View 3 Replies View RelatedI love the Samsung camera app, and it works much better than the stock camera app on AOKP on my SII I777, but I understand my ROM needs to be Touchwiz based to run it...Can I install Touchwiz on top of my AOKP ROM to install the official Samsung camera app.
View 1 Replies View Related I'm looking for some custom Jelly Bean 4.3 Roms based on official Samsung Rom for my i9100, so it would have Touchwiz also.Currently i keep switching between CM10.2 (4.3.1) and Wanamlite 14.7 (4.1.2).
I like Wanamlite just because it uses the Samsung Touchwiz interface i like so much. Other than that, any other stock Rom, rooted and debloated would do just about the same. What i like about CM10.2 and cyanogenmod in general is the speed and stability the Rom feels like. Also, the latest 4.3 Roms gave me infinitely great battery lives compared to any other JB Rom i tried since. And judging from other posts and reviews on the internet, Google worked their magic on 4.3 for small batteries run through the day (almost double the life of 4.1.2 or even worst 4.2.x). So it seems the perfect combo for me would be a 4.3 custom with TW.
Touchwiz gallery seems to pull pictures posted in Google+ into separate folders labeled by date posted as opposed to one folder labeled "Photos from Posts" like Picasa or stock ICS/JB does.
Attached is a picture of the folders I am talking about. It's the ones I wish to remove/hide.
Is there any way to have it do the same as stock and place them in one folder as well?
If not, is there any way to simply hide them while keeping the rest of the folders from picasa visible?
If not, is there a third party gallery that will allow me to do the above asked.

I'm not sure what I must've done. But nevertheless my stock Touchwiz firmware from my Galaxy S3 is gone. I must've deleted it while doing a factory reset, because my play store was acting up.
I would like to flash back to stock Touchwiz on my phone but when I looked for it on ROM Manager and in recovery all my previous backups were gone. So I was wondering if there is a way to get my stock firmware back or maybe even retrieve it from my phone from someplace it could be hiding.
Some more info: I am running CyanogenMod 10.1.3 and rooted with clockwork mod. This is on my Samsung Galaxy S3. And I am with T-Mobile on a contract in the United States.
My question, is it possible for me to somehow get the stock Touchwiz texting app on a Samsung S3 running CyanogenMod 10.1.3? I'm not really a fan of how the Google one is set up.

Galaxy Grand is base dpi 240 -> 180 change! But touchwiz's does not change the dpi!
make multi dpi Touchwiz for Galaxy Grand.
Just got a Samsung galaxy note 2, and have been making it less touchwiz like with custom launchers etc. Unfortunately I cannot root it right now, but will do in the future.
My query is about what the tab is in this screenshot, and how I might disable it, as it looks awful and gets in the way.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm a Galaxy S2 GT-i9100 user and I wanted to know how to run touchwiz in tablet mode. Do i have to decompile SecLauncher2.apk and edit the code so that it becomes accurate when using with landscape mode or is there an xposed module. Or do i edit build.prop file? I don't want to install other launchers or get ParanoidAndroid.

