Anyone know where the Hero is saving "draft" SMS? I had started writing a text message when an SMS came in ... I hit the back button and got an onscreen message that my SMS was "saved as a draft." Am using the HTC-supplied SMS app.

Why do I have to view my texts as conversations? I like to see them in the order they came in. Why do texts with picture and video attached not 'play'? Instead, they show up as having attachments (a song and a picture). Why can I not figure out how to save a draft? I typed a message but decided I was not ready to send. Had to "discard" and retype later.

ok, so last week, when i added a contact on my HERO it auto synced with my Google account and added that person to my list when I looked on my PC. Now it is adding them to the phone only and I can not find where the setting is to add them to my Gmail account,... any ideas anyone ?

I get the following error when trying to take pictures on my HTC Hero (Sprint) "Unable to save file to SD card due to insufficient file permissions" I have removed and replaced the card. It will work for about 15 minutes then the same error. I also backed up everything and formatted the card. It worked again for about 15 minutes then the same error.

If they are not stored locally, is there an app that does this? I have SMS Backup, but i want the MMS files to be local on my SD card and in an album as all other pics/vids.

For example, say I am on a website and I see a picture I like how do I save it to my phone? You can't click save as anywhere, can you? Is what I'm wanting to do called taking a screenshot? I know this 2.1 is out of control, I was just curious about the option of being able to save apps to the SD card on 2.1 or without rooting? It sucks having to decide which apps are least important.

When I use LauncherPro my home screen (and other screens) are not set up the way I currently have them. I spent a lot of time setting my current screens so they are exactly the way I want them. Any way to save that config when switching to LauncherPro? It does seem faster so I want to give it a shot, but I'm dreadig setting everything up again- widgets, apps, etc.
Is there any possible way to save my contact list to my laptop/PC and then upload it to my HTC Hero once I reset my phone to how I got it?

I've only been an Android/HTC Hero user for about a week now, and have a weird thing happening with my Hero. I've probably done something to cause this, but, I can't figure it out.
I have several contacts in my People list, and most of them have multiple phone numbers listed with them. When I choose People, and then say my sister, who has two mobile numbers, a work number and a home number, I get a small detailed card that pretty much fills the screen and allows me to choose a number to call mobile, call home, call work, then it says send message to each number, send email.
But, say when I choose my wife, I can only Call Other, Edit Contact, Delete Contact and Send Contact as vCard.
It didn't used to do this. It used to give me these choices for my wife too. My wife has a home number, a cell number, a truck number, I need to be able to text her cell, etc. Basically, I need the same options for her as I have for my sister.
I have the same issue with many of my contacts. I don't know what happened to cause this. Any help fixing this would be much appreciated. Hopefully, I won't have to do a master reset to do so!
Ok I can't find my draft box. I was going to send a text and i didn't finish it and it said it saved it in my draft in box.
Where is it? and how do I find it?

All the things I've learned have either been by accident or someone else showing me. Can someone tell me how to retrieve "draft" text messages? Yesterday I was interrupted while typing a message and saw a pop-up that it was saved to drafts, but I've looked everywhere and can't figure out how to find it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI should've known better than to update Handcent. It was working fine before. I just installed the latest update (been available for a while though) the other day, and ever since i'm unable to send MMS messages. Naturally, Handcent must resize the pics prior to me sending them, which is normal. But when it shows it's resizing, it goes back to the main messaging screen and "saves message as draft". Since Handcent doesn't have any option for drafts, i have to use the stock app to access drafts then send the message. If i've already got a convo open and attach a pic, it still saves as draft but is accessible from the main screen as usual.
I also noticed if i take a pic, or select a pic from the gallery then choose to share it via Handcent, it never opens Handcent and reverts back to the camera again. Anyone else having odd issues like this or know how to resolve it?
So; How do I delete a draft when I'm texting? Anybody knows...?
