Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: How To Uninstall Demo Games / Apps?
Sep 8, 2010
Is there any way to get rid of those friggin demo games and apps? I don't want any of those games, and I even don't want RoadSync and a lot of other preinstalled apps. I have to say that the X10 mini pro is just as cluttered with pre-installed crap ware like any Vaio computer; only there, I can just install my own Linux desktop and get rid of that stuff easily.
I hope someone can help. I would like to get rid of the demo games that came pre-installed on my shiny new Xperia 10X Mini, but the option does not seem to be there. I go to Settings/Applications/Manage Applications, click on the demos, and no option to delete them is there. I really do not want these demos I will never play taking up room I could be using for useful stuff! Can anyone help? Before anyone suggests using the PC application manager.
I got a problem regarding android market....since i bought my x8 in UAE, android market is not available in my phone....i really want to download games and apps in android market but every time im gonna download it always says "you dont have permission to download"....i was wondering if there is another web site where in i can download games aside from android market.
I asked this on XDA and no one has replied so far, so I'll give this a shot here. And I thought this was worthy of its own thread cuz I was pretty clueless on where to go.
Ok, so I deleted the following things from my phone using Titanium Backup.
- Korean and Danish keyboards - Moxier Mail - Face Recognition - Creatouch - User Guide + User Guide Client - Play Now - Setup Guide - TrackID - everything Timescape (8 files in total) *ok, this seems to have screwed up my camera photos and won't read my SD card pictures or the pictures I had taken (except for 2 photos in total). If anyone has the original 8 files and can hook them up PLUS TUTORIAL ON HOW TO REINSTALL THEM, then that would be AWESOME! For some odd reason, I backed the files in Ti Backup, but they aren't showing anymore...so a heads up for people backing the core default files, be careful what you delete. Or are they stored somewhere else that I'm unaware of?*
Also, I'm really looking to get rid of "Voice Dialer" and "Office Suite". Anyone know if removing it will screw up any function of the phone?
I am extremely happy with my X10i, and yesterday I received and installed the latest update with no problems; however, I have a few questions:
1) Why is it that you do not give us "permission" to uninstall things such as the Moxier suite and PlayNow (which is unavailable to us in the USA) without us having to resort to the extreme of rooting? 2) Why is it that you do not give us access to equalizer settings? Again, only through rooting, can we get access to this. (note: the 3rd party apps in Android store are all junk) Would it be that difficult to add an equalizer in MediaScape? 3) Why is it that Skype comes preinstalled on the X1, but not on the X10? I'm on the T-Mobile network, and here in the USA, Skype for Android is only available to those on the Verizon network. I am forced to use Nimbuzz (which is a great application by-the-way), but it would be nice to have the actual Skype application that is available on the X1. If you got "permission" to preinstall it on the X1, I would assume you can do the same with the X10.
I truly believe that the X10 is an "iCrap" killer; however, if the little things I mention above were to be addressed, in my opinion, this would make a lot of X10 users happy, and make the X10 truly an IPhone killer in the eyes of others.
I have an X10 mini and plugged it into my computer 'PC Companion' prompted an update and restart of the phone this installed the backup and restore app which is fine but also a demo of a game called 'roller coaster' the demo lasted like 5 minutes and I'd like to uninstall it but can't do it the usual way as it wasn't from market place? Any suggestions?
Since iv done the android update i cant download some app/games ( angry birds ) that i had before updating yesterday . and also when i did update it i recieved a new quick bar (bluetooth, screen dimer, etc etc i acidently deleted it and i dont know how to get that back....
I'm using an X10 Mini Pro and I have a couple of rubbish games that were installed when i received the phone, that do not display an un-install button in the application manager, is there a way to delete these pesky things?
I had been using the DATA TOGGLE widget for couple days, today strangely the widget was not functioning, it was not possible to turn on/off data. I tried uninstalling the app but still the problem persists.I tried switching off the phone, remove battery didn't work also tried the airplane mode on/off without luck also tried changing the ENABLE DATA in the settings no luck Cleare all current APN's and re installed the APN settings but still the problem persists?
Can anyone recommend a computer software suite for XPERIA x10 which is better than what comes with phone? I'm not impressed with the application SE PC Companion. I'm using now the PC suite for Android, but too much that is not being translated into English.
I want to know if it is possible to install applications in the X10 downloaded from the internet with a PC. I do not have internet connection from my mobile and I would like to install some applications on it, but the only way explained in the manual is using the market and I can not use it.
I know apps vary in size but I just wondered how many apps I can download onto the phones memory? What limits you, the memory size or the phones ability to run many at once?Sorry if this has been asked before, I did search first but couldn't find an answer for the X10. Apologies if I missed it.
