Trying to install ADT plugin, I get this error: "Cannot connect to keystore. This trust engine is read only." (Windows 7, Eclipse 3.5.2, Java 1.6.21) I tried using http and got the same error. The error message: "An error occurred while installing the items Cannot connect to key store. This trust engine is read only. String index out of range: 0 String index out of range: 0" I read this Eclipse FAQ but I am using the Sun JVM

I have got some problem trying to install ADT plugin for eclipse.I have download Android SDK, added the path to system variable $PATH
$ echo $PATH /usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/bin/X11:/usr/games:/home/ user/.android-sdk-linux_86/tools
In eclipse I have did exactly like in "Downloading the ADT Plugin" section "Eclipse 3.5 (Galileo)" , and it was finish succesfully, no error then, in "Configuring the ADT Plugin" section, I cant found "Android" from the left panel in Window > Preferences.

Anyone having issues with getting galileo eclipse for java working on Ubuntu with both subclipse and the android plugin?
I can get the android plugin working when subclipse is not installed in eclipse, but as soon as I install subclipse all the configuration options for android plugin disappears from eclipse.
The jar files for the android plugin are still in the ~/.eclipse/ org.eclipse.platform_3.5.0_1328626006/plugins directory.
I'm running the following version of ubuntu:
No LSB modules are available. Distributor ID: Ubuntu Description: Ubuntu 8.04.3 LTS Release: 8.04 Codename: hardy

I read the docs for installing android plugin for eclipse. I did it according to it and i have downloaded and installed the plugin but after that when i cliched on Windows-preferences i could not find Android in left panel. What could be wrong in it ?

In this section: Now modify your Eclipse preferences to point to the Android SDK directory:
1. Select Window > Preferences. to open the Preferences panel (Mac OS X: Eclipse > Preferences).
2. Select Android from the left panel.
3. For the SDK Location in the main panel, click Browse and locate your downloaded SDK directory.
4. Click Apply, then OK.
What does "locate your downloaded SDK directory" refer to? I can't find the directory or file on my PC that the Eclipse interface is referring to.

I have Eclipse 4.3 Kepler, running on Windows 7. I have tried installing it - Install New Software - Add... as instructed on the android page and other guides. I've seen the problem a few times online but I haven't found any solution. I get this error when I try to add the repository:
-Unable to read repository at URL....
-Unable to read repository at URL....
-Cannot assign requested address: JVM_Bind"
I tried installing the Google plugin first but got the same error..Other things I've tried:
-Changing the URL from https to http
-Running Eclipse as administrator
-Installing it through a zip archive (I get an error that one of the files wasn't there)
-Changing proxy settings to Native, Direct and Other

Before that, I was on CM 10.2 and GAPPS that comes with it, I was able to use the market even though I uninstalled the Google services apk, everything worked just fine. Maps sometimes said somethin' like "best experience with google services", but it actually did work smoothy...
Now I installed CM11 with new GAPPS, and when I disable Google services, then Play store tells me that it can't run without it, and just closes without letting me download any app.
Is there any way do bypass this check ? I fight any app running as a service when it's not needed (battery life, data consumsion, privacy), that's why I don't want to have the Google services on my phone.

I am very new to custom ROMs. I have just installed a custom ROM from Clockworkmod for my LG e970 4.0.4
After installing whenever I try to open Google Play Store it displays the message "unfortunately, google play store has stopped"
So I searched and tried deleting cache, deleting data for Play Storeand rebooting the phone. But those haven't worked for me.
I am thinking of Restoring the backup I took using CWM prior to the custom ROM.

I own a HTC One S (16GB) device, am running a custom rom (MaximusHD 10.0.1), Android 4.2.2, Htc Sense 5.0, rooted, TWRP 2.7 recovery, HBoot 2.16, Radio 1.20.50.05.16, Carrier is Tmobile, supercid 11111111 and bootloader unlocked. i recently installed maximusHD 10.0.0 everything works fine expect for the network connectivity, i can only make use of 2G (edge) signal but i can't switch to 3G only. Whenever i switch to 3G only my networks goes off but when i switch back to 2G it works perfectly.

