Android :: Map Doesn't Show Real Map In Background
Nov 14, 2010I have map in my android app. On emulator is everything OK. But on device (Motorola Droid) the map shows marker but doesn't show real map in background!! The connection is OK and I held the INTERNET permission in my manifest. What is causing this problem? Any idea?

Nov 8, 2010I have map in m android app but it doesn't work well. I spent last two hours looking in code line by line but I don't know what is the problem.I set in manifest uses google maps. Map shows marker, doesn't show map ( instead in background is grid lines), zoom controls disappear after few seconds and not come back. What can be a problem ?

Oct 16, 2010Here is a couple screens from my EVO. When it warns you to plug in the phone it also has a button to check usage that is built into the phone. Wish somone could build an app directly to this. As the battery was draining (almost dead) I left this screen up (waiting for it to die) total of 13hrs and 20+ min. It does not use any battery to check this. Look at how long it has been unplugged. The BT, Sprint Nav and Beautiful widgets never get killed by my task killer because these are a must for my job. I am a Professional Driver of 21 years and these are needed.

Mar 26, 2010When hitting battery usage, would the LWP show up under display? I loaded in a new LWP from the market and checked battery usage and display was off the chart % wise compared to my normal use. And that was with some pretty decent phone activity. I disabled the LWP to check, but does anyone know if it will show here? Or anywhere?

I went to the google play website and I used to be able to see all my devices individually and see what apps were installed on each device and all the apps in my library. It made it easy to add apps to a new device. Now I just see all the apps installed but not broken down by device, so I have to click on each individual app to see on which device they are installed. It is a more convoluted process, and I would like to see on the website at a glance which apps are installed on each device I own. Did something change or something I am missing? I also can't log in do the device manager with Chrome but I can with Safari. Mac OS X10.8, Android 4.1

Dec 1, 2009I don't know if it's my phone or what but when I look up the Other Usage on my phone, it shows it "Running" more than 2/3 of the time.And on Network Usage, "Android System" and "Media" use a great deal of the phone as well.I think this might have to do with my "android.process.acore" crashing every once in a while when it's asleep. Based on everyone's feedback I might have to return the Moment for a third time.

Nov 1, 2009I am developing my am on mac (10.5.8), on eclipse and SDK 1.6 and a Vodafone HTC Magic Everything was working ok up to a few days ago. I can not see my device on adb devices. I also got a Sony Xperia and I can not see it on the list either. I upgraded the phone software (the HTC) to 1.6 a few days ago. Maybe that is what caused the change, but I could not be sure.

Jun 10, 2010I know I'm not the only person that gets emails with embedded html or inlined images via google mail. When I get emails like this, I have to click on "Show HTML" or "Show Picture" every single time an email comes in if I actually want to see the email the way it was intended to be shown. I know for a fact that iphones and other email readers dont have any issues with this. Is there a setting to automatically display the email the way it was meant to be shown instead of having to click these buttons each time I want to view the email correctly? Or, perhaps there's already a market app that forces the android email client to display emails correctly?

Sep 17, 2010I have gotten to to the point where I need to test my application on a real Android device. I have obtained an Motorola Droid phone and attached it to my computer (Windows).I have installed the USB driver, and I believe that my computer can see the phone. When I start up the DDMS it shows my device as 'Online'. I cannot, however, figure out how to get the debugger to use the device instead of the emulator. The Android documentation states that when I run my program from within Eclipse that I should be presented with a 'Device Chooser', but that does not happen. I read somewhere else that pressing F11 will bring up the Device Chooser, but it only runs the application on the emulator. I know there is probably something obvious that I am missing here, but I cannot figure out what it is.

Jul 28, 2010After a round of hassle (many thanks to sontaikle), finally i managed to do some screen capture from my Android but right now I am thinking about this. Is there any way I can do a REAL TIME phone simulation on my PC. Its alike TV output from phone to projector (Galaxy S can do that) but I have other Android which have no TV output function from the phone, so I wonder if I connect the phone to PC and get the real time screen output (few second lagging is ok for me as well) to PC than I can project it out via projector during discussion, presentation.
