So I left my x10 charger at a friends house and I won't be able to pick it up till friday, so I tried using my families b;ackberry bold chargers (they all have blackberry bolds for some reason O_o) and I keep on getting the same result, it wont charge past 2 percent... :l Maybe the issue will be solved when I get my x10 charger back but until then im using a flip phone from 10 years ago (y)
Reading the new hands on over at Tech Radar has got me pretty excited about the X10 - seems a remarkable beast. But they seem to suggest a lack of widget support on the device - leaving me in a quandery, I love the widget support of the HTC Hero (and its successors), but am truly tempted by the X10s larger screen, its Racheal/Time/Mediascape UI and camera technology. So far, has anyone noticed support for widgets on the device? Obviously certain widgets are redundant with Time/Mediascape, but news, weather widgets are a big draw for me.
I recently got an X10 on contract but got so annoyed by the fact that the x10 does not have a calendar as I have to sync with google mail (which i don't want to do). and the phone book is also sync'd to Gmail. I have a gmail account but don't use it that much. I only use it for gtalk with a few friends, 4 to be precise. I am a yahoo mail user. I found the internet connect brilliant and the timescape and mediascape very useful. I then went on to order a samsung Galaxy S which I had tired in-store and really loved it. The camera is brilliant.. its way better the the X10. 3/4 of the applications on Galaxy i like especially the calendar as it the major application i use. The down side is It's network coverage is so poor. It does not matter if it's indoors or outdoors. the internet connection is so slow other than that the rest is fine. what i would like help with is whether i can have some of the applications on Galaxy like calender, mini diary, layer, and live wallpapers on the Xperia x10. OR if i can have timescape and and media scape on the Samsung instead. I would keep the samsung and put up with the slow internet connection but would really love to keep the X10 if the above can be done.
Does anyone out there know if there is a way we can get a flash down loaded to ur handset for the camera as the photos i take are coming out really dark. shame really because when i take them outside in the daylight, the quality is Very good. if anyone knows i'd sure appreciate a reply.
Can any one tell me is X8 going 2 come in black color? There r some websites which says its gonna come in black color. I know that it may be rumors that is why I am asking it on this Forum. May be some official word.I want this phone but only in black.
So here I have a link to an x10 which has been run over by a 70 seater bus but the device still works. It maybe that the glass panel is smashed but at least it is still on to access your data and the touchscreen still works too. The build quality is very good and is something I would look for in a phone anyway. Here is the link http://gadgets.apnafundaz.com/2010/09/xperia-x10-broken-touchscreen-touchpanel-survives-bus-run-over-amazing-build-quality/
I got the X10 mini pro today & so far so good however. The phone is a vodafone handset that has been unlocked. I have a 3 sim card in it that works but i can't access Planet 3 anymore. if i start the web application it will connect to vodafone & vodafone only. Is there any way i can access planet 3 again? Is there a setting i must change?
Unfortunately I seem to have had a senior moment and lost the built in user guide for my handset(Xperia X10 mini pro) in the process of replacing my memory card and formatting the one received with the handset (yes I was actually that stupid). Can anyone possibly help me in locating a copy that I can transfer to my phone please?I know I can view the instructions online from my laptop or the handset itself but I would like to get them back on the handset just in case, any help would be greatly appreciated.
The geotag on my x10 doesn't work! the gps is, on and everything is ok, google maps work just fine, only the geotaging don't work, I called sony ericsson and all the settings are ok, the gps sign appears on the camera but it doesn't work, can anyone help me?

I am planning to buy a 32 gb micro sdhc card for my Xperia X10.However, I have found tons of confusing and conflicting information here on SE forums and all over the net.To my surprise, even Sony Ericsson itself giving conflicting information regarding this.On the product page of Xperia X10 (click this link and click on the specifications), it says that Xperia X10 supports microSD up to 16GB only.Whereas the official Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 White paper (on page no.5) says that it supports -microSD, up to 32 GB. (The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 White paper can be downloaded from this link). Now i urge someone, preferably an SE moderator or staff, to enlighten on this matter and answer how and why SE is giving contradictory and confusing statements regarding the sd card capability and compatibility for the same product?.
So I did some modding (unfortunately) to the framework-res.apk file and it worked the first time and a few other times but then I changed something and now when I turn on the phone it freezes at the "Sony Ericsson" screen before the logo. What do I do?
I tried pushing the backup framework file but it says "failed to copy framework-res.apk to /sdcard/framework-res.apk: Permission denied
However, when I use adb devices, it does show my device as being attached.
So what can I do now?
I was also able to pull files...
Also tried manually putting the framework-res.apk in the sdcard and then using adb to copy it to the framework folder. Doesnt work. Saids that the directory cannot be open for read. I guess the device cant read the SD card until it boots up.
I saw that there are already a number of discussions about sony erricson synchronization but I cannot find one for this specific message: Synchronization failed. It wouldn't tell me why it failed, it just spits out that generic message after I click "Finish" in the Sony Ericsson Sync Client Wizard.
I'd like to use my X10 to keep all of my contacts' postal addresses in instead of the tatty old address book I carry in my handbag(!) I didn't fancy typing them all into the phone, so thought I would use the Sony Ericsson sync and put them into the pc first via the PC Companion sync application, and set up the sync to transfer them into my phone. I have tried a test run adding only a couple of addresses to my contacts on the pc, and adding one to my phone, but when I do a sync, the addresses don't transfer either way. I know that the actual sync is working because I added photos too and they transfer....... I must be doing something wrong that is easily rectified?
I have an Sony Ericcson x10i, and i just Syncronised my telephone.
I updated to the firmware .27 just a few days ago, and i had lots of new Contacts in my phone, BEFORE i updated.
And then i updated to 27, and all my contacts were removed ( at the time i had no clue i had all the contacts on SE.com database ) so i copied my old contacts from my SIM-card, and just before i synced i saw all my mew contacts from before i updated the telephone in my database, but now when the telephone synced again it replaced all the new contacts in my database with my old contacts from my SIM-card wich i copied into the phone after the update. how i can get my old database back from SE.com `?
I'm new to the forums, and very interested in the Evo. I was wondering about the HDMI connector type on the Evo. I did some quick searches in google and the forums here and didn't see anything definitive. ImGreen brought up the question in the official Evo thread, but I'm still working on reading through that. At the point I'm at, I didn't see a clear answer. Anyway, I came across this information, and I'm posting in hopes that it's helpful to others (perhaps in search results) and not rehash. Here's a comparison to HDMI Type-D to Micro USB.
I bought a cable, manufactured by HTC, which is supposed to give you the ability to stream video out via the device's usb connector. It has a usb connector on one end and splits out to three rca plugs on the other (the usual red, white, and yellow for audio and video). HTC claims that the cable is compatible with my phone (the HTC Eris). When I connected the cable and it didn't work, I wrote to HTC support, which replied that I need software to enable the phone to do this. I searched the anroid market and the web and could not find any such software. I wrote back to HTC asking for them to suggest software to me and they never responded. Does anyone know of such software? Would HTC manufacture a cable in anticipation of somebody developing the proper software?
There are precious few accessories for the Magic which doesn't bother me too much but I'm surprised that the charging cradles don't have a sound output connector. Is there a technical reason for that? It seems that there are USB cables that can charge and provide a standard audio connector but I'd like to see a cradle do the same so that the phone can stand up nicely at bedside.
