Within the sony camera app on my xperia z2 I've set the default app for opening photos i've taken to 'google photos', I now want to change it but google photos doesnt appear in the list of apps under any of the headings or as any other name I recognize. How can I remove this default?

I got my GS3 yesterday, and i am trying to move all the pictures (and videos) from my skyrocket over to it. on the skyrocket i had them stored on the internal sd card, and i want to do the same on the gs3. i have tried numerous things so far such as moving them to the computer then to the new device, as wel as copying them to the external sd, putting that in the gs3 and copying them to the internal sd from there. my problem every time is that whatever i do, changes the date of the pictures on the new phone to all say the time that they were copied, rather then when they were actually taken and it puts all the videos before the pictures; basically my whole gallery is just out of whack.

I was wondering how to remove this default as there is no photos app in the app list in settings. The issue with photos is this app doesn't work with it, it won't let me upload any pictures.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI keep having to change my default ringtone to my choice, for some unknown reason, it keeps getting changed back to default. I have rings extended and have changed most of my contacts ringtones and they have stayed, but whenever I go to settings and change it and then either shut my phone off, plug it in, whatever, it causes it to go back to default. I have tried ringdroid and that seems to only work as a ringtone maker, it will not show up in the menu to change tones like Rings Extended does. I also moved my ringtones to an appropriate folder for access. I also have adw launcher now (previously Launcherpro plus-which made no difference)

View 1 Replies View RelatedFirst off, I maintain a Sidekick 4G ROM, and it's been pretty successful so far. But, the default Launcher in system/app is launcher2.apk and it works no mistake about it. But I want to change this launcher to FTL (Faster Than Light) because it performs a lot better for the scenario I'm in. However, I remove the launcher2.apk, and include the FTL.apk, and after flashing I'm left without a launcher, even renaming the FTL.apk to launcher2.apk doesn't work. I even went into META-INF folder and changed the name lowveld to CERT (like it is in most launchers)

She uses the built-in android music player and wants to change the picture that is used when it plays a file that does not have any album art associated with it. It's usually like something with a colored background and a music note.
Here's the problem. She had to have the phone replaced and got a refurb. Well whoever owned the phone before somehow changed the default picture to a photo of...well...his package. Maybe not his but it's someone's junk. It makes it kind of awkward whenever an unassociated song plays and the screen shows someone. She was able to find the original picture and delete it but it still shows up so it's got to be hidden somewhere. I've looked through the file structure and can't find it.

I am Cooking a ROM based on Sony's Stock ICS but I have removed SOny keyboard and added Android AOSP one..
The problem is when I flash the ROM, it doesnt Show up any keyboard until I go to Settings>Input>Default and Select Android Keyboard then it works
I want to Enable Android keyboard by default after flashing ROM without getting into settings..
Any way I can do that by Some script or build.prop line?

Using Dialer One, or Phone. And it gives me the option to "Use by default for this action".So, lets say I want to use Dialer One by default, but then I change my mind. How do I set it back to the default Phone.Obviously, this question applies to more than just the phone app. After writing all that I think the simple way to ask my question is- I really just want to know how to undo the 'use by default for this action' choices I may make in the future.

I have contact pictures for my contacts that I have chosen and assigned to my contacts manually and are stored as the Google contact picture, I have an issue with the facebook app when it syncs a facebook profile picture update the application forces the contacts default picture to be the facebook picture.
I don't want it to do this, it can change the facebook linked contact picture but why does it have to change the contacts default picture?? Is there some way this can be blocked or stopped from within Android contacts??
This has been prevalent since before I can remember with the facebook app and sync. Surely submitting a bug to facebook is not the solution as we SHOULD be able to control and/or lock portions of our contacts details..

I was wondering if anyone knew of a way or an app that would allow me to see all my gmail accounts when opening the gmail app.
Basically instead of it opening straight to the last account I had opened I would like for it to default to the page that shows me each of my accounts and their unread counts. You know, the page you get when you hit Menu - Accounts?
Seems that whenever I open the browser it goes to my last page visited, rather than the default home page (Google.) How can I make it go to Google whenever I open the browser from home?

My Sony Xperia has taken it upon itself, along with facebook to download a lot of photos from facebook "friends"- most of whom are friends of friends of friends(etc). I want to delete them, but cant find out where they are saved. When I try to delete them from my album, it will give me the option of deleting any foto I WANT that I've put on, but not the BLOAT rubbish of people/places/brick walls etc that I dont want. I've now disabled Fbook to stop any more.

Problem: I have two batteries, default one and Mugen one. Every time I change a battery the phone system time resets.

Install different NTP server synchronizing app. I am in china, so it could not connect to the server and I get error every time, even after change to chinese NTP server - Still no luck...
Install different GPS synchonizing app, sometimes it work sometimes not and it takes too long to synchronize.
I'm not rooted with anything, however I am running Open Home. I also installed the Windows7 Icon Pack for use. However, I wish to change some of the icons it defaults to when I load them up (particularly the Market icon, which defaults to the Recycle Bin).Is there a way to do this manually? or do I need to download another software from the market? I see some people mentioned "Better Cut" but I'm unsure if that does what I am asking, or if it is just a replacement for Open Home.I'm not too savvy poking around the Android OS at the root.

By default R.Java will get created in gen folder under the package (of the application) directory. I have a common code (with UI) which has to go with different applications with different package names/branding. When ever I change the package name in manifest file, R.java will created inside that package so I have to change the import statement in all the files with the new location of R. How I can avoid it? Also is there is any provision to have two or more R files in one application?

Part of why I wanted to change the default was to have more Home screens so I could scroll horizontally to view my apps (like the iPhone; I am not trying to be like the iPhone.I just do appreciate certain design factors!).Is there a way to change the default location of the apps to the various Home pages? Seen em with checkerboard pattern across his midsection. Never seen a completely custom without the robot tho. My question is how do you change that screen and is the robot not removable? Can I just put some random picture that I think is cool at the time? Oh and how do I change the color of the call button and battery icon, if theres a way without installing other apps to do it?
