I tried flashing my Galaxy S, but when i turned it on, it stayed on the boot menu for 10 minutes and nothing happened, so i had to remove the battery. I tired putting it in download mode and it didnt work eiter. When i plugged in the usb, it showed the charging icon with the loading sign, however the loading sign did not go away, again I had to remove the battery. What is wrong with my Galaxy S, and what can I do to fix it?
I bought this phone whilst on a business trip In Shenzhen china.
It's was running 4.2.9 jb. 2gb ram 16gb rom 5" screen 1080p
I put 3d chain fire on it and now it's stuck in the boot animation.
I borrowed my friend phone, same as mine and loaded up mtk droid and it generated a backup of his phone with loads of files system folder, boot.img etc
It then packed it up into a zip file. From there I thought I could put the zip file on an sd card and boot into recovery and delete the data / cache and them select install from sd card. But the installation failed
Yesterday i tried updating my android to Ice Cream Sandwich following some tutorial i found but i missed a step and didn't downloaded Clockworkmod Recovery or made any backup , and i think that USB Debugging is off because my pc doesn't recognize the phone ... I tried going into Android system recovery and clearing data and cache , and i tried with odin mode by pressing volume down, home and power but i got stuck on downloading screen for 2 hours so i gave up ... Now only thing left on my sd card is ics aura rom..
i had the baseband version XXKPA and i needed to switch to a more stable ICS so i flashed XXLPQ without doing a factory reset, now my phone is stuck at the boot screen. it can enter into download mode, but not recovery mode.
My Galaxy gio is rooted and is with a clockworkmod recovery. Yesterday, I tried to flash a custom kernel. After flashing successfully (through cwm recovery), i reboot my phone and then it stuck at boot screen.I did many searches but cannot understand any.I can go into recovery and download mode which is i think so required by odin.I wonder if I can flash any stock rom again easily. Need zip file with which i can put in sd card and install zip through cwm recovery by which i can unbrick my phone. I tried wipe data and factory reset but nothing worked.
I have a T-679. it is only lightly modded. I still have stock UVLE1 with Clockworkmod recovery...v5.5 i think. All has been well until recently I have been trying out a lot of new apps. recently i got the adw launcher and camera sensor. now when i reboot i see one Samsung logo, then tmobile/android logo and jingle, then another Samsung logo and it hangs here. if i wait some time and start pushing buttons I see that the phone seems to be active. if i push the power button then the vol-up/down i hear the sound of the volume being adjusted. also very curiously i just found that if i hold down the home button and press the power button i hear a shutter sound!? In some instances, haven't figured out if its a particular button press of just random, i can get the lock screen to come up, which then allows me to unlock the phone and all works normally... until i reboot again.
edit: I just checked I have CWM recovery v5.5.04,b I have a backup from a while back and i just made another backup I also tryied wipe cache/dalvik which i thought it worked because i think it booted directly after that, but i just tryed again and this time i see no benefit/effect
I installed Cyanogenmod 10.2 a few days ago, and has been working fine up until about an hour ago. My phone basically locked up while I was using Spotify, so I did a hard reboot, and got stuck in a boot loop. I tried to reboot a few times with the same results. I didnt have much on my phone, so I did the factory reset (using Teamwin recovery), but after that the phone was still stuck in the boot loop. After that, I tried the "Format Data" option.
After going through, It was still stuck in the boot loop. I've also tried to restore backups, but to no avail. I'm not super knowledgeable about the whole inner workings of rooting. I didn't want to do the advance wipe (includes internal storage, system, USB-OTG) for fear of really messing something up. If it completely restores to factory settings, i don't really care, I just dont want my phone to be completely unuseable.
I'm not sure if this is considered a boot loop but when turned on, after the logo it turns into a blank screen.
Anyway, I was stupid enough to install 3D chainfire when it's not compatible (I neglected the description since it worked on my previous galaxy ace) ...
I've tried going to recovery mode to: - wipe data/factory reset - wipe cache partition (but shows error)
Not sure what else can I do anymore. Since Ace 3 is fairly new, it's quite hard to find a solution with google.. Also, I have zero knowledge about flashing ROM or of the sort..
Extra info: - My phone is Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 GT - S7275R - Rooted with a Chinese universal rooting program - When entering recovery mode, it shows "no command" for a few seconds before entering the menu.
My Samsung Galaxy Ace (S5830) running under a custom ROM The Ultimatum (I've been using this custom firmware for a few weeks now, with no real problems up until now), is bootlooping with no apparent reason. On a rare occasion, most apps on the phone stopped responding and would crash upon opening, and would require a restart before they worked again. Well this happened to me a few hours ago, so I decided to reboot my phone. After coming back to check my phone, I had found it was still booting. This has gone on for several hours now, and I've tried turning it on and off, removing batteries and everything. It's stuck in boot loop. I found this was odd, as I have had no dramas with the firmware I've been using. I have not made ANY recent changes to the phone whatsoever, so I can hardly believe it would be my fault.
how do I fix this without wiping all data and installing a clean ROM? I have a lot of stuff in the internal storage I can't afford to lose, and it's really important to me.
