Samsung EPIC 4G :: Music Player / App For Better Volume Adjustment?
Even with stock earbuds, the Epic's lowest volume setting is hot enough to cause hearing damage if used over long periods of time, particularly if the style of music being listened to isn't classical and has a continuous loud dynamic level. With higher quality earbuds like the Etymotic HF2, UE Superfi 5vi and Shure E4c (all of which I've tried), the lowest setting becomes unbearably loud. Since the music player and system adjust the same exact level, there's no way to affect the gain structure of the Epic, which means that better earphones become painful to listen to -- which is a shame, since the Epic sounds good out of the box and benefits from the upgrade. Does anyone know of a different music player or app that allows you to adjust the volume to lower levels than the system volume currently provides?

Samsung Fascinate :: Music Player Sorting
I put most of my MP3s on the Fascinate and the Music Player sorts them by song name. I'd prefer to sort them by filename. Is there a way to change the sorting? If not, is there any 3rd party music player that allows sorting by filename and sounds as good (or better) than the default Music Player?

Samsung Fascinate :: Music Player Is Not Reading Song Tag Info Of AAC Files Properly
My music has ID3 version 2.3 tags (most common). About 10% (2,500) of my music is AAC (.m4a) format which is MP4 tagged. All my songs are very organized into 11 different genres. Everything has a title, artist, and album assigned to it and looks great in my iPhone, iTunes, MediaMonkey, and Mp3tag program. When I add my music to my Samsung Fascinate, it reads the tags of my .m4a music but when I go to genre, things are messy. It appears to be putting albums in the genre section (only with .m4a files). Example: Lets say I have an .m4a of Garth Brooks, Thunder Rolls, No Fences (album), Country (genre)In my Samsung Fascinate player, it will be found in the genre section under "No Fences". If I click "Country" genre where it should be, the song will not be listed there. It seems to be reading .m4a Album tags as genre and not reading the appropriate tag "Country".I hope someone can help straighten this out without having either manually edit each song tag OR convert all of them to .mp3 and deplete the song quality.

Motorola Droid X :: Music Player - Play Songs In Alphabetical Order - Play All Songs By Artist
Coming from a Iphone to the X the music player is a little lacking. Often I will go into a certain artist and want to play all the songs by that artist, or thumb through all their songs to find a certain one. On the stock music player on the X this seems hard to do (maybe I'm missing something). if I pull up the music by artist and select a certain artist then it shows me all their albums (The iphone has the option at this point to select all albums and see all the songs of that artist in alphabetical order). The X doesn't give a option to select all albums at this point. If I go to artists and long press on a certain artist I can select play and it will start playing all that artists songs, then I can hit pause and go into the list from that point to see all the songs but they seem to be in a random order making it hard to find a specific song. I've tried a couple other players and haven't been able to find one that functions like the Iphone, makes it hard to quickly find one song.

HTC Hero :: Music Player Does Not Play After Formatting
Earlier I formatted my memory card, probably shouldn't but I thought that as I hadn't put anything on this should be fine. Is this where the sync programme lives, I'm guessing if it is I can download it from somewhere no bother. So, I downloaded a couple of songs off T-mobile, but since formatting my music player does nothing, just says that there are no songs. Doesn't let you search or anything.

Motorola Droid :: Play Order In Music Player
I finally got around to putting some music files on the phone, sounds great, but the player plays the tracks of an album in alphabetical order, not in normal track order. Does anyone know of a solution to this? Right now all my music files (28 gigs worth) are wma files....could this be the problem? I want to convert all of them to mp3, anyone know of a quick way to do this. I know there are several programs I can use to do this, it just sounds rather time consuming. Hoping someone might have some tip for quick conversion.

