I've had my mini pro for 3 days now and i've experienced this problem since my first initial charge.
It seems that the touchscreen does not work once i resume from standby. The keys work and so does the keypad but the system doesn't respond when i touch the screen. At first I thought it was because the phone was charging and so it doesnt operate whilst charging. However, i've encountered this problem 4-5 times with the phone discharged. The only way i can get around this is by removing the battery and putting it back in, which restarts the phone. I don't think this is normal and i've consulted with my friend who has the same phone and claims he has no issues with it so far. So what is going on here?
2nd time- phone was on standby around 3 hours
3rd time- phone was on standby 8 hours
4th time - dont remember
5th time - 10 mins (ridiculous -.-)
Im thinking it may be a phone issue and not the battery (since all the keys work except touchscreen). Also, this DOES not happen everytime phone is on standby. It acts faulty whenever it wants which is very irritating. If anyone is experiencing the same problem pls dont hesitate to post your ideas. I love this phone very much but this problem is leaving me in doubt.
I'm having a "mini" problem with my x10 mini pro. When pc companion detects my phone and prompts me to tap the notification tab the touchscreen freezes! eventhought im tapping the connect to pc nothing happens..what can i do? i can't complete my connection to pc companion due to this hiccup..
Had the x10 for a few months now, and at the start i loved it!! Yes the battery life was an issue but got better over time although can basically never leave any apps running.
But now, my touchscreen is totally messed up, i touch one area of the phone and it either doesn't respond or it just starts going crazy. Countless times i have had to either lock my phone and try again or switch it off completely which is a task in itself because of the screen not responding so the only solution is to remove the battery. When texting, i for example will press the letter a next thing i know its hit every other key other than a. I'm even struggling to answer my phone when receiving a call as again the screen won't respond correctly to unlock it. My partner got her phone at the exact same time and hers is doing the exact same thing. Is this a common thing for the handset?
My GF recently had an X10 and she set her lock pattern on this phone. Unfortunately, she forgot the pattern that she did so she end up inputting wrong patterns and then gets locked. The phone is asking us to enter the email address (which we did - using the gmail address) but didnt work.Do you have any idea how to fix this.
I recently got this phone. I have been getting text messages from a number. my problem is that i want to forward the message with the phone number that sent it to another phone and my email. how do i do this i know that i can copy and paste it or forward it but when i tried that the phone number did show up only mine. i really need to be able to send the phone number with the original text at the same time.
I know it is probably something simple. Yet I am not too sure the difference between the two. My first thought is that one is a US version and the other international. I just wanted to check and see the difference.
Recently bought the x10 and I am still getting used to it. One thing I have noticed is that when a caller not on my list is calling, I only see the number. When I plop my sim back into my old shitty LG VU, I can once again see the number and the name registered to it. Is this an x10 thing?
Everyone probably has the exact same Build Number, but than again, maybe a couple don't. So after a search, I was not able to find a thread like this, so here it is. I just received my X10 yesterday and per Sony Support, my X10 has the current OS. So here is my info:
I have noticed this evening that a number of my apps seem to be smaller on the screen.Paper Toss now only fills half the screen, Solitaire the cards are a lot smaller and harder to read. And MixZing, the menu font is a lot smaller.
Could these all just be issues with the apps or could I have done something to my phone? I can't see that it is possible to change the screen res on the phone and I have not downloaded any further applications that would have changed this.
I can make calls ok and send and receive text. I have my voice mail set up but when I receive calls if I miss the call it does not go to voice mail and the caller get a message saying the number is not recognized. Does anyone know if this is a phone problem or a network problem only had this since I have had my X10.
So I'm used to a blackberry and especially how easy it is to dial out on a blackberry. I just got an x10 and I'm very excited about what I've been able to do so far but dialing out takes 3-5 button presses and some searching for the names of the person I'm looking for.is there an app or other way to get a phone call off to a specific persons number. I'm hoping there may exist some way I can just start typing a name and click "call" like I would on the blackberry.
Myself, started with backup and restore, backup was completed and also backed up my contacts to flash just in case. Hooked phone to PC companion and was informed an update was available. Followed through the update process and when the phone was disconnected and powered on as instructed I was still left with 1.6. Now when I connect to PC companion I am informed software is up to date with 1.6.
I have phone numbers stored that was transferred from my HTC phone that have a "p" in the dialing sequence to introduce a pause for e.g. a calling card. When this number is used in the X10 it will not recognize the "p" as a pause. What is the correct character to use?