I bought a Galaxy s Duos S7562 and i installed rom cosmic V1.It was working .But after that, i find out about pmp ultra light rom.I tried to install it but it remains stuck at boot logo, I mean it is restarting at infinite.I tried a lot of basebands, kernels but the same thing happened. Now i tried to install Cosmic rom V2 and before that, I installed Fat.bin with ODin 3.04 but the problem persists.I used the baseband :Bmj1 ; Amd; Bmd but with no ressult
I have a Galaxy Nexus with the volume buttons spoilt (not functioning). It is rooted and running on AOKP's 4.4 rom. I accidentally installed the wrong kernel and while panicking, I wiped the data and davlik cache. Now, I am stuck in boot loop. Also, when I plug it into the computer, the phone is UNAUTHORIZED according to adb server.
Is there any way to authorize my phone without booting into the OS itself? or Is there a way to boot into bootloader/recovery without authorizing the phone and without using the physical buttons of the phone?
I've rooted my samsung galaxy mega 6.3 GT-I9205 but I got stuck in a boot loop after trying to change my boot logo using a app called root tools. Before that everything with root worked fine.So I tried recovering the phone by going into recovery mode and wiping all of my data/factory reset and also wiping my cache. Both of these thing did not work.
So after that I went into download mode and tried to instal something I believe CWM. But now I can't even go into recovery mode because when I try, the phone says that it's going into recovery mode and then just reboots... and goes into a bootloop.
I tried flashing a stock Android 4.2 JB ROM that seems legit. After flashing, I rebooted my device and saw the standard Nexus boot animation. So far, I though all was well. It's not. My phone has been stuck in this constant booting state for hours. I pulled the battery after an appropriate amount of waiting and held down the power and volume down+up button. Instead of booting into Fastboot mode, it went straight to Odin Mode. All I can do with my device is boot to Odin Mode or watch the Nexus boot animation over and over again.
Ive been trying all day to boot into the recovery menu for my vibrant. I power off my phone . and i hold up and down on the volume button, while holding the power button. After i see the "vibrant" logo pop up i let go. that doesnt work. I try holding down Up and Down, while holding the power button for 5 minutes, doest work .
after my phone crashed / went unresponsive after a call I did what I've gotten used to doing which is taking out the battery to reset it. Though, this time I had the charger in which I'm guessing is what made the phone corrupt. Now I'm stuck in a boot loop with no way to reset it. Recovery mode doesn't help and I'm guessing there's no hardware reset button. I've never rooted or installed anything that's not from the free market. I'm living in Sweden but bought it in Germany so am reluctant to go through the hassle of returning it. Or does samsung have som kind of world wide warranty?
Phone got stuck on boot screen due the unseccessfull galaxo update (got foce close, and had no valid backup). Tried to odin 3 diferent firmware (iik5, jc4, jc6), every time odin flash passes bud afrer rebooting the phone loops boot screen.
i tried to do the one click clock work mod on my samsung fascinate with the phoenix kernel on the root of the sd card. everything went succesful but whe it turned back on, it kept looping, first the samsung logo appeared than a samsung.com logo followed and just looped. i cant go to any menu... cant get into hard reset or anything else!!
My samsung moment (NOT rooted with 2.1) gets stuck in a boot loop when I restart it. After about 10 mins the lock screen comes up and if I unlock it quick enough the phone runs fine but if I dont unlock it within a certain period of time it will just go back into booting up and go back to showing the samsung logo.
The phone has been running very sluggish since Ive been experiencing this and Im about to do a factory data reset but I dont feel like reloading all my apps and redoing all my settings. Does anyone know of a way to fix this without resetting the whole phone? anyone else experiencing the same thing? any help would be appreciated. Im about to get a blackberry, I love the android when it works but it just seems the slightest adjustment to the phone sends the whole thing haywire. Living with this aggrevation is becoming not worth it.
I rooted my samsung for the first time Friday (worked out great). I just installed Rom Toolbox Pro & was looking through the features (I should of backed up first thing!) & decided to install a custom boot animation (big mistake!). The boot animation worked fine but even though the phone boots up & actually works, the screen is stuck in the boot animation state & will not bring up the home screen.
I've tried everything (actually learned quite a bit) using CWM to install boot animation disable zips, clear all kinds of caches, & even clear data & factory reset (lost everything). Even used odin3 to install Jelly Bean (originally ice cream sandwich 4.0.4.) & still this f$%^ing boot animation will not clear off the screen.
