Nov 17, 2010I bought a Augen mini netbook that running Windows CE 248 mhz processor. It runs horrible, can I load Andoid on this thing? If so, any advice on how I would accomplish this?

Nov 15, 2010I am not able to copy the photos from mobile to my computer.I have tried reinstalling the PC Companion suite and also have updated to mobile to Android version 2.0.The folder where the photos reside in the mobile is not coming up in the Phone Card Memory,Can any one helpe to sort out this issue? Or Is there ant seetings option which I am overlooking?

Jun 13, 2010I have a Thinkpad Laptop running XP Pro. I haven't been able to load the HTC Sync application.
I have downloaded the current version HTC_Sync_2.0.33.
Here is what happens:
Language message opens, selected english
Preparing to install window box opens. Starts decompressing HTC PC Suite.msi.
Then the installation stops and I get a Windows installer message window. It lists all of the install and display options. Clicking OK at the bottom stops the install.
I have all of the windows updates. Any ideas what setting on my laptop is crashing the install? I have loaded it successfully on other computers.

Sep 21, 2010I got an X10 mini pro. It feels great. I tried Internet access but I don't know how I get that without using my telephony operator (and being charged for every byte transferred).
I have internet connection home on my computer. I thought connecting my X10 mini pro to my computer through USB would be enough to have free internet and download from Android Market among other things. However, it doesn't work like that. I tried to activate "Airplane mode" so as to cut off al wireless connections and use USB "forcing" my X10 mini pro to look for th internet that way but it does not have internet access through USB connection with my computer (Internet works great on my computer).

I am not able to drag down the notification area when I am holding the mobile in portrait mode.

Ideally, when one switches on the tablet this app should be loaded perhaps during startup and the user need not step out of this app. The app logic itself is rather easy but I am wondering if it is at all possible to load a single app during load and not allowing the user to step out of it.

In my app, I have various types of data like Person, Company, City, etc; The requirement is to dynamically load the layout, find views by tags (property names like Person.name, Person.address) and then fill in data. For example, if user has selected an object of type Company, we want to load a company.xml layout, inflate it and then associate various properties (company name, company slogan, city, address, revenue) to tagged views. One possibility I see here is - each view in the layout will be associated with property-name as tag and then appropriate data will be loaded in appropriate views.
What should be the best design you would recommend?

Nov 15, 2010I received my new x10 mini phone a few days ago and am really impressed by it.
But...
After the phone has been off, the camera works fine the first time I start it.
And if I close the camera application and start it again straight away it also works fine.
But if I wait for maybe half an hour or more and then open the camera application, the phone reboots itself.
This is very repeatable and it looks like there's something wrong in the software or so.

Aug 12, 2010I had a Toshiba laptop which after years I sold it off. I am never a big fan of laptops in the first place as my desktop is better, faster and I use multiple screens as work computer. As far as I can tell I only need a portable computing device mainly for office programs like microsoft word and powerpoint, and data storage. I use photoshop but I don't think current smartphones can support it yet. I am reluctant to get a laptop as I know that it will be underutilised. Since my contract phone runs out in June 2011, should I wait for better stuff to come or get a smartphone now? What I really want is a a mobile phone with Sony Vaio P series minature laptop for occasional work. Am I asking too much for the current crop of smartphones?

Tried in different emulator resolutions and the result is the same.My laptop has 2 cores with HyperThreading. And it shows as 4 CPU in Device Manager.
