On the Microsoft XNA forums there is a services wanted/offered recruitment section which is meant to help developers find artists / sound designers and vice versa. I can't seem to find something like this for Android. Does anyone know of a forum that has something like this? Other than just posting another Developer wanted topic on this group?

We am looking for a expert Android developer for Android application development. You must have documented experience in following areas:
- UI development - file handling - multimedia decoding - authentication
We already have our application running on other devices and can provide you with functioning models. We will provide you with a well documented API for you to interface to our servers. The UI will change a little compared to what we have now. You will have access to an experienced graphics designer for any necessary design changes.
We expect that you will sign an NDA and a contract with us. Compensation will be $20,000.00. Payment will occur as we launch the application. It will be based on a revenue share model where you will get 30% of the revenues up to a max of $20,000.00. We estimate you will reach the $20,000.00 mark within 2 months of application launch date. We are only looking for expert developers and you should be able to initiate the work within the next couple weeks. If succesful, we would be interested in extending additional work as the application evolves.
I am looking for the .jar file or an api where i can use and draw charts for my android application.i searched net about it couldn't find much results..Kindly help in it to find any chart api that can be for the android applications.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWell lately, I've been kinda going back and forth between these 2 phones, since I'm going to have to leave ATT regardless. It seems VZW is really dropping the ball on this phone, hasn't marketed it at all and the cheapest plan you can get for it is almost $90 per month. The Incredible forum is a joke, it doesn't get much more fanboy than them.
My point being in this post is, I am getting really anxious and wanted a new Android phone as soon as possible, and I wanted to just get the Incredible at the end of the month. Whats one more month right? I'm staying with the Evo, It's just far more superior in terms of the device and I'm glad I don't have to deal with so many morons in this forum.
I'm using LauncherPro and i wanted a clock and weather widget. so naturally i purchased Beautiful Widgets. When i put "Beautiful Smaller Home" on my home screen the weather only updates when I turn my phone off and then back on. I've gone into the settings and ensured that both Geolocation and Use GPS over Network were enabled. Any ideas why it isn't updating and/or is anyone else experiencing this same issue?

View 1 Replies View Relatedif you have plan to flash rom or restore factory data on phone and want to keep your nfs mw current track, you just need copy saved game data and restore after install game, this' method:
your phone need rooted for access system files by es file explorer or root explorer app, then go to '/data/data' folder, copy "com.ea.games.nfs13_na" folder and 4 files: mNFS.db, mNFS.db-journal, mNFSStatus.db, mNFSStatus.db-journal (or simple make a search 'nfs' and copy all, i don't know exactly which files game need but that' all fine for me). done. after install new game, open and play the first race, exit then you just need copy back all files and folder.
p.s. how to play without internet connection?! (game need internet connection for check update when it' start)

View 34 Replies View Relatedi love my phone, but the suggestions offered by predictive text drives me crazy sometimes! i would like to know how i change the order of the suggested words? for example, when i am using the t9 keyboard and i have predictive text on and i press #4 and #3 i am usually trying to type the word "if" or "he" but the word typed is "id" which is kinda stupid as this is a much less often used word. how do i change it this? when i was using a s60 device i could open a new message and keep typing the same word over and over again until it started giving me the word i wanted as my first option. please dont tell me to use the full keyboard as i prefer to use the phone keypad so i can text one-handed.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a music player app that Classifies the songs by ALBUM artist and no by "song artist". For example, if I have a song with an ID3 tag as follows:
Contributing Artist: A ft. B
Album Artist: A
Is there a music player that'll classify the song under artist A as opposed to under "A ft B"? I really don't want 50 entries in my artist list because of "featuring" song. Does anyone know if some music player app classifies songs this way? And having an equalizer would be a plus.
I have an Android application with a main activity that is the tabhost. I'm adding multiple tabs to the tabhost with an intent to several activities.
My problem is that these activities are not created (onCreate is not called) until I click on the tab. This is a problem because I need to register broadcastreceivers: there may be broadcasts that are sent -before- a particular tab is opened.
I tried to work around this by:
Setting my receivers as static and registering from somewhere else. This is not possible because I need to call into methods.
Calling into tabHost.setCurrentTabByTag(the_tag) and then switching back to my root tab. This only works sometimes and this is a very ugly solution imo.
Not using activities but just using views instead. Also not a very elegant solution because it turns my tabHost activity into one huge master class doing all kinds of unrelated things.
A question that might be a bit general/basic knowledge, but for me it has a quite direct background, so i'll form it as an example:
I have an activity "entry" showing something equivalent of a blogpost, that might have comments. You can click somewhere to open a "comments" activity. But in this activity there are links back to entries, creating a nice line of activities.
If I call the "entry" activity (with an intent) on a link to show this entry, am I re-using the old activity, or am I creating an endless string of entry, comment, entry, comment activities (pretty cost- ineffective that would be).

As far as I already found out the class MyActivity is instantiated when I select the tab, to which it is connected. Is there a way from my TabActivity to force the creation of all activities (all tabs) at once?
I use the following code to create a folder "mymir" and a file ".nomedia" (in the mymir-folder) on the sdcard of an android unit. However, somehow it fails with the exception that the folder the ".nomedia"-file is to be placed in dosn't exist.

logcat shows java.net.SocketException: permission denied <maybe missing INTERNET permission>
If I enable permission for my Activity(android.permission.INTERNET), my Activity constructor itself not called and logcat shows following info. Permission Denial: starting Intent < flg=0x10000000 cmp=com.example.client/.MyClientActivity > from null <pid=-1, uid=-1> requires android.permission.INTERNET.
Any suggestion on how to resolve this issue?