Is there a way to do this? Also i dont want to install a different rom or launcher.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI had a Samsung Nexus S which started to have this strange Android OS battery drain some weeks before the OTA ICS came in. I read thousands of forum posts to try tons of stuff to solve the problem without any success.
I then decided three weeks ago that it's obviously time to get a new phone so that I bought the Galaxy SIII (int). Strangely I still have great problems with my battery life which brought me here to ask some pros now.
Phone: Samsung Galaxy SIII (int)
ROM: StockROM (4.1.1) and CM10 Nightly
Carrier: German E-Plus
What is the most noticeable about the battery drain is, that it appears in standby (over night) in both ROMs, Stock and CM10 likewise with some minor differences. In 10h standby (Wifi on, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC all off, only few widgets, AquaMail on push) battery goes down from 100% to 70%.
After all, I tested both ROMs in the same situation over night and the bettery drain is pretty comparable (see the screenshots).
What I already tried (in both ROMs):
- disable all Google Maps autostarts and disable all location services
- disable apps like Gtalk, G+ etc.
- uninstall AquaMail
without any effect on the standby battery drain...
i have a galaxy s2 gt-i9100 and i wanted to know how to hide Apps and Widgets tab in the app drawer and also make the app drawer fully transparent like the galaxy s5? I decompiled seclauncher2 but i dont know what file to edit
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am developing my am on mac (10.5.8), on eclipse and SDK 1.6 and a Vodafone HTC Magic Everything was working ok up to a few days ago. I can not see my device on adb devices. I also got a Sony Xperia and I can not see it on the list either. I upgraded the phone software (the HTC) to 1.6 a few days ago. Maybe that is what caused the change, but I could not be sure.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an Epic now and will probably end up keeping it just for the Touchwiz UI (shocker I know, but I prefer it over Sense UI). I really like the look and feel of the EVO though, is there any way to get Touchwiz on an EVO? I'm still in my 30-day switch out period and would grab an EVO in a heartbeat if this is possible.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am ok with touchwiz and wonder is there a 1.6 rom including it?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI really like touchwiz 3.0 and if it wasnt for that physical keyboard id prob be getting the epic. Anyway I have never rooted i just installed [MOD] TouchWiz for Froyo FRF83 - xda-developers a touchwiz launcher and it works pretty good a little laggy at times but i want more features and widgets. I see this rom [ROM-MOD] Gefrost-R7 (25-08-10) Galaxy S Style 720p A2SD+, Touchwiz, Music mod - xda-developers but idk if thats installable on the evo? i have no idea how to tell if its compatible. And if anyone of u have link to a touchwiz rom let me know.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI replaced Touchwiz's home with GDE off of the martet. It makes the phone truly phenomenal. Now, it doesn't officially support cupcake, but if you can buy it off of a G1 or other 1.6/higher device, you will be able to download it on a 1.5. Otherwise, do a build.prop hack. I'll release one of my own, but I contacted the developer first to see if he'd just do it officially, it'd be much cleaner and safer.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI've been deciding on phones for about a month or so now and have done NOTHING but research almost 24/7 and was all over the Incredible. It seems like a VERY good phone, but now I'm a bit torn, again, The Fascinate is out now and im mildly curious about how bad Bing and touchwiz REALLY is. I hear a lot of hoopla about how its awful and you should avoid it like crazy, but I dont know how much of that is just "new phone hate" or how sound that criticism is. I would MUCH rather stay with Google and Sense, but I cant escape the feeling that I might be making a mistake choosing the older phone over the newer fascinate. Really my biggest features I want out of this phone is a good phone, capable browser (I like me some internetz), decent camera/video, music player and GPS navigation.
View 13 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know of any ports of touchwiz (or something similar) that have been done for the eris? I have been thinking about getting the fascinate when it launches but wanted to see how the stock interface feels.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI heard that someone somewhere in china or something was using 2.1 on the moment and that it included touchwiz. I don't know if its true or not but I am interested in knowing what the actual touchwiz owners/users think of it. Do you like it? Don't you like it?
View 17 Replies View RelatedJust want to know what exactly TouchWiz is, since it seems to be the only thing that keeps me from buying this phone over the iPhone 4 at the moment. Everyone keeps saying that it slows the phone down, and each person has something different to say about the possibility of removing it and the phone running faster. Would be nice to clarify on that, since it seems like some people just got lucky with their phones, they're just used to a slower speed, or that the other people just don't know how to remove all the bloatware properly.
View 3 Replies View Relatedwill the galaxy (not lite) get the new TouchWiz UI from samsung ? because all the new android phones have thier own nice UI and the galaxy is extreemly generic ..
View 2 Replies View RelatedI saw this on another thread. Figured it would belong here well. Anyway, If you don't like the TouchWiz that Samsung has put on, you can follow this to disable it. This is tentative until someone can try it on a Fascinate for sure, but it should work. I have the system dump and the TouchWiz30Launcher.apk is a regular app under /system/app/. I may not be labelled as TWLauncher as on the video, but something similar to it. I will update as soon as I receive mine and more people doing it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've spent the last week or so retooling my launch screens with different launchers (LauncherPro Plus, Open Home, ADW) and I liked features of them all, but no one launcher had all the features I wanted and no one launcher looked completely ready for prime time. So yesterday I went back to TW, just to see what I was missing and found that I like it better than I did before. It's not on par with Sense (I had an Aria before I went to the Cap), but it's a well-executed UI with enough polish to make it look slick enough. The third party stuff was always a little janky and I had to futz with the phone to get it right. I come from a graphics background and, while I don't really dig the cartoony icons and I wish I had the option to select my own, it's a nice looking interface.
