Samsung Vibrant :: Computer Not Reading Memory Card?
i was avaible to swap pictures, music and everything between the 2...but now i took out my memory card from my old hd2 and put it in(hence its 16gb, and i didnt even use my hd2 for a day it was given to me so it has nothing crazy on it) and now when i plug in my vibrant, it dosent read the card for some reason, removable drive pops up, but it wont access it, i also saw this happen with someone elses vibrant, any advice?...and oh yea, i do press mount on the usb thing on the vibrant screen.

I was just wondering if anyone could help me with the following problem I am having with my 8GB Memory Card i recently purchased for my G1. The built-in memory card reader on my computer does not recognize the card when I insert it, so I attached it via USB whilst still in the phone. The computer then recognised it until I began transferring items to it. When it just stopped working and even made the phone unresponsive.Have I just bought a dodgy memory card?

Samsung Captivate :: Phone Not Reading Sd Card
how to apply to lag fix by partitioning my sd card. I followed the guide to the t using Paragon Hard Disk Manager. When I deleted my external SD card partition, it wouldn't let me re-partition it. Now my computer won't even recognize my phone. When I go into settings->SD card and phone storage, both the internal and external SD card show "Unavailable" under the space heading. The unmount and format options are greyed out as well. What do I need to do to get my phone back the way it was? I would just like my phone back the way it was and would like to get this lag fix working. Here are the video tutorials I followed and the original site I found. Samsung Vibrant :: Add Songs From My Computer To Phone?
I just sold my iphone and got this vibrant and i have couple question =).. obviously i just got it today so im very new to it and i been trying to figure stuff out for past 3 hours lol.. but i still can figure out how do i add songs from my computer to the phone? when i plug in usb it just show the icon and cant figure out if i can put the songs in there or not.

Samsung Vibrant :: Some Odd File In My Vibrant Sd Card?
I just noticed something in my Vibrant sd card file called "Lazy List".I have no idea where it came from and haven't noticed it before, but it can be found in both my 01 file, and my Astro file, and consists of a bunch of random thumbnails that when clicked on show a lot of gibberish writing. I am afraid to delete this file since I don't know what purpose it serves. I have never downloaded anything called that, nor have I ever seen any of the thumbnails before.Does anyone know anything about this "Lazy List"?

Samsung Vibrant :: Computer Not Recognize Mounted Device In Windows 7
I use Windows 7, received my Vibrant a few weeks ago and have been having a great time, but my phone doesn't mount! It mounted the very first time but after making a potential mistake, it stopped. Here's what happened: Yesterday I installed several apps (Beautiful Widgets, WidgetLocker, just for reference), and for the first time since receiving my handheld, wanted to add some files to it via my pc. I connected my Android as usual only to find that while both the phone & sd card were recognized on my computer, both contained no records, which was obviously a glitch. I then tried unmounting my phone, and screwed up by selecting for my phone to be a media device rather than mass storage. Windows began searching for the device drivers, was unable to find them, and gave the message: "device driver software was not successfully installed." And now, whether mounted or not, windows no longer recognizes my phone's storage. My Android however, has no problems going from mounted to unmounted. However, I have tried connecting my phone to two other computers and none recognize my device.

Android :: Reading Connected Computer's Drives From App?
I would like to have an application sync itself with some files on a host computer.. Anyone know if this is possible? Eg: When you connect an Android phone to a computer i would like an application on the android system to read some allowed folders on the connected computer. Making it so the user doesn't have to sync files itself.

Samsung Behold 2 :: How To Install Fonts From Memory Card?
I just ran the persistent root and it worked great. I'm trying to copy Arabic fonts from the memory card into the phone but am running into a problem after running adb shell. The device is recognized by the pc and lists it as "sgh-t939". But the second command I think it wants to remount the memory card [ remount rw ] and I'm encountering a problem -- displays "remount: not found" I am simply following directions for adding the same fonts from a rooted galaxy. I have highlited where I'm stuck in red.

Samsung Behold 2 : Ringtones Not Locating On Memory Card
I downloaded some ringtones from myxer.com and there on the phone. I can go to settings and set them as a ringtone however when i go to them in file manager or astro the file manager that i use from the market place they are no where to be found on my memory card. Does anyone know where they might be stored on the phone.

Samsung Behold 2 :: Phone Resets On Its Own Now Cannot Find Memory Card
Sso yesterday, my phone did one of the resets on its own, thinking ok whatever (since its the norm now). When it came back up was saying please insert external memory card. Something like that. So again, its crapped out another card. I would have to check my last post to see if this happened with the old phone or the replacement. Its been just fine, now everything is gone again. I know I should back things up but when u have never had this problem b4 its not something that I always remember to do. I had removed weather widget and beautiful widget as I didn't know which one I wanted and was rearranging icons. Now I cant use either. I was checking for a schedule online.

Samsung Captivate :: Copying Music Files W/o A Memory Card
So I plugged my new Captivate into my PC (Windows 7 64-bit) and the Captivate says it's connected, but the PC shows no signs of it being connected. I called SAmsung support, and from what I could understand of what the "tech" told me, this is a bug, and there's no way for a PC to recognize the Captivate unless there's a memory card installed. is this correct? Once a 16GB memory card is installed, do you have 64-GB of storage space you can use for music, etc? This seems like a mammoth problem - do they have any timeframe for a fix for this? Or is the "tech" incorrect? I can't believe I just bought a brand new "Smartphone" to replace my old mobile phone and MP3 player, and I can't copy files to it. Help! Should Samsung Kies be selected as the USB setting? That's the default.

Samsung Galaxy S :: Showing Wrong Memory On Internal And External Sd Card
Prior to installing the external card - the folders app showed /sd. Which I assumed was the internal one. Then I insert the external one, reboot the phone, and tehre is no additional directory in the folder view. Why is this? Secondly, its a 16GB card. Its reported as 14.58GB. The format option is greyed out. Is it automatically mounted at power on? Ideally I want to know where I install things to know that they are on the external card.

Samsung Moment :: How To Save Text Thread On Memory Card To Back Them Up?
I'm new to the forums. Just got a Samsung Moment and love it. Just switched from ATT to Sprint. I was wondering if anyone can help me out. I want to be able to either save a text thread or be able to save them on the memory card to back them up. I have a single text thread that I need to keep that has over 400 texts in it. Samsung Epic 4G :: Low Storage Internal App Memory / Can't Move Apps To SD Card?
Is anyone else experiencing problems downloading and running apps from the market due to low memory issues? Why did they only put 512MB of internal memory for app storage on this Epic when the AT&T galaxy version got 8GB of internal memory in addition to the 16GB micro Sd card??? My memory is full now, and without android 2.2 I can't move apps to the SD card. They should have provided all of their galaxy class phones with the 8GB internal memory.

HTC Desire : Memory - Switch To Sd Card When Phone Memory Full
Not had my desire long but down loaded a few apps for it they all seem to be stored on phone memory not the sd card. what is stored to the sd card seems to be unused so far. do you have to set it up to use sd card or does it know one is fitted. does it switch to sd card when phone memory full. will run out of space soon if can't get things to store to card instead of phone mem.

Sprint HTC Hero :: Phone Not Reading Sd Card
I have a rooted HTC Hero (Sprint), Fresh, Gumbo Kernel that runs wonderfully. Lateley however, my phone is not reading my sd card. Im unaware of the class, but it is an 8gb scan disk minisd. It has worked for over a year. I try to copy my information onto my desktop to reformat the sd, but it stops in the middle of the transfer. I have tried to find info on this issue, and I apologize if a thread has already been started.
