View 7 RepliesI have Noir A10 by Qmobile and since morning I am having this problem. I had installed JMP ROM v 8 and it was working super fast for atleast a month or so. When I got up in the morning, I saw the wait logo(that appears when I boot up the phone). I waited for a few minutes but phone was stuck there. I tried to restart but it didnt respond. I took out the battery and turned it back on. It did turn on but display resolution had a problem. I could not see whole the screen. For instance when I browse to Application drawer, I am unable to see some of the Icons. I reset the phone to factory settings and restarted but had the same problem with display. Then I tried to reboot into recovery but it simply resets the phone to factory settings instead.

It seems that old tricks for QMobile NOIR A2 (it's a different model) don't work with this model.

I have tried a couple of applications (ROM Manager, MobileUncle MTK Tools) too but the phone is reset to factory settings each time.

I have done all the method of Link2sd by making partition of my sd card. But my Qmobile noir a2 internal memory still going to lower down..
why is it so i hav linked all the lib files, dalvick cache ...every time i installed a new app it takes my internal memory lower down ..
When i start my phone it's stuck on the QMobile Logo. I left it charging for many days still not working. Because of a font i installed using font installer *root*. The first time i used it it didn't ask me for rebooting. But it changed the font. So i rebooted automatically (i rooted it b4 + Jelly bean 4.1.1). I didn't like the font so i changed it. This time it asked me and i pressed yes. And then the problem appeared. Someone told me to unroot it. The problem is that my phone is not recognizable. I used PDANet to solve this problem but some error comes saying that my phone is not connected or not found. . I can unroot it with the program i used for rooting it. But i only want to know how do i let my PC recognize the phone? I used PDANet + There was this installation file called "Micromax A110_Drivers_x86". I used it too but no use.. My phone won't be recognized.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI use Qmobile A10. i rooted it long ago and it's working. I used font installer (root required) and used a font.. rebooted then it worked. When i opened my phone, i installed another font after that uninstalling font installer. Then it asked me to reboot.. Then it kept showing this logo for qmobile a10 when opening the phone. Awkwardly, it didn't start for a very very long time.. I left it open for 4 hours, then 1 day. Then a day and a half. I though that i should probably connect the phone to my PC and take out the new font. But it's not showing on "My Computer".
Any cool games that suits qmobile a10?*

I would like to incorporate a different kernel when I compile and instead of the stock. I know I could compile them separately and have them flash together but I want one zip to flash. Just would like to go through the process to learn.
what I have to do when compiling?'

I am trying to get the images to have transparent backgrounds so the map is not blocked by a square marker with an image in it. What image editor and what settings should I use to get this to work?
I am trying to do some custom backgrounds for buttons and the same problem comes up: I get square corners and a background that does not scale with the buttons.
I think this all part of the same problem: I am not using the right tool with the right settings to create the images. I must be misinterpreting the documentation and examples that talk about a white border around the image and a black line along the top and left side for the expandable button background.
Here's a quick way to reproduce the problem:
Follow the directions to create the MapView program as described on:
http://developer.android.com/resources/tutorials/views/hello-mapview.html
For the icon I first used the image copied from the page:
Next I edited the picture in Microsoft Paint, and cut off the little guy's antennae. I'm not cruel and no real androids were harmed in that experiment. I surrounded the new picture with a pixel thick border of white, copied from the border that was around the rest of the image, and then copied the black that was there as well in the void areas of the image, outside the border.
I saved the image as myandroid.png and copied the file to the layout folder. Pointed the activity to the new pic and ran the program.
The image was displayed with a full square background and shadow, not the android shaped image and shadow that was there when the original image was used.
Custom Button background:
Follow the directions for the Relative Layout example at:
[url]
Next, I created an image to expand as a background for the button called backbutton.png. It too is surrounded by a white border and black filled on the corners, the top and one side per documentation I found in "Android Programming Tutorials" on page 298.
The background does not expand, nor do the corners round.
I wish I could show you screenies of what I have.
How do you create the images for the custom backgrounds and the images for the custom map markers and buttons? I need to know what image editor to use and the file attributes to set, so the images expand and display with the proper void spaces in them.
Is there a way to put custom pins on the map? I went hiking and found interesting things on the way so i thought lets mark this on the map for future reference... But i couldn't Also several important places in town aren't in the map...
