wf clock widget which my wife has, but i can't find it in the apps anywhere.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there any app with a clock like the HTC Sense one but WITHOUT the weather? Something like this but without any animations, temperature, etc. I just want the time and date.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was wondering was there if there was a better clock than the HTC sense clock, I like it and all but i think it's to big for what I'm going to want to put on my new phone(when it eventually comes out)
any suggestions, ones that probably should include the weather/date with the time too
I noticed that when i set the alarm clock using htc clock widget, if I kill the clock task using advanced task killer, the alarm doesn't go off. Is this really how it works? I feel like the clock and its alarms should just run as part of the system.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am using the factory-stock clock widget. I have noticed recently that when the phone "sleeps" the widget will not update the time. However, the clock that shows up on the locked screen is correct. The widget is also my alarm clock and since is does not update, it does not work. It was working fine for the first 2 weeks. Being very new to smart phones, I am sure I changed something or downloaded an app that messes with the updating...
