I can connect and troll around on wifi as usual, but besides getting the phantom access point "NVRAM WARNING: Err = 0x10", I'm having a problem similar to the one on this thread, where the MAC would start at 00:08:22: but ends with a random value.
Tried editing WIFI in data
vramAPCFGAPRDEB but regardless of what address I use I still end up with the same problem.

I have formatted by mistake Nvram memory of my Lenovo P770 (MTK 6577) with Sp format tool. Unfortunately, as a consequence I have lost IMEi. after research , have i successful restored the IMEI back. now im having a problem : in Wlan shows me > nvram warning err 0 x10
How I can solve the problem? Unfortunately i didnt make any backup for Nvram memory
has it something to do perhaps with Mac Adresse?
my Lenovo A1 tablet has been really acting up lately due to a failed flash of the newest version of Cyanogenmod 7. After the failed flash, I flashed the ramdisk needed for my device which is called, "stock-at-ramdisk-2643.zip" then i restored the backup as the directions said. Now my wireless either says, "error" or it doesn't scan for networks nearby. Also I'm getting random reboots pretty much ever 1-2 minutes. I'm pretty sure i ran through the instructions correctly.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just bought a Freelancer PX2 and am reluctant to tweak it until I am happy it is working properly and have accepted delivery.But it comes up with a different MAC address every time it is turned on. The first 3 bytes are always 00:08:22: but the remainder appears to be random. I know MAC addresses can be spoofed, but I have never seen one that changes on an unmodded device.
PX2, whether this happens on their tablet, or whether the MAC address is fixed (as I believe it should be)?
I have rooted Lenovo S880 for changing the default DPI from 240 to 190, the DPI change was succesful but its affect the contact function to be always force closed.

At first try, my sim cannot be detected (GSM) both slots, 2G or 3G, I tried other sims, nothing happen. I tried on other phones, the sim works well.
The phone can detect sim provider, but cannot detect any network. SIM contacts OK, Even when I tried to choose network manually, I cannot do it, it says network error. Whats the problem?

I got a Lenovo ideapad K1 getting error such Unrecoverable Bootloader Error (0x0000004). This how it happens before I get the error.
I was currently running Kaschemme's custom rom for lenovo k1, CM10.1(android 4.2.2). I have this tablet where the physical home key is faulty I have read from some Lenovo k1 thread how to fix it. Then tried the method then it worked. The next morning, I used the K1 and its a bit acting up and started lagging then hang's up. I do a force shutdown then tried the method again to make the home key work while booting up until it reaches the homescreen then instatntly hung up. This happened 3x and I used the same previous method every time a boot up the tablet. For that 3rd time it never reached the homescreen I had a series of hanging at the Cyanogen boot animation and did a force shutdown and never tried using the method to make the home key work.
After these series of hanging and force shutdown at the bootanimation, now it only boots up until the Lenovo logo and never passed that logo. After that I decided to reinstall Kaschemme's CM10.1 for lenovo k1 by entering to APX mode then when installing and everything was successful waited for my tablet to reboot but NO REBOOT happened, but instead I got the aforementioned error. I even tried to reinstall that same ROM and even, AOSP JB by Khanning, HC stock, HC rooted rom for Lenovo K1 and no luck at all.
I had the good idea to format the whole flash memory of my phone (Star x920). Now, I can find a lot of rom's but without nvram. So, I didn't have anymore a proper calibration ini for the signal =>no 3G.
And if I flash my phone, I must all times re-enter the Imei's. Is the nvram the same for all mtk6589 phones? Where can I find a "full rom" included nvram?

I'm using Handcent (recent convert from BB) I have a few shortcuts setup for frequent persons I text but wondered the fastest way to compose a text for a random person in my address book. Here's what I've done:
1. press Handcent
2. press top left icon for new message
3. press + sign
4. scroll list for contact
5. press check mark
6. press check mark to select mobile phone
7. press ok
8. press menu
9. press "end select"
10. compose text.
so, that's nuts. The other way I've tried is:
1.press people shortcut
2. scroll list for contact
3. press contact
4. Look at the 3 entries for "send message" (my example contact) and try and remember which is the cell phone.
5. press send message.
6. compose text
So I guess the second way is better but I'd rather not have to figure which is the cell phone and rather than scrolling to find the name I'd rather type first letters of name.

