Apr 29, 2010Today i tried to do something that i used to do back in my Alias 2 days (regular cellphone), but couldn't.
Can i record a simple voice message and send it via MMS? It was pretty simple to do with a cell phone...
I saw that the eris comes with a voice recorder, but i recorded a message and was not able to send it.
Any ideas?
Also, when sending pictures via MMS, it always resizes them and obviously the person receiving doesn't get the same quality. I realize that sending via Gmail doesn't resize, but i send to other cell phones a lot.
I'm thinking the only fix is lowering the camera resolution? I think that lowering the resolution is still better than having it resized for the message. Has anyone tried lowering the resolution to a point that the picture does not need to be resized for MMS?
Same thing for Video messages.. can't even send them. Not sure if it's HAndcent, or the file is just to big

Jun 29, 2010Is there any app to record phone conversation on the fly. I searched some threads but didnt find anything that was popular. I tried "All Call Record" but its a crappy app. I could hardly hear anything and even after uninstalling the app, th voice quality was bad. Had to reboot the phone.
I need something where I can select what part of the conversation to record. Say somebody is giving directions/phone numbers. Instead of fumbling for a pen to jot it down, I can just start recording and then turn it off when required so the file size is small.

May 28, 2010I am a radio broadcaster and often find myself in situations where I want to do an over-the-phone interview when not in my studio. Does anyone know an app for a Droid Eris that would be similar to the "record" app on the Iphone?
I need it to allow me to record the interviewee's answers in broadcast quality to air on the radio.
There are no worries about the legalities here, as all parties are always aware that we are interviewing them and what we intend to do with the audio.

I am trying to record audio when i call someone and when someone calls me.I am using phonestatelisteners and i am able to record audio from outside (my voice) when i call someone. however when somebody calls me it doesn't record my voice at all .
I am trying to record my voice. Even if somebody calls me. But it works only in one direction :( If i call it records my voice if somebody calls it doesn't record my voice. Do you know if this is possible ?

I think there should be some message broadcast receiver invoked when a call is accepted and application should be started in background and record the conversation. One more thing if I want to send the recorded file to a server through GPRS then is there any limit in size for it to get transfer through GPRS? Small files will be transferred easily through GPRS but what about larger files? Is there any upper limit as to files of this much size can be transferred.

All was well until the last update, where version 3.6.0 was corrupted in the Android Market. I have spoken to the developer by email and the problem has been fixed now. However, whenever I try to download now, the download fails, and Market FC's when I cancel the download. I have managed to find an old version I had backed up, but I am now stuck at v2.7.3. Feb 17, 2010I'm a developer looking to create an Android application to record phone calls. This spawned out of my own personal need to record phone calls for my own purposes and for my records. Is it possible to do this? Is it possible to get access to the microphone and what's coming through the speaker? I'm kind of new to Android development, so bear with me :) I assume that I could probably record into WAV and then at the end of the call, transcode it into MP3 using LAME or something. This may kill the battery, but this seems like a good project for me to get used to Android with. I'm looking to use Android 2.X.
