Android :: Display RadioGroup's Items In Table Like Form

Sep 2, 2010

I'm trying to place a set of Checkboxes within the same RadioGroup in a tabular fashion.I tried to have a couple of TableRow objects within the RadioGroup, but that removes the "group behaviour" and allows more than one Checkbox can be selected at the same time.I am able to put all the items on a single line (by setting the RadioGroup's "orientation" to "horizontal") but not in a grid like style.

Nov 22, 2009

I'm having a little difficulties while trying to get a certain layout to work: I want to have list. List does not have to be scrollable, but should be shown completely. But the page itself should be able to scroll (with the lists in it), if the total content ist higher than the screen.

CODE:.................

It only uses a small part of the screen (about 2 lines per list), instead of filling the available height, and the lists themselves can be scrolled. How can I change the layout to always show the whole lists but have the screen be scrollalbe?

Android :: How To Display A Loading - Text While Retrieving Items For A ListView

There are some others applications doing this, like Twitter, Facebook, or even native applications such as Android Market. When you want to display a list of items retrieved from the internet, this looks like a standard way for displaying the user some notification about action in progress. This is a white background screen with an animated spinning wheel and a "Loading..." text. Does somebody know how to do this?. I've been able to do something similar with this code, but i don't like it too much yet.

Still work in progress:

Android :: Child Views Of Particular Table Row In Table Layout?

Jul 15, 2009

Here is my screen description: It is a TableLayout and it contains multiple Rows. I have set TableRow as clickable, as I want to go to next screen on click of a tableRow. Everything I am doing through Java programming (instead of XML layout, because number of TableRows changes each time) On next screen, I wanted to display all the views of that particular clicked TableRow. Here the problem i am facing is how to capture particular tableRow on onclick() even and how do I get all the textviews of that particular Row. I tried to set id at runtime, and tried to get id of view, but it's not working, giving error resourcenotfoundexception.

Android :: Adding Table Row By Inflating Does Not Take Table's Settings

Nov 4, 2010

I have a table layout with a few predefined rows in it. Each row has only two columns.

Now I need to dynamically add additional rows in it.

I have two problems:

1) When programmatically inflating, I cannot set the index of the newly created row (I want it in place 'n') 2) After inflation, the inserted (actually appended) row doesn't listen to parent table's stretch column property.

So here are my questions:

q1) Can I set the place where to insert the inflated row programatically ?

q2) Why doesn't the new row inflate properly (the second column is not shown because the first column doesn't contains a TextView with fill_parent.

In the end I need the first column to occupy 80% of the screen width, and the second column remaining 20%.

q3) is that doable with programmatic row insertions ?

Android :: Getting A RadioGroup To Redraw With Correct Button Checked

However the dataList can get updated from time to time and after that happens I call this code again, without destroying the Activity. After that, the view is redrawn but no button is checked. I suspect the RadioGroup checked-button bookkeeping is getting confused by the removeAllViews call. Any ideas what might be going wrong?