HTC Desire :: Music Player Defaults To Alphabetical Order When Selecting An Album To Play
Does anyone know how to fix the default Music player's behaviour when long-pressing on an album and selecting "Play" ? If you start playing by quick-pressing the album, it shows you the list of songs. If tagged correctly, this list is in correct song order, and will play the album in order from whichever song you select to start from. If not tagged correctly, it shows in alphabetical order. So far, so good.. can't complain... BUT... If you start playing an album by long-pressing it and selecting "Play", it plays it alphabetically, regardless of the status of the tagging.

Samsung Fascinate :: How To Sync My Fascinate With Music On My Computer?
Lemme start by saying I was finally able to figure out how to sync my fascinate with the music on my computer. It took a while but I did eventually figure it out.But now I'm having a very strange problem. I'm unable to mount the phone when I connect it to my computer. The problem is whenever I plug the phone into the computer the phone doesn't recognize a USB connection. So I can't go in and tell it to mount. The weird part is that if I just plug the phone into the wall to charge that's when I get the USB notification that I've connected to a USB.Somewhere my phone has mixed the two inputs up.

Samsung Galaxy S : Car Auxillary Port Phonecalls
Brand new SGS owner/user here on T-Mobile in the UK. I rooted the phone the other night and am aware it opens the handset up to be used for whatever. When i connect my handset up to the cars aux port using the 3.5mm connector music, FM radio, CoPilot, all work fine. However when someone calls me and i answer i would have thought I could hear them through the cars speakers but this is not possible. The loudspeaker on the galaxy is not the best but that wouldn't matter if it used the Aux port in call as an output. Am I missing something here? Is there a setting that perhaps I have overlooked or missed?

Android :: How To Play Audio Files At Phone Volume Level / Not Speaker Volume
I'm writing an Android application that plays back voice mails using Media Player, which are just WAV files that have been sent to the device. When I play the file, it's played on the device's speaker, or else it plays through headphones if they're plugged in. What I want to do is play the file so that it sounds to the user as if it's at the same volume level as a normal phone call. Is there a way to route playback so that the file is played through the phone's ear piece instead of out of the speaker?

When I try to hit the power button I usually hit the volume button as well because of the positioning so my ringer goes from vibrate to on or changes volume. The power button really should have been up top.

I have made changes to folders names just to see if the app recognizes the changes, even removed some music, but when I load the card the music app dosent see the changes. Its like its somehow cached. I have gone in the "settings/applications/manage applications/music/" and cleared the cache, but under "settings/applications/manage applications /music player" it wont let me clear the cache. I have also noticed that certain folders have different album art thats ok not worried about that just want all my music to show. have any of you ran into this problem or know how to have it reload the music on the memory card ?

Samsung EPIC 4G :: Play Music Via USB Connection In Car?
Question: has anyone here been able to play music via USB connection in their car? If so, then list your car brand and model. How did you do it? Are the songs all MP3? from Itunes? Are the songs in any particular folder on the microSD card? Me: 2010 Prius NAVI...the car audio can only read 3 songs out of many (all from Itunes). I do have 2 songs from Amazon MP3, but they are not read either. The same 3 songs over and over again. My phone is in "mass storage" mode.

Connect the Fascinate to your computer with the included USB cable. 2. Slide down the notification panel at the top of the screen. 3. Tap USB connected. 4. Tap Mount. 5. On the computer, open the drive that represents your device. It should be in My Computer/Computer for Windows users or the Finder for Mac users. 6. Supported formats are: AAC AAC+ AMR-NB AMR-WB EVRC MIDI MP3 QCELP SP-MIDI WAV WMA 8. After copying music, swipe the Notification panel down, tap USB storage, then tap Unmount. Samsung Captivate :: Default Music Player
I'm afraid to root my phone and I understand that's the only way to get rid of the default music app on my captivate. If I can't get rid of it, is there a way to make it a lame duck and set another player as my default player. Here's why: I recently installed Playerpro which has all the features I need in a music player but when I press the headset buttons (which I need for my daily walks) it automatically starts my default music player, which I never use. Granted this may be in an issue with the app as Mixzing and others don't have this issue but is there anyway to set defaults on my droid.
