Any way to map on screen bluestack keys to the pc's physical keyboard?
I know it's a long shot, but does an app even exist on android or windows that can do that?

I'd like to remap some of the keys on the PHYSICAL keyboard. For example, I've never inserted a smiley in a message and don't intend to start now, so remaping the dedicated smiley key to something useful would be productive.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter successfully rooting my phone, after my reboot i noticed that the bottom row of touch sensitive keys and the physical keyboard do not light up when touch or slid open. to fix this i have to go to the brightness setting and uncheck and check automatic brightness again?
is this common? did i make an oopsie?
A lot of Flash games use the arrow keys. If the d-pad is hardware mapped as such, a lot of games will work fine with 10.1.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with my keyboard that only seems to have started since I installed the Hero firmware update (which has sped up the phone considerably).
When I first got the phone I was really impressed by the Keyboard and the speed at which I could type. But since the update it is really slow and keys on the right edge of the screen (especially delete) don't register at all sometimes.
I have calibrated the keyboard but it doesn't seem to make any difference.
In Jelly Bean when using a bluetooth or usb keyboard (certain mice and scanners also) force the on screen keyboard off.
Then anyone can choose to turn off the physical keyboard (or whatever device) by going into the input method option (also known as Input and Language) in settings and selecting the OFF option and upon doing so the keyboard (or whatever device) still works and now the on screen keyboard works also. (very simple)
The option to turn ON or OFF the physical keyboard is not present in the input method selector screen unless a physical device is attached via usb or bluetooth.
How can one do this from a terminal window or using a shell command.
I would like to automate this silly feature via Tasker or Locale but can not do so until I know the console command.
I know how to switch IME devices from the command shell or with the Secure Settings plugin but when a physical device is connected it does not show using the shell command IME LIST. Only virtual keyboards are listed, not physical devices.
The keys work fine, but certain ones make a clicky or crackly sound (typically after not been used for a moment, then they're fine after being pushed). There is also a strange feeling to them to go along with the sound.

In the physical keyboard settings you can turn on these three options: Auto-replace, auto-capitalization, and insert a period after double-spacing with the space bar key.
If all three are turned on, they all work, as you would expect. However, if ONLY the double-space/period one is turned on -- which is what I desire -- then it does NOT work.
What is causing this glitch and how can I fix it?

well, after some more digging, i think i won't need to make a KCM. Still i can't find a way to let my Keyb to use my keyboardlayout. According to catalog it still uses the generic.kl even if in the right directory a file with the keyboard name exists...
I am searching for an on screen keyboard, where you can select keys by using the arrow keys of an IR remote.
The device I am using is an Android HDMI Stick (ICS 4.0.4) which has no touch screen obviously.
So recently, I found a flashable zip for a stock LG keyboard. I do have a problem though, when I use the keyboard, I have an annoying and useless T9 button and I want to move/resize some buttons.
Would it be possible to modify the apk from the zip to achieve what I am trying to go at? I prefer this keyboard than any other keyboard because this is the closest to the LG P690 stock keyboard in terms of speed I could find to the original, and this is what I'm accustomed to.
What I'm trying to achieve is:
1.) I want to remove the T9 button, settings button and comma on the first layout.
2.) Move the comma into the symbol layout and move the keys according to the sample layout.
3.) I also need to let the spacebar fill the space the removed buttons used to take up.
If it was possible to use my physical keyboard to type, and have the android emulator simulate it as if it were a touch (specifically- the button highlights, and letter overlay)

When i try to turn on the tabletI get a blue screen that asks to reboot and a series of requests to update in Various ways. When I reboot it comes on and is glitchy. It turns on in safe mode. When I check out the requests I get a Scary green screen with a lot of writing and symbols I don't understand. Also I can't get the information for the nook that on the tablet, it won't open. Very much. not a skilled user of this new technology stuff. Of age to remember as an adult getting my first computer with no Internet
View 6 Replies View RelatedI dropped my phone that created a crack (a new crack stemming from an older one which gave me no problems) which lead to me not being able to use the very bottom of my screen (really just the space bar area). The crack was slightly above said area. Then this "blue ink" smudge began forming and took over the bottom 1/4 inch of the screen. When I woke up the next morning, the only portion of the screen still visible was the middle third, as the top and bottom were now dark blue. By the end of my shift that morning, the screen was completely black. I have heard a screen replacement may be all I need, but I am worried that the digitizer (I hope I'm using the right terminology, referring to the touch screen capability of the phone) may have been damaged as again I could not use the bottom part of my screen.

I am really interested in this phone but I am hesitant because it only has the virtual keyboard. I have had the storm and also the lg dare and sold them because I just couldn't get used to not having a physical keyboard. Now, I had got a problem with my device once when I restarted it. My phone just showed me the splashimage for about 2-3 mins and showed a blue screen, which just stuck to it. I removed its battery & restarted it, but it just booted up the same blue screen again.
I solved it by restoring my system.img by my previous nandroid backup. But still, I'm curious to know why and how the blue screen appears.

So i was wondering with the incredible not having a physical keyboard how will games and apps that use it hold up? Like Sinusoid or something along those lines. I mean. how will games and apps that need key's hold up? only virtual? I'm pretty much set on the incredible other than this.

My wife is trying to decide between getting a Droid herself or a Nexus. I know there are good reasons for and against, but this feature seems to be the fork in the road for her right now.

I understand some might say motorola's offering is the better of the two but personally, I can't get used to the physical keyboard.
