Aug 9, 2010I am using Eclipse and had downloaded all necessary updates. Unfortunately, I am unable to create a new project.Under the New>Projects option I am unable to select New Android Project. It is missing from the list (please refer to the print screen).I am not sure if I correctly installed the Android SDK. Or I missed out some steps during the installation.I'm new to Android so I would appreciate it if someone could help me on this matter.

there is an answer given here but i am not satisfied with it bcz when we use Google_API 3 then we will not get errors but my application is not present there in the simulator.There is a application Google Maps which is predefined in it. Jul 10, 2010I have an android project that uses the xmlrpc library. I downloaded the xmlrpc library and imported into my eclipse workspace. I then added it to the build path in my android project and use it. When I go to run in the emulator, I get this error: "Installation error: INSTALL_FAILED_MISSING_SHARED_LIBRARY". Are the xmlrpc classes not being packaged into my android project?

Apr 3, 2009I've been working with my Eclipse/ADT Android project for weeks now, and all of a sudden, for no reason that I can determine, I have started getting this error whenever I try to run my app:
Installation error: INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_NO_CERTIFICATES
The only further clue found in logcat is this:

But, what I haven't found is a workaround. Here's what I have tried so far: emulator -wipe-data rm -rf ~/.android installing using adb (same error code) rebooting my dev machine restoring my source code to a known good state (from source control) deleting my eclipse project and rebuilding it with known good source
The only thing left I can think of is re-installing ADT, and then re- installing Eclipse. Anybody know another workaround before I resort to that?

And folowing all steps like they say to update with his tool new firmware.

I have gone through the previous thread on this error, And I have already tried following suggestion : 1. Add maps.jar with Google API 2. and also mention the <uses-library> attribute in manifest file.
But still I am unable to launch the activity, in logcat it is showing that package <package name> requires unavailable shared library com.google.android.maps ; Ignoring.

Feb 3, 2010I am trying to get my environment setup to develop an android app so I downloaded the SDK(http://developer.android.com/sdk/installing.html). After unpacking the files and running the SDK Setup.exe, the Android SDK and AVD manager opens up.
During the installation process, I got an error stating the following: Failed to fetch URL https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/repository.xml, reason: HTTPS SSL error. You might want to force download through HTTP in the settings.
So then I proceed to the SETTINGS tab and activated the check box which states: Force https://... sources to be fetched using http://
Then click save and apply. A box flashes on screen, which appears to be the previous box which showed the error, except this time, the progress bar races from 0 to 100% in about a second and then disappears. So clicking the FORCE option seemed to have worked for that issue.
Now, I click on the AVAILABLE PACKAGES tab which is where the Android manager actually downloads all the available resources including every "SDK Platform Android Vx.x" and every "Google API by Google Inc., API x, revision x"
There are green check marks in every check box indicating that I need to download every update.
SO I click INSTALL SELECTED.
The confirmation page comes up. Again, I click INSTALL ACCEPTED.
The INSTALLATION ARCHIVES box pops up and this is where I get stuck. I receive the following errors and I'm not sure what to do from here..

I did some googling on "No buffer space available (maximum connections reached?)" and apparently it is a socket issue that typically occurs when a database query is called and there are a large number of TCP connections.
But beyond that I'm completely stuck. Can't find anything on my issue relating to Android SDK installation and I don't really know where to turn to continue with the SDK installation.

Aug 18, 2013I've tried to root my Samsung Galaxy Y Pro GT-B5510 using a number of different update.zip files recommended on various sites and forums, but I always encounter the same problem.
The instructions are the same everywhere, and I follow them to the letter: I transfer the file into the root directory of my SD card via USB cable, then disconnect and switch off my phone. I then get into recovery mode (after several attempts) using the Volume-Up, Home and Power buttons. I press Volume-Down to navigate the red menu and then Home to select "apply update from sdcard". I select update.zip, and a stream of cyan text rushes up my screen until it hits a snag...
The red menu reappears, followed by cyan text reading:
.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
Although the previous mountain of text rushes up the screen too fast to read, I am sometimes able to catch a glimpse of what seems to be the main indicator of the problem:
Error in tmp/sideload/package.zip
As I said, this happens with multiple versions of update.zip that I've found. What could be causing it?
Android :: Appbrain 500 - Error Server Error The Server Encountered An Error And Could Not Complete Your Request
May 5, 2010Using appbrain on my PC seems to work fine when I'm not logged in. When I do log in and try to click on an app I get this error message:
"Error: Server Error The server encountered an error and could not complete your request. If the problem persists, please report your problem and mention this error message and the query that caused it."
Anyone else have this issue when using Appbrain on their pc?
Well, It looks like I solved the problem. I just deleted my account and created it again and it's fixed (for now).
