So i removed alot of bloatware with Android Mate, but I didn't back up anything. Not that my phone doesn't behave, but is it possible to get all these apps back? Maybe get my phone back to factory state if I want to? No, I didn't make a backup file. I now, stupid of me. But if anyone else did, in theory shouldn't it be possible for me just to download that file and then "restore" the phone back to factory state?View 2 Replies View Related
I have the samsung mesmorize. I has a usb cord, but when I plug it in, there is no program. Is it just charging from my computer or is there a program I can use to back everything up? I had to reset my phone and had to spend the better part of a day getting back to the way it was. Please help.View 1 Replies View Related
The last 2 weeks, suddenly my emailaccounts were totally erased. One of them is Echange and the other one POP.
After installing them again there seems to be some content of the old accounts.
Is there a backup facility included in the phones software. I want to back up the contacts and settings to the SD card. Can't see anything in the manual.View 1 Replies View Related
I am new to the android phone and have a Galaxy. For some reason my live wallpaper has reduced from the full size to a fraction on my screen. Does anyone know how I can take it back to the full size please?View 2 Replies View Related
Very simple question but I can't work it out.
On the Galaxy S when I first went to 'applications' it would list all of the applications in a grid form, however for some reason it now has them in a list form.
How do I change it back?
Something weird happens to my phone. At times when I am browsing through my apps in the applications window, the phone suddenly goes back to the home screen after about 10-15 secs of inactivity. It vibrates a little bit as if the back button is being pressed. I am 100% sure I am not pressing the back button.
Other times, when I start up an app (gmail, facebook, internet, music player, etc) it goes back after about 10 secs of inactivity. It seems to always want to go back to the home screen and it will keep going back till it arrives at the home screen.
I just got my phone two days ago and haven't done anything much on the phone yet.
I wanted to know how i can do to go back to my android software. I updated my software to the 4.0.4 and i want to get back to the 4.0.3 how i can do so??View 3 Replies View Related

I have a phone rooted and upgraded to 2.2. It was like that when I bought. Some programs are uninstalled in my phone. But I want them back. And there are some new programs that I don't need.
So what can I do? And how can I do that? Does a factory reset reinstall the uninstalled stock applications?
When I first bought my Samsung Galaxy S, I shut down everything 3G related as my internet bundle didn't kick in until this week. Now I can't seem to switch 3G access back on. I've downloaded APNdroid, but I've clearly left something crucial switched off as 3G still not working. The instruction manual isn't very useful.View 3 Replies View Related
I'm a long time Nokia user and got my first android phone two weeks ago and there are still some learning to do in order to know how to use it properly. Today I accidentally removed one of the short keys from the home screen and I'm not able to get it back to it's place. To be more exact, it is the messaging short key which is located on the bottom bar of the screen. The other ones (Phone, Contacts & Applications) are still the, but when I'm trying to return the messaging icon back to the bottom bar, I always end up with the trash can over the area where I'm supposed to place the icon. What can I do, How do I get the icon back on the home screen?View 3 Replies View Related
Today I flashed XWJM8 on my Phone and it's all working perfectly, except there are no default sounds for my ringer and notification sound. The ringer is ok since I use one I downloaded anyways, but anyone knows how can I get the notifications sounds back/download them? It's hard to find a decent simple sound on the Internet.View 4 Replies View Related
I bought my new Samsung Galaxy S phone 3 weeks back. I am quite satisfied with it, but i have quite an irritating problem, my GPRS keeps on going back every now and then, like once every 2 minutes and then i have to turn the Flight mode on/off to bring it back. It might not be a problem in countries where 3G is available but here in India it's quite unsettling to see such a nuance in such a wonderful OS. I know it's not a problem with the carrier(Vodafone for me) as nokia phones work seamlessly in the same area.View 1 Replies View Related

Very happy with the i9000 in the last few days of ownership, using launcher pro in place of stock but otherwise mostly unchanged. One issue we have is that after being at home overnight on WiFi, the phone doesn't automatically re enable 3g. To restore the mobile data you have to go into the network operator selection and re select Optus (our carrier here in Aus). Leaving it on auto doesn't help, and you have to manually choose it each time (ie: it "forgets" what I selected or something). Using apndroid to mangle the apn on/off doesn't help. Restarting the phone fixes it but obviously not ideal.
Have tried entering the code to change it to gsm only instead of the default wcdma/gsm auto with no benefit. When the mobile data is working, it happily switches between 2g and 3g, but will sometimes simply stop working as per the wifi overnight problem and I have to manually select the operator again. This happens very randomly and can go several days without drama, our only a few minutes. While this data won't connect, the phone capabilities aren't affected and you can make and receive calls fine. In fact if you dial a number it sometimes causes the data to re connect.
Do I need to flash back to original 2.1 to get the official 2.2?View 3 Replies View Related