The phone still works to where I can answer & if I flip it on the side I can use the voice app with the home key to see half the screen (scrolling is a pain) but if I click to the home screen the dam boot animation takes over the whole screen again.
The firmware updates & zip files don't work. Is there a full android system out there to restore it or some way easy to get my home screen back. I really don't want to turn it to a brick if possible.
Tried this ( the terminal emulator method) xda-developers - View Single Post - [MOD] STATUS BAR MOD'S 'Change the colour of your status bar and now pulldown ' then got a boot loop. Had Clockwork installed and created a backup, but now cannot return to clockwork mod recovery, only the stock recovery. I need to get into clockwork without going through ROM manager.
I tried to upgrade my firmware on my Samsung Galaxy S using Kies. The Firmware upgrade appears to have gotten stuck.Upgradeing firmware Do not disconnect a mobile device from the PC during upgrade process Progress Bar has "Upgrade is in progress.." and is stack at about 1/3.The phone screen shows a green triangle with Downloading... below it and "Do not turn off Target at the bottom.
We tried to root it and apply the lag fix via "OneClickLagFix" app (from the Market), and the phone was very fast for about a week, then slowed down SIGNIFICANTLY. Tonight, it just froze and will not boot past the Galaxy S screen. The screen will then go black and the four buttons at the bottom stay lit. We have gone into recovery and wiped the cache but no luck. Have not yet tried to wipe user data.
Transfer all data from internal storage to a separate drive, then wipe phone? If so, will I have to "flash" a stock/custom ROM to get the phone back up?
currently my Galaxy Tab P1000 is stuck at Galaxy Tab/Samsung logo.
Before this I'm on v2.3.3, rooted. Then I try to flash MIUI ROM where resulting my tab to stuck at boot screen. Try to restore nandroid backup, still stuck at samsung logo plus now cannot reboot into recovery. Download mode still can access.
Recently I have tried to root my Samsung Galaxy 3 7.0 (SM-T210R) WiFi edition. After unsuccessfully attempting to install a custom rom, I believe I have accidentally deleted the stock rom for the device..So now, whenever I turn the device on, it automatically brings me to CWM recovery. I have tried to install a different rom onto the device unsucessfully, giving me an error saying "format() expects 5 args, got 4" It also says (Status 7). I have also tried to connect my device to my computer and hook it up to Odin, but Odin does not recognize the device.
I started a firmware update (using Odin) and, when downloading the amss, samsung says "Bad block table read fail". a lot of times and the progress bar (on Odin) stay locked. And the update cant finish. So, I restart the mobile... but it always come with the "Downloading..." screen. I've tried the recovery mode [vol down] + [start call] + [end call] buttons, but it always go to "Downloading..." screen. I can't exit from the download mode, and the phone doesn't start any more. I've removed the battery, but the same... the "diskette logo" come with "Downloading..." all the times. So, two questions: 1) About the "bad block" message, I think it's because I left "turned on" the USB debugging. so, I want to start the phone to turn it off again. This make sense? 2) How to get rid of this screen? How to stop the download mode?
I have a Galaxy S running stock ROM. No lag fix no custom ROM no root nothing. Just now I tried going into recovery/download mode to see what features it have by pressing the volume down+home+Power button. Now the phone says "Downloading Do not turn of target! What can I do to solve this problem. Till now I haven't tried to restart the phone? Should I do that?
All of today my Samsung Galaxy Discover wouldn't turn on. Nothing. Black screen, no lights, no sounds, no vibrations - nothing. I left it all of today to see if it would get any better, but it didn't, so I took the battery out and put it back in. Now it keeps rebooting itself over and over again, and every time it boots to "Android System Recovery <3e>". I've tried a few of the options but nothing is working, it just keeps booting over and over again to that screen. How do I get it to boot to my actual phone, normally?
I got galaxy gio, which has Android 2.3.3, today at a worse moment of my life, I update my gio from Setting > About Phone > Update then it ask me for sign in, I login then it start updating after some time it says your phone is now restarting, then a 20 - 30 mints loading comleted and it stucks, then I restart it doesn't do anything, it only stucks at boot up screen, on that my screen just showing me Galaxy Gio S5660 and then nothing happened just stuck, I again restart but it stuck.
now I want to restore it to factory setting by pc, if it possible, I thing i have disturb the OS so I can only restore it by from my PC. I have lost my android
yesterday, i tried to update my samsung galaxy y and cleared the factory settings , data, cache etc. and when i tried to reboot the phone it remained at the samsung logo and it has been there ever since.
i have tried installing odin but when i try opening it after installation, it flashes and close meaning that i can not access it. i have been on this since 5 am today and things just seem not to work out well for me
I got one of the new vibrants that won't boot into recovery. Only the batches before august allow you to getting into recovery by holding vol up and down. I confirmed with t mobile that this a true statement, so i need another way in but cant figures it out i tried adb but it wont work either.
