Android :: How To Download Purchased Apps On New Phone?

Apr 8, 2010

I currently have the motorola droid with Verizon, and will be moving out of the country soonish. I have decided I want to buy an unlocked milestone because where I'm going they use GSM. My question is this: are my purchases in the android store somehow linked to my phone, or linked to my phone number, or linked to my google account? When I switch android phones, will I be able to download my purchased apps on the new phone?

Samsung Vibrant :: Want To Prepare Phone To Be Returned To Tmobile / Fix It?

Sep 21, 2010

I've been having an issue with my headphone jack and finally called into Tmobile tech support.
They are going to be sending a replacement phone, so I would like some help on how I can get my current phone ready to be sent back to them.

Currently it is rooted stock 2.1 and has ryanza lag fix applied.
Most of my files are on the SD.

I know I need to unroot, how would I proceed to do that and would unrooting get rid of the lag fix?

HTC Incredible :: Getting Purchased Apps Onto New Phone

May 25, 2010

So I searched for this but the answers don't make sense. I purchased some apps for the Inc like Doodle jumper and now in 2 weeks I am getting a new phone because mine reboots all the time, So my question is, How do I easily re-install the apps I purchased? The answers keep saying once you log into your google account the phone will know but it doesn't, I tried it on my buddies Inc just to test and it still makes me put in CC info to get D.J. on that phone so i am worried I will have to re purchase any apps when the new one arrives. I tried to backup the apps but I cannot find the purchased ones in the private area unless it is rooted (according to forums)

Android :: App Stuck At Authorizing Purchase - Can't Refund

Jul 16, 2010

I bought Homerun Derby 3D yesterday night (A game I know, but I don't think it matters if it's a game or an app), and it's been stuck at "Authorizing Purchase" even until now. My card has been charged 5 bucks, and I can't refund it because I get an error every time I try to.

I have a Stock Froyo N1. I've had the demo for a long time so I don't know why it's not letting me compete the purchase. How do i go about either completing the purchase or refunding? I'm stuck in an endless loop here and out 5 bucks.

I went to the devs website and they say it's up to Google to deal with purchase problems.

Android :: Full Refund Product - 24 / 48 Hours?

Mar 10, 2010

In December, there were new terms for the Market. A big note was "You authorize Google to give the buyer a full refund of the Product price if the buyer requests the refund within 48 hours after purchase." It still seems that all references to the refund policy still state 24 hours. http://market.android.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=134336. So is it 48 or 24 hours officially? Is the 48 hours in the agreement just because the 24 hours never seemed to be a hard deadline. I noticed users refunding around 30 hours in the past.

HTC Incredible :: Returned My New Phone To Wait For Incredible / Support Group

Apr 26, 2010

I bought an Eris on the 28th, but returned it sunday within the 30 day grace period to wait for the incredible. And its killing me xD.I had to switch back to my winmo 6.1 HTC vx6900, and switching back from android is rough. Truly, it is a day to day struggle that we must cope with one step at a time. Tasks that used to be so simple, like editing a contact or sending a text, are now unwieldy by comparison.Who else here has had to do this? Am I alone in having to deal with this?

Android :: No Value Being Returned With Ksoap Calling Web Service

Jun 3, 2010

I have a .Net Web Service which returns a single integer value. When i call upon it from my application, no value is returned. Nothing at all really happens. I set up breakpoints and watched it's progress and it seems the problem is coming from when i get to this line:androidHttpTransport.call(SOAP_ACTION, envelope);
I have a hunch that my URL string is the problem. I've tried replacing the "localhost" in my URL string with my local and network ip with no luck. Whenever i replace the localhost with the ip in my browser i get Server Cannot Access or Unable to Connect pages. Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

How can i check if the returned location is reliable? I tried it with getAccurracy(), but this function even returns a accurracy although no gps fix is availavle (anymore). Is there a possibility to get gps dop values? Used SDK is 1.6.

Android :: LiveFolders Cursor-returned Intent Not Working

Apr 15, 2010

I'm trying to get a LiveFolder implementation working, but I can't seem to be able to. I'm able to create the ContentProvider and the items show up nicely. However, I can't seem to be able to return a proper Intent in the Cursor from my ContentProvider to launch my activity.

Relevant bits of my code:

CODE:.................

From the provider (this is how I create the Intent I pass in the LiveFolders.INTENT column):

CODE:...................

When I click on an item I get an "Application not installed on your phone" error. Logcat says:

CODE:..................

Basically, for some reason, the Intent I return in the cursor is passed as the data of the actual intent that it tries to fire, which has a VIEW action. Why is this happening?

Android :: What Is Meaning Of Boolean Value Returned From Event Handling Method

Sep 20, 2010

In android, most event listener methods return a boolean value. What is that true/false value mean ? what will it result in to the subsequence events ?class MyTouchListener implements OnTouchListener {@Override public boolean onTouch(View v, MotionEvent event) {logView.showEvent(event);return true;}Regarding to the above example, if return true in onTouch method,I found every touch event(DOWN,UP,MOVE,etc) has been captured according to my logView. On the contrary,if return false, onely the DOWN event been captured. So it's seemd that return false will prevent the event to propagate. Am I correct ?Furthermore, in a OnGestureListener, many methods have to return a boolean value too. Do they have the same meaning ?
