I just unlocked/rooted/installed Cyanogen on my Motorola Atrix. I'm looking for a theme that will make menus black-on-white instead of the default white-on-black. The closest that I've found is the JAMT White theme, but the settings screen is still all white-on-black, even in the paid version.
View 1 Replies View RelatedToday I noticed that my Incredible has some dead pixels. They are always discolored and it is especially noticeable when the background is white. I bought this phone at a cellular store and not a corporate Verizon Wireless. Can I still bring it to Verizon for a replacement? Is it covered under warranty?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWent into the mall where I work this morning, there's a verizon kiosk right outside my store. Pick up an Incredible. Start driving home while playing with it. At a red light I notice a bright green pixel over an orange area of my wallpaper. Indeed it was there throughout any application I used. When I loaded up the browser and went to "about:blank" (which loads a fully white screen) I was able to see it there also.
Bummer. I live 14 miles from where I work, and where I picked up this Incredible. So I head over to another Verizon store closer to where I live. I show the agent, and he agrees and we swap it. Next phone... dust under the screen, 3 particles, right out of the box!
Once more another replacement. This time a red bright pixel around the same area (lower left quadrant of the screen) as the first phone! 4th phone into it, finally no issues.
Has anyone else gotten dead/ bright pixels in their AMOLED displays? Open your browser and enter this address in. about:blank, just like that. look hard, tell me what ya find. Took me four phones to get a good one. Hope everyone else here doesn't have to go through the same.
I recently dropped my evo for the 2nd time. 1st time no noticeable damage. 2nd time (it has a Seido Inocase II) at the bottom of the screen a large ironic smile appeared all in green and black dead pixels. I have insurance, but its pretty pricy to replace this right now I also noticed 2 weeks into this phone (which is a replacement for my first 30 day phone) that I have dust under the screen (same reason I replaced the first at RadioShack) in the top left corner. Do I have grounds for a manufacturing defect from HTC? Or am I completely boned into paying the 100? Please anyone with insurance and/or HTC defect experience let me know!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought 2 Epics last night was so excited! I like the phone except for a couple of things that i have noticed one of them being the wobble oreo effect that I seem to have on both phones and I just noticed I have dead pixels on both phones! I am so disappointed and don't know what to do? The pixels are one to two tiny black specks that can be seen on light background screen colors.

<solid android:color="#FFF"/>

<LinearLayout

Why the line is black instead white? I have tried putting it inside a ImageView but the result is the same.
How can i set the opacity of the shape?
I have the beautiful weather widget on my home screen with the clock... Now I want the clock color to go from white to black, but for some reason it stays white even when I change font color to black in the appearance panel. I don't want to change skins as I like this particular clock.. Anyway to do this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a custom list view and I want the background of the list to be white, so I do something like this which works great.
CODE:............
The problem is when you scroll the list the background of all the list items changes to black, which looks horrible.
I tried in my list view setting the background color to white. When I inflate the view I also tried setting the background color to white:
view.setBackgroundColor(Color.WHITE);
Both of these fix the problem of the scrolling background color, but now the item doesn't appear to be clickable even though it is. What I mean by that is the onClick still works fine, but the background doesn't flash to orange to let the user know he clicked it.
How can I have a white background in a list view, that stays white while scrolling, and does the normal list acitvity orange click background?
I want to convert my image to black and white. As well i want to apply different image manipulations operations like brightness, contrast etc.. Can anyone tell me how to achieve this functionality?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've determined an estimate of the size of my Android emulator's screen in pixels, although I think its resolution can be changed to other numbers. Quite frankly though that doesn't eliminate the general problem of not knowing how many pixels on each axis I have to work with on my Android applications in general.The main problem I'm trying to solve is this: How do I make sure I don't use a faulty resolution on Android applications if I want to keep things' sizes constant (so that if the application screen shrinks, for instances, objects will still show up just as big - there just won't be as many of them being shown) if I wish to do this with a single universal resolution for each program? Failing that, how do I make sure everything's alright if I try to do everything the same way with maybe a few different pre-set resolutions?
Mainly it seems like a relevant question that must be answered before I can come across a complete answer for the general problem is how big can I always make my application in pixels, NOT regarding if and when a user resizes the application's screen to something smaller than the maximum size permitted by the phone and its operating system.I really want to try to keep this simple. If I were doing this for a modern desktop, for instance, I know that if I design the application with a 800x600 canvas, the user can still shrink the application to the point they're not doing themselves any favors, but at least I can basically count on it working right and not being too big for the monitor or something. Is there such a magic resolution for Android, assuming that I'm designing for API levels 3+ (Android 1.5+)?
The default progress wheel on Android doesn't display well when the background is white, it's barely visible. How can I fix this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWell I managed to get my hands on an X from my local VZW store this morning. First impression of the screen is that it is very washed out when compared to my old Droid. Side by side, the original Droid shows colors very vividly while the Droid X almost looks like it just made it past black and white. Just wanted to get some opinions on the screen from others. I also managed to play with a Samsung Vibrant at a T-mobile store and it was very beautiful, almost makes me want to return the X and wait for the fascinate to come out on VZW.

Sorry for the quality. I have no idea what has caused this. I left the battery out over night and it still does it. I can still hear notifications and what not just cant see anything. The phone is less than a month old. I have never dropped it or anything. Its flawless, not a scratch on it. It seems like every time i get a new phone something odd like this happens to it. I also have been hearing alot of android phones have been causing ppl problems. I believe i can get it fixed through warranty. Has anyone have a clue what caused this? is it a hardware or software issue?

Verizon just sent me my new Eris after mine decided to stop connecting to google. Maybe I never noticed this before, or maybe it is a defect. But, if you go to an all white screen, do you see black pixels spread out evenly like a grid on your screen?

I've tried this option in the e-reader for reading and it makes a world of difference although its something to get used to a bit.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had my Android since February, and finding a calendar that works for me has been a big problem - so, I decided to join this forum.My problems are two-fold.
1 - I have a Samsung Moment, and the calendar is black with white letters. It is VERY hard to read. Is there a way to change the color?
2 - Entering events takes so long that I usually just write an appointment on a piece of paper and enter it through Outlook later.
Is there an app that anybody can think of that allows a user to enter an event just by touching the screen and typing? Like Palm or even Outlook allows? That is so easy. I've tried IRT Calendar, Jorte, and various widgets, but nothing makes entering events easier. They all fix my first problem - they make it easier to read.. I can't stand the process of adding "new event", then selecting the date, time, naming the event, etc.
last week i tried to root my HTC and all sudden the camera turned black and white.
so i reset the phone to the defult and i still have the same problem.and an application called " superuser " haven't been deleted.also the software version is 2.2, and i tried to update but i couldn't!

View 1 Replies View RelatedWasn't sure where to post this, because it is Epic specific with the AMOLED screen.Anyway, my e-mail is on Gmail, but the default white background / black text isn't friendly to the Epic display and battery life. Tried to find settings on the Epic, but there aren't any.

I don't know what else to do and also when I run the game raging thunder I get maybe 5 fps to the game. Can someone explain to me what is going on? Is it possible that my hardware on the phone is defective or maybe the update I got from samsung for the 2.1 is not gonna work with it?
