Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: Can't Update Apps After Deleting Gmail
Nov 18, 2010
I created a gmail account when I got this phone purely because it asked me to (usually I use hotmail), then started a new job, where my boss said she uses gmail to communicate. Everytime I checked my gmail on the phone it woudn't tell me MY email address, (because, I shoulda known it) but I couldn't remember what it was, so I made a new gmail account, and started using it at work. I didn't want to have two accounts so when I found out what the original account was (in the phone). I went online on my computer and deleted the account, intending to replace it with the newer one. However since deleting the old email account, I can no longer update any apps, or buy any new apps. It continously asks for the old gmail's password, but won't accept it when I've entered it.
From yesterday, i am unable to install any new apps or update old apps from the market..when i press update/install it says update un successful and the app is also removed. any idea about this problem?
I have given up on trying to find the answer to this ridiculously basic question in the User Guide. (I must not be using the keywords that the user guide understands!) Can you advise me on how to delete multiple text messages at the same time, rather than deleting them individually? My phone is an X10 mini pro.
while in the process of setting up my phone, i created a gmail account, which i need so i can use market, etc. Just wondering if anyone knows how i can go about removing that gmail account. I spell my name wrong, so want to remove that email account and register a new one, but i can't find anywhere where i can delete it, it just keeps coming up to put my email in. I have deleted the incorrect gmail account on their website.
I have a mini pro...i had issues earlier as i didnt have an active data connection on my mini pro..but nw as i have it...not one inbuilt app is working! Facebook, gmail, gtalk, android market, youtube etc. dont work at all..Each of them gives an error that you dont have an active connection! All of the above does open via the normal browser on mini pro..but not through these builtin apps!
I have logged in Gmail in my phone when I bought it. Since then it is logged in. It is like my gmail can be accessed by anyone who has my mobile and mails downloaded can be viewed/opened offline. But I do not know "how to logout from my gmail account".
i am unable to creat gmail account in anroid market from my x10 mini pro. while installation it fails and show a message that "cannt establish a reliable data connection to the server." kindly advise how to rectify this?
After updating my phone to android 2.1, I'm unable to access my Gmail and other apps thru. WiFi. I have the WiFi symbol at the top which clearly shows that the WiFi is connected, but when I try to access Gmail, android market and other apps., it gives me message stating "no network connection".
I have a X10 mini. And when i try to update it I get the message "U phone already have the newest software" I live in Denmark, and my friend with same phone and tele company have no problem updating. What I'm I missing??
Not sure if this topic has been discussed before, but I've just purchased my X10 mini and tried updating the phone software but I'm receiving an error regarding my internet connection, even though my connection is fine. The download gets to near completion and then I receive an error message. I tried updating via PC Companion and the update available on the site (version 184.108.40.206) but the same problem occurs. What could be the reason for this?
This sunday (10/10/10) my X10 mini said an update was ready and I went forward at updated my phone (Firmware = 1.6, Core = 2.6.29, Version = 1.2.A.1.174). After this update the battery consumption is more than horrific. Even at standby the phone doesn't last more than 24 hours, this was NOT the case prior to the update. The phone itself and its functions works fine.
I've got a Mini Pro and the operator is T-Mobile. T-Mobile only approved the update yesterday so I went to update it via PCC after updating PCC and Backup And Restore. Before I started updating, I backed it up. Now I started the updating process and I was on step 2. It asks me to remove the USB cable from the phone and turn it off. Then insert the cable back in WHILE holding the Back key. When I do this, nothing happens except PCC tells me that they can sense a Sony Ericsson phone. I've tried doing it more than 5 times and it's the same thing over again.
I checked PCC earlier because other people had successfully updated to 2.1 but it said mine was fully up-to date when I had the phone connected. In the settings, I have it set to check for updates everytime I connect the phone, and when I check for updates via the handset it says there's an update available and I should check PC Companion.I did an update anyway, even though it said my phone is fully up-to date to see if that would put 2.1 on, but it's still at 1.6.any idea why PCC is not prompting me?
I borrowed a windows computer and updated to 2.1. Everything seemed fine until today. I noticed that the backup hadn't saved my email details so I attempted to setup it up from scratch to my isp's pop3 server (Zen Internet). I input my details over and over and kept getting server not found/ authentication wrong. Then I realised one of my password letters should have been capitalised... So, I thought that'll be it. reentered my details but this time the continue button won't work... No amount of pressing gets even an error message. So, I turned the phone on and off...Still no good and now the phone can't find the setup guide that I carefully copied over to a new 16gb mini sdcard...
I just got my Xperia x10 mini pro today and so far I have noticed that my email doesn't update itself, I have to do it manually but it seems like the phone should be able to do that. I use a hotmail account on my phone and I would like to know if the email can update itself, if I have to wait for 2.1 to have this problem resolved or if it's just something that I'm missing. And sometimes the phone will say "Does not connect" when I do try to update it but it hasn't done it in the last few hours. In addition, there isn't any change in my real email account. I could read an email on my phone and still half an hour later that very same email will be considered new and unread.
Is there any way to remove preinstalled apps? I have several that came with the phone.e.g.the sims demo, uno trial, and so on. The thing is i can't remove them from the phone.Apps that i've installed myself are no problem at all to remove but these that came with the phone just won't be deleted. If i can't delete them can i just hide the icons somehow? thay just take up space in the phone.
I hate to look at all the different icons of apps I don't use so is there a way to hide them? Not just take them to far far away screen, I mean really hide them. I decided not to try root the phone because I don't have knowledge and will just ruin it.