My problem: Google Play Store AND several other app (e.g. RUA2) aren't able to connect to the internet.
What I did: Tried to clear cache, reinstall Play Store ect. did factory resets (yeah, I did it twice).
More Problems: - After a factory reset several Google services and apps crashes (e.g. Keep; there're multiple notifications), an error message appears: Google Calendar seems to malfunction.
I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy Nexus running Android 4.3.

whether the VisualLand Prestige Connect 7L can get the Google App Store, even though it comes vanilla with the (really, really bad) Amazon one. I've got it rooted, and tried to run the included Google Play install script. However, it seemed to be made specifically for Allwinner A10 tablets.
1. Will this Allwinner A10 script work with the VisualLand Prestige Connect 7L?
2. If not, is there another way I can get the Google Play appstore on my tablet?

I wanted to go to the play store on my tab to update an app I had but I couldn't connect to the store at all. So I went to the my account under the in the settings app and I saw that its been having some sync issues. I kept retrying the sync but it kept failing. So I deleted the account off of my tablet and tryed to log back in. Now it won't even log in and its telling me it can't establish a reliable connection to the server and takes me to the WiFi options in settings.
I dont know whats wrong. My internet works perfectly fine. I can surf the web, watch videos, download and even play apps that require an online connection on my tab but I can't use any Google services for some reason.

Anyone ever had this happen? Downloaded an update after the 2.1 upgrade and I sync'd my contacts with FB. It then deleted all of my contacts.So I deleted Facebook, re-stored all my contacts and reloaded Facebook. However, now it gets as far as installing and it never stops. It just stays on Installing.However, the FB app works fine on the phone itself.Is this a Market glitch? Is there anyway I can purge it from out of my downloads section?

I have tried to update the default youtube app on my nexus one (Froyo) numerous times. I get the message "Error Installing - Package file was not signed correctly". I am trying to upgrade from 1.6.21 to 2.0.26.I have tried unmounting my SD card, clearing the cache for the android market, the download manager and the original youtube app.

Tonight I was setting another album to offline in Spotify when it reported I ccouldn't save any more music. Bit puzzled seeing as i've got a 16gb SD card in there. Turns out Spotify is only using the internal SD card :S totally burnt out my 8gb already! I see no option in Spotify to select where to place the offline store, anyone else in the ssame 8gb boat?

I am new to this forum. Love my new incredible, I am long time user of Win CE(Motorola Q) Oh my my Was I stone ages. What A difference.....am getting to know my new toy. One thing I can't figure out is where dose the pictures get store to.(The Actual Directory) I did download ASTRO(Great Tool) but still am unable to hunt the actual store directory that the pics gets store to. Dose anybody know where this is. I also need to find out once I connect my phone to the PC how to get it off of the phone to my PC and or server. once I connect to PC all I see is the SD card and there isn't much in there.

I am using a laptop with Windows 7 Home Prem x64. I have installed Java JDK1.6.0_18 and Eclipse Gallileo. I have downloaded and installed the latest version of Android SDK with several Platforms loaded and a AVD defined. I can install the Android Eclipse plugin from the remote site stated in the instructions. The plugin installation performs without any errors and I can verify that the plugins are indeed installed. My problem begins when I go to Windows -> Preferences, there is no Android section to configure. And when I go to File -> New -> Project, there is no Android Project to choose. I have uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled at least 10 times, trying different things and still no luck. I originally had the 64 bit version of the JDK installed, but removed it and installed the 32 bit version. Is it because I am using Windows 7?

I'm sure I'm not the first one to say this, but for goodness sakes, we need a very good Android UI builder plugin for Eclipse or whatever other java tools developers are using. A nice toolbox docked on the side where I can drag and drop controls to the screen/form and then allow me to set the properties in the prop inspector and then create events, etc. I've got ideas for some business applications and I HATE having to deal with main.xml. Droid Draw is okay, but it is a far cry from having a good UI plugin.

I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 and installed Eclipse 3.5 (Galileo) for Java Developers along with the Android SDK. When I add the following URL into the "work With" field under Eclipse's Install New Software menu:

No plugins appear between the "Work With" and "Options" sections. I understand I'm supposed to be able to select "Developer Tools". I get nothing. I've tried linking to http vice https. Also, downloading the zip from the android dev site itself yields the same result. When I run "Check for Updates", it comes back saying nothing to update. I also ran "Test Connection" for the above URL and it comes back positive.