I like to add addresses to my phone book in Android. As a lot of my contacts live in buildings i also like to add the floor and apartment number to the address: Looking like that:
Street and Number, Floor and Department number
Town, zip code
State
Country
Example;
Av. Whatever 12345, Floor 5-A

When clicking on the address the GPS of my wish opens , finds the country, city but not the street because of the additional Floor and department information. Without this additional information everything well with Google Maps or Sygic.
So, how should i add this additional Floor and department information to my address without the GPS has problems to find the main location.Also from ICS on there is only one filed to add the whole address not as with Gingerbread where you had a field for street, city, etc.
I have 9 Favorites set up on my Incredible, 8 of them work perfectly (I have them fixed up so that when I choose the person, the entire address card comes up so I can choose to call, email, text or whatever), and the ninth (set up only to place a telephone call) used to work perfectly, now not so much.When I select the contact, I get a message that says "Call not sent, no valid number entered".I have looked at his address card, and all seems correct.I have not changed anything so really don't know what is going on.I thought maybe if I deleted this one contact and then re-added, it would fix it, but when I try to delete this one, the phone looks like it wants to delete the other 8 as well, and I really don't want to have to set this up again (actually, can't remember how I got them to show the whole address book entry).
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had my Incredible since 4/28, and everything has been working smoothly up until about last Thursday night when it just restarted out of the blue while I was listening to music. Then right after it booted up, it restarted again, then again about seven more times. I got fed up and took out the SD card and it seemed to stop after that, so I haven't put the SD card back in since then.
Just now, Wednesday, about a week later, I was browsing around on the internet and all of a sudden, it restarted, and then again, and again, and again. I've read that it is because of poor signal strength or something like that so I had just enough time to put it in airplane mode before it restarted again.
Side note, that theory about it being caused by poor signal seems to make sense because the first time it happened to me I was out of town in a city that gets very bad coverage with Verizon, and now today when it started happening again was at my house where for some reason I get very bad service with the incredible, my old phone worked perfectly fine in my house but the incredible gets terrible service, and so does my brother's Droid. In fact, about two weeks ago I got my first dropped call on Verizon in about three years, and it was in my house.
So anyways, I decided to put it in airplane mode, and just after I put it in airplane mode it restarted again. Then when it booted back up my Helix Launcher 2 home screen went back to the standard Helix Launcher 2 icons, I go into my messages and everything is gone, my contacts are all gone, everything is gone. I go to the app menu and all my apps are still there, but when I start up an app, all the custom settings are default now. I went into the settings and my accounts are all still there. I click on internet and I get a terms of service agreement, it's as if I am booting it up for the first time, but for some reason my apps and accounts are all still there.
I turn airplane mode off thinking it might have something to do with it not being connected to my google account, and I restart it again and everything is still gone. I don't know what to do, has this happened to anyone before? I feel like there should be a way for me to get this stuff back since my apps are still there and my accounts are still synced, but random things are missing like my contacts and messages etc. This is really starting to get annoying, I have insurance and everything, but I really don't want to exchange it for another one because I've read that other people who have had there phones replaced have still had the same rebooting problem, even after going through multiple replacements.
I've got a couple of questions that have been driving me nuts since I got my Moto Droid. I was going to post in the Droid forum, but I someone in my family has a LG Ally and is having the same problems.
First, does anyone else get random "Google Sign In Error" notifications which prompt you to type in one of those random jumbled words that everyone uses to prove your not some bot or something? The two Android phones I know do this. I searched the forum and found a bunch of stuff to do with youtube accounts...neither of us have youtube accounts connected to the phone. It is a pain in the ass, and it often makes me do more than one. Only thing that really really bothers me about my awesome phone. it's nonsense that it does this. I have two gmail accounts if that matters, but the family member has a gmail account and an aol account....so yeah...
Second...I'm using Launcher Pro as a home replacement, annnnnd sometimes after I've been searching the web or using some application when I press the home button it appears to be restarting Launcher Pro? It takes 10-20 seconds for everything to load up (clocks, widgets, etc). I assume it does this when the phone needs more resources or something? Is this normal? Anything I can do to make this happen less often?
