I have manged to set the phone to my level of perfection. I have noticed though that facebook notifications are not appearing in my notification far. I have everything set up to refresh but notifications are never pulled down unless I go into the app and load it.

Everytime i click for notifications, an error message appears. "Cannot retrieve the notifications. Please try again later [601/Parser error:unexpected '-' at position 64.]"
View 1 Replies View RelatedAm now onto my second Sony Ericsson Xperia phone, as I am unable to compose a new SMS message. ALthough I have imported all contacts from SD memory card, and they appear in my contacts and if somebody is to call or SMS me their name appears but when I go to send a new message no names appears just lets me type their name but does not allow to send the text as there is no number?
I really like this phone and do not want to have to get a 3rd one or change phones altogether.
SIM card does not work effectiviely either. SOme numbers come up with a search but I almost have to type the full name - cannot just enter say "D" and all names appear under that letter.
Vodafone and Sony Ericsson are unable to provide any further advise as I have completed factory data resets, un and reinstall software updates. Sony Ericsson has said they have not had another feedback like this?
How do I stop visited web addresses appearing when I start typing an address into the browser?

View 10 Replies View RelatedRight, I've just installed 2.1 and now when I go to edit a name in a picture for the facial recognition feature it automatically has my contacts and every single facebook friend listed.Does anyone know how I can get rid of the facebook names? It's really annoying me, I even told facebook not to link up at all when I first started the application to avoid problems like this.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI attend to this error in notifications several times each day. I'm not asking it to update mind you. It's trying this all of it's smarty pants x10i self. When I actually do bring up the facebook application it acts ok. The one thing this x10i can't do is upgrade to adobe flashplayer. There are places that tell me I don't have video on my phone in order to view the news clip or whatever. It's not a big deal to me and don't really need it. It would be nice to turn off the facebook "unable to update" in my notifications, without removing facebook entirely.

I was not able to open the SMS by tapping on the envelope icon on the notification, however I am able to clear it from the notification. BUT each time I receive a SMS this notification pops up again, so each time i have to clear this msg. What can i do to get rid of it?

However, there have been no updates to facebook posts in Timescape for 2 days - setting is set to update per hour. No sounds come out of the speaker used for listening to voice calls on the front of the phone. Wonder if the phone can be modified to output notifications from that speaker as well as the one on the side? Guessing though, that it isn't a very loud speaker though as you've normally got your ear stuck to it!

On my old Sony when I missed a call it displayed it on screen, I could then call the person and it was great. I am now missing calls and unless I look in calls I would never know.
