Anyone know how to change the standard font size on the email program which is standard? While were at it, can a signature be added with that program?

Does anyone else have problems changing email font size in the standard mail app? I would like to see email text in a smaller font size, but changing it to smaller or smallest in the settings does not seem to have any effect.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is my first post. I've had a Moto Droid since day one, and I just love it. It is without a doubt better than any phone that I've had over the years, and that includes the iPhone, BB, etc.
However, there are 2 things that I don't understand - Font size and a spell checker. It is imposiible to read the small font size in emails or text messages.
1. Why has there not been an app to either change the font size or be able to zoom in? Picasy has incorporated multi-touch for zooming, so I've to assume that its doable! Why not have the same in an email client.
2. Why is there not an email client out there that allows for spell checking? There are many such apps for the BB! I am a terrible speller.
I am not complaining, I just want to understand the limitations from a developers prospective, as I am sure these isuues will eventually be addressed.
Can you adjust email font sizes for both gmail and corporate email?
View 18 Replies View RelatedDoes the Nexus One allow larger font sizes for email for old, tired eyes? With the move to Verizon I am considering trying one out. I already have three phones on Verizon so adding a fourth would be easy enough. I actually had the T-Mobile version but radio performance was horrid (no signal in places where an unlocked iPhone was able to make calls) and I'm hoping that on the Verizon network the radio issues will be solved. I don't remember having trouble with email, but I had the phone for such a short time (under a day) I can't remember if I had email issues.

I tried and returned the Droid because I don't want to put my reading glasses on every time I get an email or text. I have talked to several Android 2.1 users who tell me that this can be done, but not a single one has been able to show me that it can be done.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've been playing with the K9 Email app as a replacement for the stock program. I rather like it, but there is a deal breaker. On my secondary gmail account (not the one the Eris is set up with, but another one that I set up in K9) the font size in the message is so tiny I can't see it. I've searched the options over and over to find a setting to increase the font size, but apparently I can't find it. Would any of you happen to know where it is?

View 3 Replies View Relatedi have tried searching and waiting to see if anyone else is having this problem but apparently i am the only one. no matter what i do i can't get any of the font packs to work in open home. i have tried all the free ones on the market. when i go to menu>more>text font & color>edit text (doesnt matter which) i get a force close. does anyone have a fix for this or can tell me what i am doing wrong? those are the instructions in the app but maybe i am missing something.

After I booted my phone, my screen got zoomed in instead of decreasing. Now I cant even type up my password cause the numbers can't fit in the screen. I have no access to my phone because my phone is locked. Btw, I have a Samsung Galaxy Fit S5670 (rooted) .

I tried to open the file on my home computer to see my call log and I can't open a SBF File. Is there a program that I can open this file with and read and see my information. If not is the a way that I can convert this file in a word format.

1. I have read the owner's manual and it states that when I hook my USB to my computer, it will recognize it (my Macbook Pro does not acknowledge it). Of course I don't see the icon on the notification bar that looks like USB either. I can get my computer to recognize my device via bluetooth, but then it refuses to connect it. Is there a program I can use that will recognize it (ie. like when I hook up my iPod touch via iTunes, it becomes a recognized device in a list, something like that?) I read several threads on here about USB and tried removing, reformatting (which auto mounts it according to user's manual) taking out battery, etc, but no avail.
2. Is there any way to set an alarm to something other than annoying alarm type sounds? I loved on my Instinct I could do any ring tone... I used the Appalarm that lets you pick which app to launch, but found it unreliable. (Set to Pandora, decided to freeze on launch, can't have that for a wake up alarm, don't think work would understand!)
3. Is there a way to have GPS enable for specific program launches (ie. when I use google maps or sprint nav) but not be always on or always off? I used battery widget for management but when I manually turn it off, if I get into a search for a location, I'll have to back out, re-enable it then re-start my search. (I'm spoiled with my Microsoft Live Search... verbal search and turn by turn directions spoken... Super safe when driving).
4. When I want to take a photograph, I'll hold down the button.. about 15 seconds later the camera (maybe) loads. Sometimes it won't load this way so I go into the menu and load the camera that way. Then, when I go to take a picture, it focuses in and out repeatedly, then a camera icon on the upper right corner of the screen gets a little green dot in the circle and it makes a bip bip noise. It won't take the picture if I use the camera button on the top (side) of the phone but it *will* take the picture if I press this camera icon on the screen. Of course this is completely awkward! What gives? There is nothing in the owner's manual about this green dot! It shows a red dot in place of the camera icon for a camcorder recording, but this is totally different.
5. The only references to a folder in my user's manual is how to add a folder to the desktop. Well, now that I have my nice empty folder, I'd like to add, say, all my games to it so I have a games folder.. (is this possible)? I'm not sure how to add anything, I tried add and it just puts stuff on the screen behind it. I'm not sure how to add and modify contents to this.
I feel like I've taken steps backwards with this phone. It has a lot of amazing features (Locale, wow; KeyRing, amazing; ShopSavvy, fun), but the stuff I need the most like calendar, photos, and navigation, are the ones that I seem to have to take the most extra steps with or have issues with. Maybe I should've just gotten the Instinct HD.. laugh. My two year old Instinct I still think was way ahead of its time, and the quality of the camera seems way better, of course the HD will blow it out of the water. I just really love the idea of Android. I just feel like everything takes a lot of extra steps. Where are my shortcuts!!I hope you can help!! Tell me what I'm doing wrong or am I just having a bad experience?
The Nuance program on my Samsung Moment recognizes everything I say except for the word "yes". For example when I say, "Call Candace" it asks, "Did you say 'Call Candace?'" and when I say "Yes", it waits for a moment then goes back to my home screen. If I say, "No", it proceeds to the next name that sounds like what I said. If I say "Yes" to the next name, it closes Nuance and goes back to my home screen. I have gone through the Adapt process. Sprint has tried to fix it and ended up giving me a new phone. Samsung has been stumped by this.

When I click the home button it just goes straight the the default home, and when I go to manage my home apps it doesn't let me choose clear defaults, it is grayed out.

I downloaded a theme (suave redone light) and applied it, and as its supposed to, the font changed. But now, whenever I apply a new theme or a font from a certain theme, there's always a few programs that keep the suave font, and after I mess around with the phone for a while, things like the settings, notes, the bible app, change back to the suave font.
It's not like it's a really big deal, but I don't like having some apps with a different font, specially when it's two completely different fonts.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been developing on a ADP2 (Google Ion) with a "standard" screen size (with a resolution of 320x480)... Our designer made some pretty neat Images with which to create the GUI, and when placing everything within the layout XML files it looks pretty good... That is, on the Eclipse renderer, the one who shows you how it will look like on the device... Thus not the emulator itself... Unfortunately when run on the real device the supercrisp and beatifull images become blurry and unsharp... I actually do'nt see why this should happen ? Everything has been designed whilst keeping the target devices resolution into account... Is this because most probably the dpi of the screen on which the Images were (big 24 inch screen) is different that the devices? And if so how can this be corrected (maybe within the designers application as well, I think he uses Photoshop).