At certain angles under strong lighting (basically when light is shining onto, but not reflected back off the screen) I can see a line that looks like it might be the edge of a circuit board behind my screen (when the display is off). Initially I thought it was a scratch, but on closer inspection, it's too thick a line, and much too precise and engineered looking to be one.
It's sorta this shape and runs across behind the screen, about 2/3 of the way up:
Has anyone else noticed this? Tis rather odd.
When connecting my Galaxy-S to the Samsung Kies software, my telephone shows up with an incorrect telephone number. I did change the sim-card (and subsequent number) since first using it, but I never logged intio Kies with the old sim-card.The phone is rooted. How do I get Kies (or my Samsung phone) to show my current telephone number? In the phone properties (Menu, Settings, About, Status) the same wrong number is shown. When calling, the receiver sees the correct telephone number. So the issue is not operator related but telephone related.View 2 Replies View Related
Samsung should stop promoting the Galaxy Tab and fix the Galaxy S phones.Tab is running 2.2 and most likely has a fixed GPS.While the rest of us who paid for a product still have not gotten our money's worth.View 19 Replies View Related
I have configured my Samsung Galaxy S using my normal Gmail account. This has helped me to sync the Google Contacts with my phone.
Following are my questions:
1. Right now I have about a thousand google contacts synced to my phone. I want to remove them at one go. I know how to disable them from being appearing in contact list, but I want to know if I can delete them without going to factory settings.
2. I am using three applications (a) Gmail (b) Contacts (3) MVOIP. I want to know if there is a way that following combination works:
a- Google contacts appear on Gmail app
b- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "Contacts"
c- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "MVOIP application".
I know how to do
(a) - By synchronising google contacts,
(b) - by choosing display options
(c) - I do not know how to handle this and I want help.

I was originally going to get either the HTC Hero or Motorola Droid but found out they are both CMDA. and the Milestone is out of my budget. People have been suggesting to get the Samsung Galaxy S, that's also out of my budget and looks too much like an iPhone. So i stumbled upon these two phones.I'm leaning more towards the Spica because it has superior battery life, and 800mhz compared to the 528mhz the i7500 has. and it can also play DivX.What's making it a difficult decision is the i7500 has an AMOLED Screen. It can display 16,777,216 Colors while the Spica can only display 65,536 Colors I'm not too sure if that will make a difference. Also it has 5mp w/LED Flash while Spica is only 3.2.One phone has a little of both. This will be my first Android phone I'm coming from a Sony Ericsson W995.View 3 Replies View Related
I have recently picked up a Samsung Galaxy S Captivate (Android 2.1) on Rogers Wireless. I've been having an issue with the wifi on it, it only works intermittently when I'm at home. It will connect to my network without issues, but none of the data-enabled apps can access anything, they just time out. While this is happening my old iPhone (recent android convert) and my Nintendo Wii are able to connect flawlessly. This ONLY happens when I'm at home on my own network from what I've seen, when I'm on the wifi at my work everything works fine. Has anyone seen issues like this or have any suggestions as to what may be causing it? FYI I have tried different wifi channels, currently my router is setup to use TKIP on WPA2 for encryption.View 5 Replies View Related

I've recently got myself a samsung galaxy s4. Naturally, the first thing I did was root it and put a custom ROM on it. However, there are a few stock features that I would like back (Read: A FEW), such as the one that tracks your eyes so the screen doesn't rotate when you're lying down.
Is there any way (like a selective app pack, or apks) to get some of the stock features back on my custom ROM? I'm running the latest slimbean.
I need to get my phone is a working state. Can't boot into recovery, I can boot into Odin. How to restore my phone to a working state? It's a GT-i5510M, carrier is Bell.View 4 Replies View Related
How to get back the offical software to my galaxy s2 ?
I am using miui icecream and there is no miui jellybean for my phone yet and i wanna to get the offical software back.
I currently own a Samsung galaxy s2, which is still in warranty.
I was wondering if after i flash it with a custom ROM of ICS, i was thinking about sticking on Resurrection Remix ics v1.0 PRO.
If it were possible to literally put the stock operating system back onto it, potentially reapplying my warranty?
I really liked the Jelly Bean, but I want original s3 motion settings back. Is there any ROM or theme out there which can do this?View 3 Replies View Related

My phone was advertised on ebay as being simlocked to T mobile. However I quickly discovered it wasn't when my Orange Sim worked in it and no T mobile apps or logos appeared on my phone. I already have a Samsung Glaxaxy from Orange so instantly knew that my new phone from ebay was not up to date.As you can see one of my phones is running the latest firmware but the other one isn't AND also says it cannot be updated. What is going on? Has the seller messed with my phone or something?I am not interested in getting Froyo on either of my phones. I will get that when it is officially released. All I want is the ebay phone to be able to be updated. I have tried everything suggested on this forum including changing the product code. I tried to change it on the phone, no product codes were listed as a choice, I also changed the registry but nothing works. Have I got a dud phone because surely my T Mobile phone (which somehow allows an orange sim to work) can get JM3 update by now?View 4 Replies View Related

I just pre-ordered mine from the UK and I was wondering if I will able to use it on Tmobile's 3g in the US. I am so confused about all the frequencies! I would hate it if I have to stick with using EDGE on it. Also I did a little snooping around and it seems like the galaxy S will be coming to the US later this year...on all 4 major carriers? So is it correct to assume that the phone will work on Tmobile 3g or are they going to sell different carrier exclusive models so that it will work on each individual network?View 20 Replies View Related

I have a Galaxy Note 2 International Version (GT-N7100), Rooted and was running the Illusion 4.2.2 ROM and TWRP Custom Recovery
Since yesterday, i have been just been stuck on the Boot Loop.
I dont mind, unRooting and then rooting again, however i would like to backup my internal storage, is there anyway i can do this?
This is my first android device and i'm loving it... but one thing that irks me is the use, or lack thereof, of the back button.
As I am navigating menus and options in the Settings, I cannot simply go back one menu using the back key. For example, if I go to Settings->Battery Manager->Battery Profile Options and want to go back to the Settings screen, I cannot.
Pushing the back button does nothing and I can only go back to the Settings menu by going Home, then re-entering.
Another quirk regarding the back button is when reading emails. Using a regular email account such as Hotmail, I cannot simply read an email and go back to the inbox using the button.
It makes navigating the phone very tedious.
